I have to try that speaker trick. I bought a 70's 6V6 model in 1996. Thinking I scored a second 6V6 model in 2002, it was sadly the 6AQ5, what a disappointment. I do agree with all of the points of this review.
6AQ5's are a small bottle 6V6. Also, the Music Master Bass were the only Fender amp that used a transformer for a phase inverter, rather than a vacuum tube.
