As always, this was another great video. As a retired LEO, I enjoy the content on your channel, especially the 1911/2011 videos. Thanks for your service and for the time and effort you invest in these videos.
Love the Staccato videos. I have the Staccato CS, C2 Limited and an XC. The P Limited is my next purchase followed by the XL or vice versa. Great guns!
I had zero intention of liking and subscribing from this informative video before the first ten seconds then I saw u I subscribed idk why u seem alright
great video.. had similar issues with every gun I've tried to put a comp on.. swap spring out set up and just issues. not a gsmith obv as that was the end of my efforts. sold off the comps and barrels
I just picked up a C-2 from dawson Precision just down the road from where I live. Like you I was a little disappointed with the trigger. Mine didn't follow but it felt gritty. I went in and honed the hammer hooks which were too long as well. I brought them down to 20 thou and honed and polished the hammer hooks and sear engagement along with the secondary bevel. No excuse for a drop in fire control group at this price point. None! I called CS at Staccato and ask if this was normal and got nothing but a non answer answer. Pure runaround. GRRRRR!! I wasn't upset for no other reason than like you, I do my own. To compare to my edc, a Les Baer Thunder Ranch Special they built for me years ago, the Staccato is nice, but is no where the gun the Les Baer is although at a very similar price. Sure wish Mr Les would make a double stack. Such tight accurate guns. I did a stacc type port on the C-2 myself in the shop by milling. No drilling! This allows me to use the standard C-2 holsters and as I went with the Alu. Frame, she is a fine carry gun. I did mill the slide for a direct mount of the latest gen. of the Delta Point Pro. Yep, short battery life. All my others are mounted with Holosun's. But as a died in the woll 1911 fanatic, I keep up with the shorter battery life of the Pro compared to the Holosuns. I wanted the larger window to see if I liked it. Kinda like as my Wife put it, going from a 19 inch tv to a big screen. Love it! I will say that the Staccato is very accurate. Going from hard fit bushing guns to a bull barrel had me a little worried until the first day on my private range. She is very accurate. Took out a Texas Rattler the following week straight thru the head. Fried em up and sure was tasty. Nope, doesn't taste like chicken at all. Smells like fish frying, taste like Quail Legs Yum!!! Once again, thanks for the content Guy! KnifeMaker
Baer made a few double stacks built on Para frames back in the late 90’s early 2000’s. I wish he would go to the 2011 style. That would be an awesome gun.
I have the same gun. Phenomenal. I’ve always wondered how the limited c2 fits in the staccato lineup. Have you shot the XC? Was curious how much better the XC is over the C2 limited. Both guns serve different purposes but wondered the accuracy and recoil comparison between the 2. Go Dawgs!
@@glocksrock1 I’ve heard the same thing about the XC but always wondered how much better it is than the others in the staccato lineup. And since the c2 limited has some of the same features as the XC I wondered how close they might be. Basically asking if it’s worth spending the money on an XC or Atlas and being able to notice a distinct difference between my C2 limited. I’ve heard once you get into this level of gun you end up spending a ton more for very minimal difference. Just wondered you’re thoughts
It’s not a big deal if you keep up with your gear, but some cops are not always on top of things. At least if it’s once a year I can have them all change the batteries at the same time. Kind of have to look at it from the lowest common denominator.
God bless our Southern men, your voice reminds me of my dad and how I miss him.

Beautiful dog brother
Thanks.
Do you have any issues running a single vs the ambi safety it comes with?
should i get the c2 with comp or get the heritage and do porting. or do porting on the c2 without comp?

I have an XC and also did a review on it. The XC is in a class by itself.

Go Dawgs! 3-Peat
First one in!
moving on a Steiner MPS.. i'll put a battery in every 6 months.. plus you can find them for $400 instead of P2 $599 and never in stock
I love the steiner mps, I don't think changing the battery twice a year is a big deal. It's the best one on the market imo.

@@glocksrock1 that makes sense. For us gun nuts it shouldn’t be an issue but I can see from that standpoint.
i HIT THE like button. it was EASY

It happens! ;
