Rachel, good morning, thank you for another great reaction. Lovebites "Swansong" is probably my favorite of all their songs, pre-Fami. Miyako starts the show with the Chopin Revolutionary Etude, but most people don't realize, there's NO sheet music, she plays that entire complicated piece from memory! THAT'S TALENT!
Haruna doesn't do big flashy solos but listen to what she is doing on this song. She is playing variations everywhere. This whole song is like a solo for her.
I agree, so many people wish Haruna would have a solo in the song and as you said if you just listen to drumming alone through the song, it's a solo in itself. It's already amazing how she's able to go at that pace throughout most if not all their songs. Haruna is crazy amazing !!!!
And that is why I always say they have developed their own genre of Metal. I call it "Class Metal". Yhey are the only ones in that Genre at the moment. But it will grow.
@@785boats totally agree. It bugs me when people try to pigeonhole them. I also comment regularly that they are their own genre. On a lighter note, if their genre grows, it should be named after them!

I'm a punk rocker and agree with you. From Asia there's a lot of good band: Lovebites and also for me Hanabie, Trident, Bray Me, Voice of Baceprot (all female band).
Thank you for jumping on this so quickly! Congratulations, you just found the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their first five years of existence, they put themselves on par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. They recently went on a year-and-a half hiatus while they searched for a new bassist. They announced the new bassist in October 2022 (see below) and dropped their first new song on December 22. Their new album, “Judgement Day”, was released two months later. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and founder of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the great European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other groups. The four of them then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she was also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed a little more than half of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics and is also getting involved in composing. In mid-2021, Miho left the band she had founded, for personal reasons. They went on hiatus while they searched for a new bassist, and during that time, two of them had babies, even as the band were writing and rehearsing their new album. They recently announced the new bassist, Fami, who is a young phenom and herself a composer and multi-instrumentalist. Their first song with Fami is “Judgement Day” ua-cam.com/video/m3uGjp-P7DI/v-deo.html The instrumentalists studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance was that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like crazy). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Re: "Swan Song": For your viewers: Chopin (pronounced Show-pan) was a Polish-born Romantic-era (1800’s) classical composer and piano virtuoso who lived most of his life in France. He is considered one of the great classical composers, specializing in highly technical works for piano. Miyako, who composes a lot of Lovebites’ music, is a professional-level concert pianist, and was originally going to make classical music her career. When she was 18, she picked up a guitar, and is now (quite obviously) an elite-level guitarist. She particularly likes the Romantic Era classical composers like Debussy, Dvořák and Chopin, as well as the Russian romantic composer Rachmaninoff. She composed “Swan Song” using elements of the New World Symphony (Dvořák) and Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor). For this performance, she actually played the Etude as a prelude, but it’s not normally included in their shows. Here are more clips you should check out: “Set the World on Fire” ua-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/v-deo.html from their 2021 concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”. “Don’t Bite the Dust” ua-cam.com/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/v-deo.html, from the same concert; "Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: ua-cam.com/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/v-deo.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope. Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: ua-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/v-deo.html; Perhaps their greatest masterpiece, a showcase of multi-instrumental virtuosity and even classical dance “A Frozen Serenade” ua-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/v-deo.html; And their most reacted-to video, “Holy War”: ua-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/v-deo.html For a thrasher with heavy Slayer and Metallica vibes, “Break the Wall” ua-cam.com/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/v-deo.html includes two gorgeous and completely contrasting solos by M&M. For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” ua-cam.com/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/v-deo.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both) While you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular: "Shadowmaker" ua-cam.com/video/Brmoln5Gxus/v-deo.html This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world "When Destinies Align" ua-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/v-deo.html "Glory to the World" ua-cam.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/v-deo.html "Winds of Transylvania" ua-cam.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/v-deo.html. Finally, the audio tracks of some of the new album are up on youtube, and worth checking out. The band clearly came out swinging and wanted to make a statement. Every song on the album is a showcase of their incredible talent and songwriting capabilities. “Stand and Deliver” is a thrasher with a fun video of them in the studio. “Soldier Stands Solitarily”, the final song on the album, is being touted by some as the best thing they’ve done so far-I encourage you to see and decide for yourself! You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!
congrats, rachel. you´ve just discovered one of the probably best metal bands in the world. stick with them. the lovebites rabbit hole is deep and very rewarding. in their backcatalogue of around 60 songs you won´t find a single filler, stale or mediocre one. thanks for the fine reaction.
