Happy fall!
Our leaves have peaked this week here in the Hudson Valley (upstate NY). And it's GORGEOUS! I may say the word "beautiful" 100 times in this video. I apologize in advance, lol, but I can't help myself. The world is absolutely beautiful right now and I'm so happy to share some scenes from my life this week with you all.
Tonight we have our first frost. So things at the cottage will look very different in my next video. So, I've tried to enjoy every last bit of the garden here this past week.

The autumn is such an amazing season. Our Heavenly Father made such a majestic statement with this time of year. The earth takes time to shed it's creative days and takes a nap. I'm orginally from Western Massachusetts but I live outside Atlanta now. The northeastern part of this country puts on a marvelous show🍂🍁 Enjoy your channel very much Kate😊

Fall in New England is legendary. Timing its arrival is difficult. In New Hampshire’s White Mts I arrived in late Sept. one year & all the leaves were gone! One Sept. in Maine it was so warm & humid the mosquitoes were thick as thieves. Planning a fall NE trip is a crap shoot!
New England can be a fickle girl sometimes but cider donuts make up for that 😁🍁🍂

That is so true! I've been meaning to get up to Vermont every fall to enjoy the leaves there ... but I'm always nervous that I'm going to be missing the good stuff here and that I won't even get the right time for up there, either, lol! All we can do is try : ) Have a wonderful week!

It is a beautiful absolutely gorgeous Autumn here in Michigan also! I love to watch the leaves fall, I love to smell them on the ground and kick through them like when I was a child. I love seeing the trees without their leaves because you can see the forms and branches which are beautiful to me. Thank you for the beautiful tour

I think many of us go through the same emotions you do when fall arrives. It's so beautiful yet so fleeting. I love every season, but if I had a magic wand, I would give one of the winter months to fall. Melancholy is the perfect word during fall because even though the scent, feeling of the air, and visual splendor is simply breathtaking, it is ushering in shorter days and cold weather that isolates us a bit from others. Not necessarily because of our choice alone, but many people stay inside during the cold winter. Still, there's a beauty in the quiet solitude of the winter when the earth is blanketed in snow and it's so silent you can actually hear the soft snowflakes settling onto the sparkling diamond snow. The air is crisp and clean and everything is hibernating peacefully until spring. I feel so blessed to live in an area that gets to experience all four of the beautiful seasons.

I want to find my cabin in the woods, paint it pink and crochet hats and wrist warmers. I will have cats, probably a dog or 2 and I will never stop learning, whether formally or informally. I want to live the next season of my life in absolute peace and awe of the world. Maybe a little travel, some warm homemade bread and butter, I want to take up ceramics again and learn how to hike harder trails, photograph more, complain less and own some good but cute boots. ;) You are an inspiration!
And I can only imagine what it looks like once it snows ❄️

What a beautiful area you live in. So envious of your place and how peaceful it all is for you. I would love to someday go and spend a few months living like you in the woods with the stillness and animal sounds. Just to relax and read and take lots of long walks. Thank you for sharing
My family and I drove to Lake George last week and the foliage is just so gorgeous! This is what makes me love the fall season. I wasn’t able to take photos of the scenery myself coz I was just enjoying the moment while it lasted 🧡🍂🍁

I so enjoyed this video, Autumn is my favourite season, with all the changing colours, the light the sky, the smells it's so beautiful. In Scotland soon it will be dark before 4pm and not light again till around 8am, it can be a long winter but I love it. I'm so grateful for each day I get to wake up to enjoy whatever comes along. Thank you once again for making this lovely video.

I feel the same way about Fall. It’s bittersweet. The colours are brilliant but I know that winter is approaching and even though the snow is beautiful I find that it’s a season of greys and browns and white. It seems to take forever for the spring! I’m planning on compensating for the lack of colour by putting up lots of Christmas lights and decorations! I love your videos! They’re awesome.

It was blowing a hoolie here in Edmonton, Canada and all the trees seem to have dropped their leaves over night. So lovely seeing your corner of the world, it’s completely beautiful.

Thanks for creating a video that will help the rest of the world know there's more to New York state than New York City. I have nothing against NYC, but it gets annoying that people think a 481 sq mile area represents the entire 54.5k sq mile state.

