One of the best singers, ever. The best interpreter of Bacharach/David songs. Hope all is well with her.

I started listening to Dionne when I was 15 years old .. I'd seen a 8 track tape of her's in my older brothers car .. I thought it would give us something incomes he being 10 years older ..Thou having such a role model as Dionne was . She gave me away to vocalize my own voice .To music That in its day ( Bacharch & David ) was very difficult to sing .. Never mind someone who could play .. As a kid I won 3 Talent shows singing Rain drops keep falling .. Thank you Dionne for your class and Grace .

I've been a fan of Dionne Warwick since I was 12. She has such a unique voice- unmistakable. I've seen her in concert several times and she was terrific. Unfortunately I watched the season of Celebrity Apprentice she was in and her nasty bitchy diva antice kinda spoiled the illusion. She is still a great vocalist- an icon

I lost all respect for her when she and Cissy Houston didn't show up to Aretha's funeral. Cissy, Aretha and Dionne go way back to the way back days before Whitney was born. What a shame it is they couldn't put their petty differences aside to go give Aretha the respect (no pun intended) she has earned over these many years. Dianna Ross white wanna-be ass is no better, she grew in the same hood as Aretha. Neither of them should ever speak Aretha's name again.

A lot of us don't get to funerals that we would like to be at!!! One doesn't get a lot of notice to put space aside for a funeral, and if we have work commitments, it's often impossible to attend. It has happened often to me, in an ordinary world!!!!!

I shouldn't respond to this, but...Aretha didn't like many women, she mostly hung out with the guys. Gladys Knight has gone on record several times to share stories of how Aretha was dismissive and disrespectful to her. Just because people are contemporaries doesn't mean that they are friends.