The Chopin piece performed by Miyako (guitar/keyboard) as the intro is "Etude OP10, No12", known as "Revolution Etude" In 1831, an uprising of some officers and civilians against the Polish government under the de facto control of the Russian Empire, dubbed the "November Revolution", failed due to the direct intervention of Russian forces. Chopin is informed of this news during his travels. he lost his place to return to. When the Russian army invaded Warsaw, Chopin's agents released "Etude OP10, No.12" in Paris. People called it a "revolutionary etude" because of the agent's exaggerated promotion of the song. Miyako composed "SwanSong" with reference to this "revolutionary etude" and Dvorak's "New World Symphony". Former ballerina Asami (vocals) wrote a poem inspired by Norse mythology and "Swan Lake" based on the historical background of "Revolutionary Etude". "SwanSong" is a requiem dedicated to the warriors who fought to reclaim fatherland, a masterpiece that only LOVEBITES can complete. LB's songs will give you new discoveries and surprises for each song.
The singer Asami, also has in her past had dance training. She is doing a lot of the upper body movements from Swan Lake as she is walking around the stage between vocals.
You have just PEEKED in to the keyhole of LOVEBITES treasure chest of songs, been a fan for 4 years now and have yet not heard a bad song ( ~ 60 ish). Love from Sweden.
Welcome to lovebites, thank you for doing this reaction to lovebites, good choice with this song, it's a masterpiece for me,and congrats on 10k sub😂❤, LOVEBITES ROCK
The "redheaded lady" is the band's co-founder Rosanna Miho, one of my favorite people in Japanese rock. She has a quality that draws your attention back to her repeatedly and leaves you with the clear impression that there is much more to her persona than is immediately evident. She left the band, to pursue other musical paths, to be replaced by the arresting Fami. With all due respect to Fami -- who deserves a boat-load of it -- I miss Miho.
Miho and Fami have different styles. Miho is a finger picker and have a fast heavy steady beat, very tasty and very metal. Fami is a more technical player and do several ways of playing, with lots of finger an double thumb slapping. She is actually very, very good. But she was not a heavy metal base player and, as far as I have heard, have been working hard to acquire that skills. And the proof is in the pudding - look at "Judgement day" and "Stand up and deliver", I think she have done her homework well.
@@rolandkarlsson7072 I do not disagree with any point that you made. However, I see your comment as being complementary to mine, not corrective. In this case, the reactor is apparently a Lovebites neophyte. All that I was attempting to do in my comments was to identify the band member that she referred to as "the redheaded lady", and to let her know that another talented player had taken over that person's role in the group.
Excellent perceptive review and observations on musical piece that combines classical, operatic vocals with ballet vibe to a heavy metal genre. Good starting point on the huge rabbit hole of musical selections that is in Lovebites over 60 song discography. I will leave others for more info on this fabulous group of stunningly beautiful talented ladies.
The redhead band member is the bassist, Miho, cofounder of the band along with Haruna, the drummer. She's a natural headbanger, but more chill in this song. She'll be headbanging away in their usual stuff, which is power/thrash metal. You night enjoy "Thunder Vengeance" live from Zepp (this show's opener). Miho wrote it, and she's up singing her heart out in parts of it (without a mic), singing along with it. Haruna also has a small drum solo in it (more of a fill, really). ua-cam.com/video/yWE7PqCpGi4/v-deo.html That song is a banger. Less range from Asami, the vocalist, but her vocal style and stage presence is awesome. It's good to see one like this because typically they are a lot more active on stage. You're very much right that they each have their own sort of energy and presence on stage, so I hope you check out some more of them. I'm subscribed so I won't miss it (but I have watched some of your other reactions). In Thunder Vengeance, you'll see the wolves in the light show. That's one for each of them. These are the nicknames they gave each other: Miyako: "The Golden Touch" (guitarist stage left, piano), Haruna: "Little Big Engine" (drummer and co-founder), Miho: "Natural Born Headbanger" (bassist and co-founder), Midori: "Crazy Shredder" (guitarist stage right), Asami: "The One and Only Voice." It's especially fun to compare Miyako and Midori on stage, and I love it when Miho gets headbanging. Note, she left rhe ban late 2021 and the bassist is now Fami. Another one I might recommend would be "Empty Daydream" live from 2019 (has closed-captioned subtitles). I suggest this one because Asami has an R&B background as a backup singer. She didn't know what metal was until she joined Lovebites. In Empty Daydream you hear some other qualities of Asami's voice. You also get to hear the others chime in on an amazing vocal harmony, where you can clearly hear Miho's voice and Miyako (Miyako was the pianist and guitar stage left in this one). It's definitely a favorite of mine and worth checking out too! ua-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/v-deo.html
It took me a little while to wrap my head around Asami and her vocal style. Even now after listening to them for three years, buying all of their releases that are still in print, and getting a LOVEBITES shirt, her voice still sometimes catches me off guard. She’s a still a great singer, a charismatic and charming front person, a fantastic writer, and a beautiful woman, but that uniqueness still takes back aback every now and then.
