I loved sade when she came out originally, music was amazing...When I heard this I was gobsmacked!! You always seem to pick the right singer for the right song every time!! @@dogfightdiary5712 What a disrespectful comment. Shame on you. This song has been covered many times including by famous pop stars, and personally this take sounds the closest to Sade. The lady singing in this video sounds sweet and the band / instrumental composition aligns accordingly to the original but they made it more edgier, with a few added surprises, which was very cool. Sade and her band would be proud.

Lesley Williams sings like Sade, she moves like Sade, she performs like Sade! Incredible! I never thought an absolute match both in rendition and in music is possible.
She moves like Sade, she performs like Sade and the whole band is amazing. No doubt ! But she doesn't sing like Sade Adu. Her voice is very nice but she's missing this velvet you can ear when Sade sings.

I also noticed that about Lesley, the dress with open back and sings barefoot just like the beautiful Sade.

Always was a big fan of Sade and her amazing voice and articulation. And both the band and Lesley did a fabolous job on this one. It totally catches the feel of a smokey jazz club with a tight band and a great vocal performer.
What a difficult song to replicate. Sade has such a unique and sultry voice. Lesley has done an incredible job with her own amazing style. The mix is beautiful and top shelf.

I know everyone’s simping on the gorgeously stunning, stunningly gorgeous Lesley here (and rightly so - me too) …..but for me this version is made both by the slinky, sinewy bass lines and that utterly gorgeous Tele (is it a Fender or just a T-style guitar?). It’s fantastic and the tone takes this to another level. Obviously though, sensational playing from every member of this incredible band. This was sublime.

Great arrangement.......beautiful silky vocals, the edgier more pronounced guitars and keyboards than the original really ramp this song up. Every Friday I am amazed how you guys produce such a quality product week in week out. Fantastic !

The whole band is fantastic,and there is magic in the voice of this girl....
Sade and her band are tight - incredible syncopation and instrument fill-ins supported by rhythmic percussion and base. This cover does not let that down. Awesome.

But this time, I'm speechless...to express what Lesley Williams did with this song...
She has a way and a charm that is unique to her..., which I think is fantastic, but this time, she immersed herself in the music with body and soul...

There must be a reason we don't see covers of Sade's songs very often. It's because they're so damn hard to play!! Congrats, You did an excellent job!!
A lot of their music is straightforward and basic and not complex at all. Yet it's done to perfection. If there's any difficulty it's in getting the "feel" or tone of the music correct. Some people play it too fast, while others too slow. HSCC gets it right.

Wow......incredible job on this...this woman is about as close to the voice of Sade as i have ever heard. That voice is unique and nearly impossible to duplicate, but this lady has it down. As usual the band is right on point with the instruments and they added their own touch again.....Australia is loaded with incredible vocalists .....hands down the best cover band on the planet.

She’s brilliant. Also check out U.K. singer Jessie ware she is amazing and a modern U.K. version of Sade. Jessie’s music is timeless like sades. Jessie is so underrated.

Boy oh boy covering Sade is no mean feat. From vocals to what each and every band members master of their instrument is another damn task on its own. Fantastic vocals and playing.

There’s a reason I keep coming back to this performance… it’s called pure Sade. It’s incredibly difficult to do the Sade sound. HSCC band achieve what many other bands fail to do with Sade. Pure!

ANOTHER UPDATE: You know when I pressed play for the first time on this Cover of Sade’s “No Ordinary Love”, I was thinking ok just another Cover Band. Trying to do not only a tough song but a song from my all-time favorite smooth jazz artist, Sade. So HSCC had a mighty mountain to climb with me, Cover, or no Cover. Anyway, when I finished hearing the first play, my jaw dropped, and I said wh-------at! So, after playing it over repeatedly. I stopped to contemplate what I had heard. The music sounded better than Sade’s band. Each member of the band was in their own superb space-feeling it-intertwined with each other’s space and in the zone. They sounded like one sounding instrument-Tight! Special shout out to the horn; it added a nice emotional twist, especially the last note. The singer, Lesley, was definitely channeling Sade, including the dress and mannerisms. Her vocals were spot on and equaled Sade-oops I don’t believe I just said that, oh no-but yes, I did. The voice, the tone, and the movement were perfect. Together, HSCC’s cover of Sade’s “No Ordinary Love” has got to be the best cover of any song by anybody at any time.

My , this was no ordinary cover... Just a beautiful classy song to start with by Sade, that very few ladies could pull off and she did it with ease. Great band also.

Lovely, sultry performance by Lesley and what I really like is the fact she made the song her own, rather than trying to sound exactly like Sade. In all honesty Sade's voice is so unique there is no point in trying to copy her. The guitar work is simply outstanding. Great job.

This is an admirable attempt at an incredibly difficult yet simple song. However, there is absolutely no comparison. Sade sings it with authenticity and pure heart, she feels it. This girl sings it well, but sings it the way she THINKS the song should sound as opposed to how she FEELS the song should sound. No soul, no heartache, nada. Singing by numbers. It’s a damn good karaoke performance, nothing more nothing less. The band outshines her vocals.

This is a study in superb taste and restraint ... as if they said, "the only way to pull this off is to play it low-key even more than the original." It's like everyone was watching every beat and note they made.

Every part of the production is just excellent. The drummer is so clear and his laying down of the pocket. Jeff Porcaro would be proud. This group is a real inspiration to all of us during these trying times.
