- It finally happened. The world first blindfolded speedrun of Super Mario 64 with 0 Stars. This challenge requires the execution of extremely precise tricks like LBLJ, SBLJ and most notable DDDSkip, tricks that most visual speedrunners struggle with, all while blindfolded.
This is the world record of 0 Star in SM64 as of 18th December 2023!
Personal remarks: A category that EVERYONE believe to be impossible. I cannot express how much it means to me that I finally can call myself world record holder in EVERY blindfolded Super Mario 64 category, including 0 Star. It was a really rough journey, but we improved the 1 Star WR by quiet a lot during this grind as well. It took a total of 21 days with around 3h per day of grinding SBLJs and runs for this to happen.

120 was considered impossible in terms of "hard work" but 0 was more like "no way, bro, you clearly need to see what you are doing", but once again Bubzia breaking the boundaries of what is possible

why is 0 star harder thab 120 star
doing all 120 stars seperately is much easier than in 1 run
Except in like a year people are going to figure out it was faked like all the other "blindfolded" speed runs
120 is inhuman memory, 0 is inhuman execution both are just insane you're insane

Pretty insane speedrun. It's pretty interesting how the strats you came up with often have no regard whatsoever for the camera angle, resulting in these insane blind angles that feel very claustrophobic to watch.
Thank you! Haha yeah those are my favorite strats honestly, especially in 70 star we have quite a few of them in combination with the lock cam :D Its mostly just more convenient angles for the strats and since I dont need to see, it actually helps me^^
The complete history of the super Mario 64 blindfolded speedruns ?
(other question unrelated but i couldn't find the answer : how can you throw bowser from mario and not the holp while using pause buffered hitstun? Because this way you conserve the holp but you should see Bowser appear at the holp or am i missing something?)

Yep huge moment for everyone. The thing is if he died in FS, he would have been thrown into DDD ruining the run. After that no matter how long it took him to complete the run, no matter what, it would be the world's first 0 star. (As long as he didn't game over on the final Bowser.)
@@ClipReplay404 Yeah on day 5 or something he pulled off the DDD skip but then died in FS. Would have been one of the fastest WR grinds if he'd made it at the time.
Even if he did lose count of his lives and not grab the 1-up and game overed, he did save and continue on bowser 2, so he could have loaded the save game and completed it (albeit quite a few minutes slower).
Once he got that second key, it was just a matter of time. One heck of a moment.
Which is harder, 0 star or 120 star in your opinion
Honestly this couldnt have been better. The fire sea mistake was nothing else than a prove of steel nerves on top of unmatched skill and dedication. Knowing that a death would kick you out of ddd again and ruin the whole run and still being able to back it up on your first attempt is truly unbelievable. You are a legend

I don't watch much speedrunning anymore, but 7/7 blindfolded category wr's is absolutely incredible and I'm just flabbergasted, the first time I watched Bubzia was SGDQ 2021 and even that run was absolutely mind boggling, peak in every now and then ever since. Big Congratz Bubzia.

This is truly incredible. Playing games blindfolded was already an insane but very interesting challenge, but seeing you pulling off glitches blindfolded that I can't even pull off while looking at my screen and even knowing how it works (lacking the practical skills), this really blows my mind.

What I want to know is where you even go from here? Holding all 5 blindfolded WRs is such a monumental and incomprehensible achievement - arguably the greatest of any game ever - and yet here you are. Whatever comes next, I'm looking forward to it.
There will be more :D Next project is probably going back to 16 star for a final grind, before saying goodbye for good to that category. I will soon reveal my next main speedgame though :)

I did a "human theory" segmented run of 1 star a few years ago, and I was already on pace in runs to beat it at this point because I found faster strats :D