Time to look at "Stand up and deliver". There all the ladies ar singing and chanting. And Asami is the icing on the cake. I am certain you will like it.
Lovebites is the best new metal band on the planet right now. Asami (singer) was asked by a French metal mag why they wore white dresses. She said, we are girls we don't want to dress like boys, also we are all small and it's easier to see us on stage. Asami and Haruna (drums) are the smallest at 4' 9", Midori (blond guitarist) is 4' 10", Miho (bass, no longer with the band) is 4' 11" and Miyako (guitar, piano) is the tallest at 5' 2". Miho left the band amicably after her father passed away and needed to take a brake, she is doing other projects now. Asami was a R&B singer (even studied in the US) and had not done any rock or metal singing until she joined the band, she is also the main lyricist. Miyako studied concert piano since she was 3 and only picked up the guitar in high school, she is also the main song writer. Haruna formed Lovebites with Miho after the two had left their previous band Destrose when it went on hiatus in 2015. The band name comes from a Halestom song Lovebites (and so do I). Midori, besides being part of the best guitar duo in music, competes in fitness/bodybuilding competitions in Japan. When Miho left Lovebites held a world wide audition of a new bassist and recently welcomed Fami (you can find some of her solo recordings on UA-cam) into the band and recorded their newest album.
I can't believe I've gone 27 years on this Earth without hearing about or bumping into this band. This is out of this world phenomenal, straight to the playlists!! :D (glad I'm subscribed) Edit: they do all certainly have their own energy and almost like aura emiting from them!
This may be the first Lovebites reaction I've seen. I thought there was only a couple hundred people that listened to, or even knew of them in the US. They are truly talented and I wish more people knew about them.
Haruna never does drum solos. Her drumming is top class and she doesn't need to a solo to show off her skills! The other Chopin piece played by Miyako is his Ballade no.1.
I discovered these immensely talented ladies in November, and I've been enjoying them ever since. 'Holy War' from the same concert was my introduction to them. 'Thunder Vengeance' and 'Raise Some Hell' are also good choices from that concert. After a break, they recently released a new album this year, 'Judgement Day'. The bass player whose chill you were admiring did decide to leave the band, and they have a new bass player named Fami. The whole album is great, but the title track is a good starting point. If you liked the power metal, some other bands I can recommend include Frozen Crown(Italy), Angra(Brazil), Unleash the Archers(Vancouver, CA), Dragonforce(UK), Kamelot(USA), and one of my all time favorites, Blind Guardian(Germany).