Enjoying the fall too. I live four hours away from you. The cold is a challenge, but it is a time of inner work. The lady bugs have moved in with me. The music you choose fits fall beautifully.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experience. It's gotten here in the high 20s at night in the smokies and many of the leaves in the trees around my home have fallen but still surrounded by evergreens; the ground in the back has become a blanket of colors.

Having grown up in the Catskills, I hate it when New York is described all skyscrapers and crowds of people. Crime, bad politicians, (many places have them in the US). My great, great, great granddaddy came from Scotland in the early 1800's and quickly moved from NYC to upstate and prospered creating a farm. The foundations are still there on a remote road no one hardly ever drives on. Deep in the mountains along a brook named after him.

Watching on Nov 4th. The change seemed to come quickly. I love the colours of the fallen leaves on the ground and the sound of them crunching beneath your feet. I don't think it's possible to take a terrible photo in the fall - everywhere is so pretty...love your dream - sounds so beautiful....one of my most favorite memories was going with a group of friends, all of us in our early 20's and skating on a farmer's frozen pond in the Ottawa Valley. One of our friends made Borscht and homemade bread. We shared a bottle of Chianti in the large, Canadian Log Beam home. "This is what I want." I said to myself, feeling so warm, cozy and content with the couples that had joined us. We spent the rest of the afternoon skating on the frozen pond until sunset. The dream of living rural did come true but not yet that of the Log Beam home. Although, I do have a close friend who lives in a 100 year old cabin that overlooks a Beaver Pond and I feel very much 'at home' when I visit. Loved the shots along the Delaware River also. You standing in the woods with the falling leaves was so beautiful.Etheral. I read somewhere that the falling leaves are prayers of our ancestors praying for us from heaven. I love your videos. Thank you for filming these, narrating, editing and uploading...they feed and nourish my soul that lift my spirits. Missing my island home, hoping to move back home in December. New York is one of the few states I haven’t visited. Seeing this video makes me want to take a trip cross country again. I live in Oregon, very close the Columbia River Gorge, where there are lots of stunning sights & waterfalls. I thought it didn’t get much prettier than this area, but your footage has made me realize that the United States has many beautiful areas & they all are special to those who live there. Wow, your videos are always beautiful but the video footage of the woods and water in this one is just stunning! Love the style of your cottage too and Charlie is just adorable. I have similar mixed feelings about Fall too, the leaves are beautiful but it's sad to see all of the plants die. And yeah, the bare trees and the bleak sky of winter can be hard to take, but the new-fallen snow is lovely and bright, and then there's Spring. Anyway, lovely work and I enjoy your channel so much.

So so beautiful. We are in spring here in South Africa and its been a pretty spectacular one where I live in a tiny cottage on a farm in the Eastern Cape. The fields are lush and green and the wild flowers are just huge carpets of colour as far as you can see. I am so blessed to live where I do - as are you, it is absolutely beautiful there. Thank you for those stunning impressions (despite not being prepared). No, we don’t have such a colourful fall here in Ireland, at least not in the Southwest where I live. Neither do we have temperatures around 30 very often (just occasionally, more like for 1-2 hours for just a few nights). We had some very windy days recently, but most trees are still greenish, as the temperatures are still moderate. Yesterday after walking the dog I came back sweating despite my rather very thin jacket (more like a cardigan). No, it’s not my fav season, but knowing that Mother Nature needs her resting time is fine for me. All the best for the cold spell!

I love your video posts! They are so heartwarming. I always thought that I was the only one who mourned the leaves falling off the trees. I suffer from seasonal affect disorder and I am trying to find ways to except change. I always struggle with change however I am doing my best to work on it.
Such a beautiful video or the autumn season, we too are enjoying a autumn season her in the UK. We live in Cornwall ,in a beautiful little harbour with only 3 cottages , no street light so perfect fo seeing the gorgeous stars at night. Luckily we don’t get very bad weather here as we are very protected but the fabulous tall trees around us . So pleased your making all these memories in your beautiful little cottage and sharing it all with us . Take care of yourself and little Charlie he’s adorable ❤
