Love this Miles, been wanting to switch up my setup and this video has been on my watch later playlist for a little bit now. Decided to watch it just now and it's really helpful! Thanks a lot
A tip for Everyone: When creating focus mode, try and create just two for now - Work mode and fit mode. This will give you give you a square widget with two solid and clear options, trust me you won't be needing more than two focus modes. It will be easy to place and also helps you set your mind on what you want to do. As for the sleep focus, you can create it and just schedule it without having to toggle it as you would pretty much want to sleep and wake up at the same time. This will save you from needlessly creating focus modes for too specific of an action and would eventually end up not being used at all.
This is super inspiring! It’s amazing how small tweaks in setup and app usage can completely transform a phone into a productivity powerhouse. Definitely trying some of these tips on my own device. Thanks for sharing!
It took me a lot of time to understand a use Focus mode. I setup 6 focus mode, some are triggered by time, some manually. The ones by time are the one in the evening and night. Evening, I display a simpler dashboard with the most important app, phone, iMessage, notes ,music, podcast. Night it's evening poorer in app. No notifications except family. The other focus mode are for Travelling, Walks / Biking, Video, Work time, with relevant app for each. I created shortcuts to switch from each mode, and I added them in a folder I set in the dock. By default all notification are set to off. and Only tur on the one I really need. since then, I'm really happy and the phone is really used to help me instead of me being used ;)
One thing apple should add is to hide the app library. Sure I will setup the home screen according to the focus mode but one swipe and all apps appear right away.
@12:58 You have the control panel setup with shortcuts to focus modes; how did you set it up like that? I’m struggling here. This takes out a single step of selecting the mode the traditional method, but I’m looking for convenience. You addressed it but would love a tutorial! Thank you!
how can i change the backround picture in each fokus? Somehow if i change the background, it is also changend in every other fokus. Can someone help me please?
Samsung phones are also dual edged sword: Multiple bloatware in the name of "One UI customisation", and two different nature brands (Samsung OneUI skin in offline approach, Google Android OS as an online approach). Ideally, I think: Apple is simple and direct, and no more confusion like One UI. 🤔
Hey Miles. I recently got the iPhone 16 Pro and updated to iOS 18.0.1. After 2 hours and 50 minutes of screen time, my battery dropped from 95% to 52%. I believe Apple claims better battery life. any thoughts?
Awesome content man! Sub’d! Few Questions please: how is your battery life with this setup so far? Screen on time? Battery percentage at the end of the day?
Great content, but you jut make Iphone 15 pro useless KKKKKKKKKKKK (besides camera) you are using the phone just for clock and remeinders, the cheapest phone could do the task, or just dont even use an Iphone at all
I say it falls on the user you are responsible for your actions you can’t blame the apps if you choose to install them. The problem is not the phone is you. That is my opinion on this.
That's not how addiction works. Yes, you chose to download the app at first, but as soon as it has hooked you, you almost have no choice but to keep using it. It is designed this way. How else are the tech companies going to keep you on there for so long? After all, that's how they make their money...
I’m watching this, procrastinating…

My favorite way to add a task is to triple tap the back of my phone. Double tap the back starts obsidian.
nice vid, can you tell us what the name for the quote widget at the fitness part?
also fantastical or apple calendar?
I think fantastical have better looking and more useful widgets
goodjob broski!
Doomscrolling way too much. This year I need to implement suggestions like this. Thanks!

I switched from strong to hevy to track my workouts, looks better and is cheaper

Depends how you were using it not the time, video games uses battery a lot more that browsing for example
if youtube had an option for no shorts, it would be perfect.
@@Mana__ there’s extensions to hide it on desktop idk about mobile tho

Watching this without having an iPhone 😅
Hey, how did you get that widget for insight timer on the home screen? Its not available on my iPhone.
that's some spot on Casey Neistat montage, well done!

Thanks
I like how you've set up your phone, but where do you keep the phone app? Do you generally not make calls?

that blue wallpaper at the beginning please?
I’ve just subscribed to your email 💌
but why would you need a new iphone ?
He need the other one to watch tiktok :)
😂😂
I think its cool but deleting unnecessary, distracting apps is enough.
that's the most important for sure
that's pro max don't get me wrong!
Our iphones !! What about the androids
how exactly do you turn a shortcut into a Focus button? In the control center setting i mean? that looks like great idea but it doesnt work for me
You create a shortcut to set the focus mode and then assign the shortcut as a button to the control center.
Why would you suggest deleting your UA-cam as a UA-camr
Thinning out the competition
Sorry I was seeing which all apps to delete, turns out i came out of doomscrolling after 3 hours later🙂
😂 relatable

bro, just said "our iPhones" as if every human on the planet owns an iPhone 💀

yeah not everyone has iphones obviously but i imagine that most people who click on a video with "iphone" in the title likely have one
Iphone and productivity don't belong in the same sentence though.
80% of the time yes I'd agree