Thanks for the reaction! "Etude Op.10, No.12" ( or "Revolutionary Etude") by the Great Polish composer Frederic Chopin, which was written in 1831 and is dedicated to the Polish patriots who raised an uprising (1830-1831) against the Russian Empire, whose troops occupied Poland. "Swan Song" ( lyrics - Asami / music - Miyako) from LOVEBITES third studio Album "Electric Pentagram" (2020). For many centuries (starting from Ancient Greece) there is a legend, according to which Swans, non-singing, "silent" birds, acquire a voice a few moments before death, and this dying singing of Swans is amazingly beautiful. "Etude" by F. Chopin and "Swan Song" are dedicated to the warriors who died in battle. Therefore, at the concert, "Etude" and "Swan Song" are played together. In an interview given after the release of the "Electric Pentagram" album, Asami (a former ballerina, studied classical ballet for about 16 years before becoming a singer) said that when she wrote the lyrics of the song, she was thinking about the famous ballet P.I. Tchaikovsky "Swan Lake" . During the performance of the song, Asami imitates the Swan (hand movements). And in the final part (piano Miyako), symbolizing the "death of the Swan", Asami depicts the dying Swan on stage. Because the camera at the end of the song is focused on Miyako playing the piano, Asami's "death of the Swan" was not captured on video. Asami added some Scandinavian mythology (Valhalla) to the lyrics. The attitudes towards death among the Japanese Samurais and the Scandinavian Vikings were very similar. For Samurais and Vikings, death in battle with weapons in their hands is a death worthy of a male warrior. Death in battle is better than death from old age in your bed. All Vikings dreamed of dying in battle because then they could go to Heaven, to Valhalla (the Hall of those killed in battle warriors) where they would meet God Odin and other Vikings who died in battles.
We can also admire the musical arranger talent of Miyako who, for the finale of the song, starting from Chopin's Etude, slips and ends on the finale of Dvorak's "New World Symphony"!
I can make the case that Lovebites are the most talented hard music band on the planet. I challenge anyone to name another metal band that could play this song.
Singer Asami didn't have it easy in the heavy metal world as an R&B singer in the beginning. Writing songs in a completely different language as a Japanese woman is not easy either. However, whoever overcomes many obstacles and solves problems with diligence and skill becomes stronger and more self-confident in the end. This is how the Asami grew which we now love and admire in 2023. These shots are from 2020, practically halfway from the founding of LOVEBITES 2016 to today. The bassist MIHO left this past year, but can be found playing w/ many other Japanese bands and artists at any given moment. New bassist FAMI can be found on their last couple MVs! Both MIHO and drummer HARUNA can be seen and heard on the older DESTROSE videos (a band that spawned many other female metal bands like MARY's BLOOD, NEMOPHILA, DISQUALIA, MARDELAS, and FATE GEAR!
I am Japanese. Thanks for paying your attention to the lyrics of this song. This song is reminiscent of the legendary hero of Japanese mythology, Yamato Takeru. He was the son of the Emperor of his time, but fought numerous enemies and finally died from wounds sustained in battle. However, it is said that his soul turned into a white bird (swan) and flew away to his beloved homeland, Yamato (the ancient name of Japan, or the Nara region). In Japan, a thin-skinned hero is sometimes likened to a white bird. This song reminded me of the assassinated former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. I don't know what the band members think, though.
Well, if you started to react to all-female bands (I hope this phrase won’t be needed in the future) I am expecting a The Warning reaction more and more. I really like your reactions and I’m sure this trio of 3 sisters will blow your mind. As a Lovebites, Nightwish and Epica fan, I am strongly suggesting to check The Warning out. ✌️🤘
Perhaps we should also mention that Lzzy Hale ( _of Halestorm_ ) was floored when she saw her first video by them, and last year brought them along on her summer and fall tours. She even had a customized Gibson Explorer guitar made for the guitarist that she handed over in the mid of a show.
Here is a short video showing Haruna drumming to Shadowmaker ua-cam.com/video/Lc-btOH9sps/v-deo.html By the way, her nickname from the band is The Little Big Engine" and she is 4'-9-1/2" tall. She rocks!!!
To get your wish for a drum solo granted, you will have to check out Lovebites' cover version of Helloween's song "Eagle Fly Free": ua-cam.com/video/To21HILZvYE/v-deo.html (it also features a short bass solo) Lovebites' own songs don't feature any drum solos, except for a very short one (4-5 seconds) in "Thunder Vengeance": ua-cam.com/video/yWE7PqCpGi4/v-deo.html (The drum solo in "Eagle Fly Free" is about 14 seconds long.)
Lovebites are always great - as are band-maid and babymetal which I see you've also already heard of. Since you mention being on a journey of musical discovery, fancy some mongolian music? I can recommend The HU - The Great Chinggis Khaan :)
If you want other "beautiful" songs by Lovebites, try "Epilogue" and "Frozen Serenade", two of the best metal ballads ever written. Here are some versions with lyrics: ua-cam.com/video/JIAJYBuuKGM/v-deo.html&ab_channel=Okku ua-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/v-deo.html&ab_channel=HarryVethkovMaffiosov But I think you should also have a look at some of their heavier songs as well - they are all awesome.
