Your video boosted my confidence in the roadmap that I have set to myself. I would appreciate it if you could make a video talking about graduation project ideas or advice for people majoring in IT/ cybersecurity.
Hi Unixguy, 1. just want to make sure, with my background as an OSCP holder and a junior pentester, did you mean in your video that it is not as beneficial as someone who has SOC analyst experience or GRC to be in the cloud security profession ? I am planning to take my career a step further by choosing a next subfield to roll in. 2. some folks told me that having AWS solution architect associate certification is more important than AWS SysOps Administrator Associate to become a cloud security professional. really need some enlighment for these points. Thankyou for your kindly feedbacks. Cheers.
Hi Josh, 1. you have enough background to do cloud certs, SOC certs, or GRC Mastery. 2. Either is fine, its just that the aws security specialty is pretty dense so having aws knowledge and practice prior helps
I spent 18 months as a Provisioning Analyst in Active Directory years ago before the cloud really became a thing. 'Azure' was not part of it then. I have finished Google Cybersecurity Certificate, I worked seven years in PCI tech support, I have a bachelor's with a social sciences background, and I'm taking the free ISC2 CC as prep for the Sec+ exam.
