when you calculated 12mm xx & yy axix lenght may be it will ,L=3000-2*side covers+2*300-(2side*2*top &bottom*)
so,L=3000-2*100+600-4*50
L=3000-200+400
L=3200
L=3.2m

Bend bar cover should be times to 4 because of top and bottom and two sides, also minimum concrete cover for footing on ground should be 75mm.

hello sami, you have not subtracted the hook lengths of 2D in the first steel calculation. aren't we supposed to subtract the lengths caused by extensions and bending?

thanks for the video sir but if 50mm is concrete cover and multiply by 2 for top or bottom so is the one side i think it should be multiply by 4 to minus the both side top and bottom concrete cover

3. Even you didn't deduct 2 side bend angle. It should be deduct as follows if 90° angle we have to follow Biritish standard formula .It means 2d "d" mean dia. 2*12=24mm for one side, so two sides to be deduct 24×2=48mm

Am not sure to my understanding, L=3000-2covers + 2*(300-2covers)
L = 3000-2*50 +2*(300-(2*50))
= 3000-100 +2*(200)
= 2900+400
= 3300
=3.3 M
No of bars =( 3300/200)+1 =(16.5)+1
=16 +1
= 17#12-200c/c

Here's the simpliest way Lt= L+4(sidecover) = 3000+ 4(50) = 3200mm/3.2m
Duration 2nd step means vertical length of steel calculation have doubt

7. And you tall total 15 bars on x direction but it should be 16 bars. As follows (3000-(2*50))÷200= 14.5 ,so 15 bars + 1 bar = 16 bars.

Kindily explain the basic concept underlying in selecting different diameter for vertical bars here discussed as 16mm and base as 12mm .similarly as other experts in the example selected 12 mm verticae & !ask 8 mm. Kindily explain I have not been able to under stand.

How the length of the reinforcement of the vertical section is 5 meters?

Imthiyaj Ahamed u mean that top bottom cover should be subtracted two times because it is on both side of bending??
You asume the length of hooks iqual to h-2sides cover, this principle is not always fulfilled.The rest is ok congratulations.
What about stirup weight