Drummer Haruna has amazing skills, but she has the humility to not think about doing anything that stands out. It seems that he thinks that "my only role is to completely devote myself to the rhythm part".
New subscriber and fellow Canadian here! Lovebites kick ass! I love this band. I love your reactions and your musical discovery. Please check out Leprous - Castaway Angels. The singer, Einar Solberg, has an incredible voice that you simply MUST hear. Cheers!

Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981).
As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band."
Re: "Swan Song": For your viewers: Chopin (pronounced Show-pan) was a Polish-born Romantic-era (1800’s) classical composer and piano virtuoso who lived most of his life in France.
Here are more clips you should check out:
“Set the World on Fire” ua-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/v-deo.html from their 2021 concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”.
“Don’t Bite the Dust” ua-cam.com/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/v-deo.html, from the same concert;
"Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: ua-cam.com/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/v-deo.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope.
Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: ua-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/v-deo.html;
Perhaps their greatest masterpiece, a showcase of multi-instrumental virtuosity and even classical dance “A Frozen Serenade” ua-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/v-deo.html;
And their most reacted-to video, “Holy War”: ua-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/v-deo.html
For a thrasher with heavy Slayer and Metallica vibes, “Break the Wall” ua-cam.com/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/v-deo.html includes two gorgeous and completely contrasting solos by M&M.
For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” ua-cam.com/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/v-deo.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both)
While you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular:
"Shadowmaker" ua-cam.com/video/Brmoln5Gxus/v-deo.html
This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world
"When Destinies Align" ua-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/v-deo.html
"Glory to the World" ua-cam.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/v-deo.html
"Winds of Transylvania" ua-cam.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/v-deo.html.
The Chopin piece performed by Miyako (guitar/keyboard) as the intro is "Etude OP10, No12", known as "Revolution Etude"
In 1831, an uprising of some officers and civilians against the Polish government under the de facto control of the Russian Empire, dubbed the "November Revolution", failed due to the direct intervention of Russian forces.
@@stevegee218 Asami began classical ballet at the age of 2. And for about 16 years she devoted ballet
One of the most technically talent band in existence today.
My Lovebites 🏴 🐺 🤘
You have just PEEKED in to the keyhole of LOVEBITES treasure chest of songs, been a fan for 4 years now and have yet not heard a bad song ( ~ 60 ish). Love from Sweden.
Best métal band ever and best twin guitars ever
Welcome to lovebites, thank you for doing this reaction to lovebites, good choice with this song, it's a masterpiece for me,and congrats on 10k sub😂❤, LOVEBITES ROCK
I discovered Lovebites a little over a year ago. I was blown away by their talent and I'm an 80's metal head
Many songs by Lovebites to explore.
Heavy Metal was never a boring Music ! For me as a Metalhead ( 55 years old ) is that normal Music
The song that started my Lovebites journey, and thus my whole Japanese Metal journey! What an amazing trip it's been!
A bacon sarnie, a cuppa, and Lovebites. The perfect lunch break. 🤘🐺
@@bruceveary1758 - yes, it was complementary and maybe also conversational. No disagreement.
Great intro to Lovebites . Your jouney has just begun.
I second the recommendation for “Empty Daydream.”
LOVEBITES , the only band in the world that can make me cry (with joy) ❤🧡💚💙💜🐺
Lovebites music can be Moving to the point of tears
When Miho left Lovebites held a world wide audition of a new bassist and recently welcomed Fami (you can find some of her solo recordings on UA-cam) into the band and recorded their newest album.
next〜LOVEVITES live
frozen serenaed!
I can't believe I've gone 27 years on this Earth without hearing about or bumping into this band. This is out of this world phenomenal, straight to the playlists!! :D (glad I'm subscribed) Edit: they do all certainly have their own energy and almost like aura emiting from them!
LOVEBITES 🐺 INCREDIBLE
This may be the first Lovebites reaction I've seen. I thought there was only a couple hundred people that listened to, or even knew of them in the US. They are truly talented and I wish more people knew about them.
Amazing band ! Best metal nowadays!!
