Rockford Fosgate Stage 2 Speakers - Replacing JM Rokker
Вставка
- Опубліковано 26 сер 2024
- I install Harley's new Rockford Fosgate fairing speakers in my 2020 road glide, while still using the JM Rokker amplifier. It's a mixed setup, but has its benefits. In the end everything was a snap and sounds great !

Love my RF's. I did the full set up of amp, speakers, cables and a sony ax7000
Thanks for making this video. Couple questions. 1. What year is your bike? 2. No wire harness speaker kit required? Pull out old, screw in new? Everyone at Harley tells me you need the amp...you need a DSP....on my 09 SG I did what you did here, I simply put in better Boom speakers with the stock radio and they sounded WAY better and good enough for my wife and I. Hoping to do the same with our 23 RG. Again, thanks for the 411. Tim.
Thanks for watching , my Road glide is a 2020. I believe they are the same connections as stock. I’d imagine your local dealer could verify as well
Not sure if you watched the video but he already had an amp installed so he was just upgrading speakers. Amp is pretty necessary with better speakers.
I had the Rockford Fosgate stage 3 speakers and amp installed on my Ultra Limited last year. Night and day difference compared to stock. Clear without distortion at 75 mph with volume at 6. Stock HD radios and earlier cvo boom sound like old transistor radios in comparison.
Agreed , I think it gets the most points for clarity. I can’t wait to get some riding in come spring !
Oops. Meant stage 2 also.
I had a Rockford Fosgate amp & upgraded speakers on my bike it sounded great. However I got caught riding in the rain on a weekend trip in PA, and the amp must have gotten a little wet under the fairing. Called and riding in the rain voided the warranty lol.
@@buffaloriders that’s too bad , we end up in the rain so much. That’s one of the only issues I’ve had with my XC is the rain shorting out two radio hand controls.
@@buffaloriders I thought they were "Element Ready" ( R.F term) ?
Just ordered a set with the amp. Will see when they show up😂😂😂
I ran mine from CT to Yellowstone and sturgis and back at full volume for 14 days. They cranked!
A friend of mine has the jm rokker system on his bike. I think it sounds terrible. He's had lots of issues. Lots of other better audio to choose from.
where did you order your speakers from? Also what size are the speakers? Did you install an AMP with the system?
Stock size 6.5 speaker ,aftermarket amp j&m its in the video
Seems everyone is having audio issues latley
Somedays, yes
What kind of amp are you using ? Brand model
It is still the amp that came with the JM Rokker kit.
What kind of windshield is that?
Klockworks pro touring 12”, dark tint. Thanks for watching!
Where can I order these speakers
Thanks for watching, you can get them straight from Harley !
@@3_AM I'm in Puerto Rico, I hope they have in dealer here , cause I can't order to down here cause considered international, sometimes I hate this fuckn island
@@3_AM unless I can get a dealer in florida to mail them to me if I purchase from them via phone , any suggestions?
@@unclebuck6814ful if you use the part number in the description and go direct to Harley’s website I believe they’ll ship international
@@3_AM I already checked they said they will not ship to Puerto Rico, even though is a US territory.
sounds good considering you have no sub
Well it looks like your speaker selection is at the bottom and 1 step up and then another step up. Instead of wasting money you should have had a soundz system , volenteer audio, cicada system or even better have Carlos at NVS audio. And stop spending money on inferior products. J M speakers are no better than stock
You seem to know more about speakers than most so if someone had the Rockford fosgate stage 3 done could they simply swap out the speakers and keep the Rockford amp and wiring ?
garbage...not worth it...rockford fosgate can't supply systems period...do your homework...
John, what do you recommend? I have stage 2 boom amp and stage 1 harley fairing speakers. Looking to drop in some better speakers only in the upper fairing.
@@baltimore_amp_repair The rockford speakers are okay, just way too much money for their worth. there are other better quality speakers out there that are better and more affordable. look around...maybe rockford will learn a valuable lesson once the truth about their prices get out...
@@downhomerspit some brands or model numbers out or is it a secret.
