For those of you who are curious, I personally use cold cream mostly as a makeup remover, hand cream, moisturizer on my cheeks in the winter, and as a base for homemade makeup.
The armature theatre company my parents were part of in the 90's used cold cream (probably the 'ponds' brand cold cream mentioned by another commenter, but I can't remember for sure) as makeup remover for stage makeup - I wasn't aware until very recently that it originally had other uses as well. I used to use cold cream to remove heavy stage makeup, but now I don't wear that anymore I just use it to remove lipstick. I'd also recommend applying generously before playing in the snow on cold windy days. But make sure your hair is secured under a hat or something, otherwise all your wispies will end up stuck to your face and that's really annoying when wearing mittens 😂

I've done the cleaning one, it works. But with a thick moisturiser. I wasn't sneezing around dust and i'm allergic.

I use pond’s cold cream for nightly cleansing/moisturizer and my face has never felt smoother. I’d love to try one of your homemade recipes

Yes I would use cold cream as makeup removal ❤ buy now use coconut oil for that