This song is the rabbit hole for me. Deep, sweet and beautiful hole. ✨🥰🤘
Wolfpack is here for LOVEBITES! 🤘🏼🐺🤘🏼
I've been a big LOVEbites fan for 3 years and fans never get enough of it so : S u g g e s t i o n s for next reaction V i d e o 's:

They have their own personality that they give off in their playing.😊
Here for my daily Lovebites fix 🐺
The bassist MIHO left this past year, but can be found playing w/ many other Japanese bands and artists at any given moment. New bassist FAMI can be found on their last couple MVs!
Both MIHO and drummer HARUNA can be seen and heard on the older DESTROSE videos (a band that spawned many other female metal bands like MARY's BLOOD, NEMOPHILA, DISQUALIA, MARDELAS, and FATE GEAR!
Next Lovebites 🤘🐺🔥 Frozen serenade
Great reaction Rachel!
IFf U didn't know, now U know🤟🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺❣
The most beautiful metal ever❤
This is LOVEBITES. This band has no Peer.
Masterpiece.
Nice first reaction to Lovebites... I hope not also the last. Please more Lovebites...
LOVEBITES is ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥Greetings from Argentina
LOVEBITESを取り上げて頂きありがとうございました😉👍
You want a solo from the drummer? Yeah - me to. But actually - she is playing a solo through whole the song. But, I know what you mean.
Being a vocalist you should check out "Empty Daydream" by them, my personal favorite.
I agree, the Warning are in my top 5 bands along Lovebites and Nightwish. All very different, but still fit perfect together in some way …
*The Warning!*
Thunder vengeance the drummer has a solo
freakin loved that a ton. unbelievable musical content. so glad I came across this video. 🔥🔥🔥
Here is a short video showing Haruna drumming to Shadowmaker ua-cam.com/video/Lc-btOH9sps/v-deo.html By the way, her nickname from the band is The Little Big Engine" and she is 4'-9-1/2" tall. She rocks!!!
Holy War and Swan Song should have readily findable live versions. Bravehearted, and Above the Black Sea, too.
one of my favorite songs by LoveBites is Empty Daydream. Also Spellbound is a great one to react to it
🔥LOVEBITES🐺PERFECTION🔥Great reaction👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
To get your wish for a drum solo granted, you will have to check out Lovebites' cover version of Helloween's song "Eagle Fly Free": ua-cam.com/video/To21HILZvYE/v-deo.html (it also features a short bass solo) Lovebites' own songs don't feature any drum solos, except for a very short one (4-5 seconds) in "Thunder Vengeance": ua-cam.com/video/yWE7PqCpGi4/v-deo.html (The drum solo in "Eagle Fly Free" is about 14 seconds long.)
the singer asami used to be an r and b singer if that helps out .
For a solo from the drummer check out their cover of Helloween's Eagle Fly Free (Helloween Cover) ua-cam.com/video/To21HILZvYE/v-deo.html
Ii love LOVEBITES ...WOW I LOVE CHOPIN AS WELL
The only masterpiece who could be a rival from this masterpiece is : A Frozen Serenade live from 2021 concert. Pls check this out.
In my opinion, "A Frozen Serenade" is one of the best metal songs ever written.
Yeah thats miho rosanna the redhair
Lovebites are always great - as are band-maid and babymetal which I see you've also already heard of. Since you mention being on a journey of musical discovery, fancy some mongolian music? I can recommend The HU - The Great Chinggis Khaan :)
yessss. I have my place for HELLFEST in france 28th of June. LOVEBITES will be there
Stunningly talented band. That phrase is often overused. This is not one of those times.
If you like LoveBites, you should check out Galneryus. They're a male symphonic power metal band from Japan.
Thanks for the reaction. Pick any song from them and they will blow you away. I'd like to suggest M/V for "When Destinies Align". So awesome!!!!!!!!!!
If you want other "beautiful" songs by Lovebites, try "Epilogue" and "Frozen Serenade", two of the best metal ballads ever written. Here are some versions with lyrics:
ua-cam.com/video/JIAJYBuuKGM/v-deo.html&ab_channel=Okku
ua-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/v-deo.html&ab_channel=HarryVethkovMaffiosov
But I think you should also have a look at some of their heavier songs as well - they are all awesome.
Cheers!
