- LIVE testing of Gemini Tackle's Tidy Stems | Loads of carp-catching action, plus a detailed review | Carp Fishing 2020
CARPology's Joe Wooltorton and Luke Venus head to Coking Farm Fishery's Long Lake to put the new Gemini Tackle Tidy Stems to the test. Said 'Tidy Stems' have been designed to provide the ultimate quick-change means of fishing solid PVA bags, and the boys certainly gave them a good testing. From the carp rigs they use to tying up solid PVA bags, plus a lot of carp-catching action, this certainly is a fun and educational-packed film.

Am I missing something? Why not use the loop method with the tubed setup? Saves cutting line every time.
As in the loop method used at 3:50?
Gareth yes that loop.
Forgotten Paths surly the tubing isn't that tight on the line, they can fit a metal pin in it of a bigger diameter!
Cracking stuff gents..👍👍🍺🍺
I love pva bag fishing, it's just nice to have supple braid not stretched out straight on the lake/river-bed ready to fly into the mouth of a carp.
Good videos my lovely lambs, enjoy cooking farm good cat lake long lake, thanks for tips
Watching with subtitles is brilliant ‘although their apologists I’m joe’👌😂
The sube do seem more hilarious than ever with Joe tbf 😂
I've watched one or two of my own videos before with subs on. The best I had was "I smashed my peepee" when it was meant to say I smashed my pb 😂
them tidy stems looks great, just ordered the tubing kit ... great tip
Cracking video really enjoyed! Ive just started using the gemini tidy stems, they are great! Just out of curiosity what micro pellets are going in to that pva bag? 🎣🎣🤘🤘
Awesome guys .. plenty fish.. cheers Chris & Sam
Who cares about B roll when you’re netting that many carp 😎😂
Nice idea , Although no way of dumping the lead if fishing snaggy waters , with a short hook link could the fish not bump you off from the lead ?
Bang on joe, would be cool if you could get some videos in lockdown about stories of people you’ve met 👍
Use the same system but with a 1 foot leadcore leader. Make the bags up in advance just the same. I suppose the stems are useful where leadcore is banned.
My favorite swim. Have caught so many fish in 47. Had my cat PB twice over in there this year.
Could you not use a loop to loop knot on the tubing kit rather than keep tying them
Been looking at these myself after having used the Avid ones I found too much metal work involved for me to feel confident in using them, not to mention I had one fail when tying some rigs at home!
Could you advise me which video it is that you mentioned Rob ties up the solid bags please?
Winter session at Farlows in Jan...
I make my own, as i wasnt happy with the avid ones, i just use korda solid bag stems inside the lead and use boom and crimps to form the actuall stem works a treat
@@rywieldsrods93 that’s a great shout. I’m on it now 👍🏼
@@SPS_survivor let me know how u get on mate some leads house the Korda bag stems perfectly some brands might need drilling slightly they work a dream mate. The avid ones are s***e sometimes the lead slides off the stem but I've had the stems budge also exposing that nasty wire 😒
"They're very much shoal fish in ere"
What pva bags do you use looks alot tighter and neater
Hey guys , are you both using the AXS sonik bivvies now, if so how do you rate them . Cheers 🎣🎣👌🏼
mark Willi
What leads are you using Joe?
nice video, very informative.
What size and make pva bags do you use in this video that gives them such a tight finish? Doing an order online and difficult to know what size will work as well as yours. Brilliant video by the way and thanks in advance 👍
Small to medium pal
My guy looks like mclovin
Hello what rod and reel set up are u using
My set up was daiwa basia x45 df 3 1/4lb tc rods. Reels were daiwa crosscasts
@@nuffinbutfishing okay thank u are thay 10ft rods or 12 as looking for new set up 😊
@@sxfwilson6603 12fts :)
@@nuffinbutfishing ok thanks for the replie 😊
LOL... finally you catch some fish guys. Job well done :-)
We do manage sometimes haha
@@nuffinbutfishing You mentioned a video with Rob Burgess for tying the PVA bags but i can't seem to find out. Can you point me in the right direction please?
@@stuartdoughty6580 it's a winter tactics one filmed a couple winters ago on farlows :)
Braid without a leader? Surely that's gonna cause some damage on a tight line?
@Forgotten Paths braided mainline
@Forgotten Paths look at 4:07
@@AlexSmith-dz5gg Hi Alex. No braid was used. The line I was using is Berkley cm90 mono. :)
Imagine fishing a runs water with 3 rods each lol.
Imagine being that bothered
No need to imagine. Give the video a watch. The result is cracking fun :)
