A very Wrighteous reaction J! THANK YOU for coming back to them so quickly, we all know you're inundated with requests! Don't think there's a better reaction than when a fellow musician does it and can explain (and appreciate) the intricacies that an everyday reactor (no disrespect) may not pick up. I've been listening to them non-stop for 8mos now and just don't know what else to say regarding their talent. Other than, they are truly lightning in a bottle, ty to YT's algorithm for putting them in my feed 8mos ago, and I'm so thankful to be around to hear Lovebites in their prime. It doesn't get any better than this for me. You are 2 for 2 with reactions, when you come back, hope you'll go with A Frozen Serenade live ua-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/v-deo.html...another one for the playlist and most memorable songs list. Another MASTERPIECE. 🤘🐺 Best of luck on your LA headlining tour!! Hopefully you'll make it to the East Coast someday (e.g., Boston House of Blues). 😀

Miyako is the piano/guitarist. Certified StarWars Freak and plays piano and guitar like a Well Seasoned Theory Professor of the highest order. They couldnt write a dud if they tried. Their professionalism and pride wont allow it. Thank You Japan.
Great analysis and reaction to one of the best heavy metal band existing on planet earth 🌏 now. Thanks 🤘 Highly recommend some thrasier songs from them now ....Break the Wall, Hammer of Wrath, Set the World on Fire or you prefer a metal ballad...Epilogue. Glory to Lovebites 🤘 🐺 🔥
Asami - the vocalist... before joining LOVEBITES.. she is a backing vocal and sing R&B.. Soul and Jazz.. she also a ballerina... Miyako - the pianist and guitarist.. playing piano when she was 3 years old... she is a concert level pianist.. When she was 18.. she's start playing a guitar and you know what.. she is self taught learning!!!

I’ve been consumed by Lovebites for just over two years. During that time I gradually faded out any and all other music. I listen to Lovebites. Period. Yet it doesn’t matter how many times I watch this performance I still gaze in absolute awe. The whole band are virtuoso’s (wait until you see Fami, the recently announced new bassist…20 years old.) But Miyako is the most talented member, and to say so is not a slight on any other member of the band. In a single concert she will play electric and acoustic guitars, baby grand piano, synth, keytar and sing back up to Asami in certain songs, often alone. I read that she hated the Roland. Check the 2021 “Heavy Metal Never Dies” version (without Chopin, but with a four month pregnant Miyako) where she uses a “real” piano. I know you appreciated it, but didn’t pause, but after saying how tight the band is, the split second pause before the last chorus of “floating lotus” barely ever gets a mention. I’m looking forward to seeing more Lovebites reactions from you because being very frank, they’re a cut above 90% of the rest. You know your topic and that is immensely helpful to someone as musically retarded as me (except for my taste!).
I found Wagakki Band around the same time I found Lovebites. Both are on rotation over here constantly. I thought Miyako was okay with the Roland digital piano. But yeah, at her level, she belongs on a Bosendorfer, Steinway, or Fazioli.
LOVEBITES - Swan Song lyrics: If this was the last day you could live on this earth Would you still go on, accusing someone for today It’s better to fail than not do anything at all It is not the length, but depth of life that counts Oh brave soldier Oh gallant warrior Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla Believe what’s in your soul For death will come to all You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven Floating lotus You are so graceful Saintly and glorious Till the end of time Floating lotus You are so beautiful Sing me your sweet song The legend of the swan If you’ve never hoped, you’ve never been though despair Ignorance is bliss, it’s easier to not care You might think it’s meaningless to sacrifice a life Sometimes the life of one can save so many more Oh brave soldier Oh gallant warrior Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla Believe what’s in your soul For death will come to all You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven Floating lotus You are so graceful Saintly and glorious Till the end of time Floating lotus You are so beautiful Sing me your sweet song The legend of the swan SOLO: miyako / both Floating lotus You are so graceful Saintly and glorious Till the end of time Floating lotus You are so beautiful Sing me your sweet song The legend of the swan SOLO: midori ----- lyrics: asami music: miyako arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami) from Electric Pentagram 2020
Music & Arrangement by Miyako, piano/guitar; Lyrics by Asami, vocals. Miyako began piano at 3yo, picked up the guitar a 17/18 to play Rock/Metal. No lessons, Self taught!!! Haruna is on drums, legend says she nuclear powered. She goes at this pace for the entire concert. Came out of retirement to help found the band. As to the Rented Roland, Miyako doesn't like it. It's electronic and has plastic keys neither of which does she like. Her home piano is a grand Yamaha, birthday present from her parents. Midori (blond) took up the guitar seriously at 20yo after leaving pharmacy school. They now have a New Bassist, Fami. Checkout her video "Alien Alien" on her YT channel before reacting to "Judgement Day". Since you are in LA, in March Nemophila will be performing at the Echoplex, Rock/Metal band form Japan, all female!!!
Since Swan Song live video was dropped in 2020, so many people have reacted it. But YOU are the first person who anticipated her piano coming again in the outro. It is always fun for lovebites fans like me to watch reactors pleasantly taken a back, but watching your anticipation fulfilled is also very pleasing. Thanks a lot.
I always appreciate when real musicians react to Lovebites. Yes, these women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile exceptional musicians. Their main influences are Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Dokken, Judas Priest, Angra, Yngwee Malmsteen, and even Gary Moore, but they have been developing their unique style. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined Lovebites. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years. I discovered this band about three years ago and I’m still in awe. Some people say that they’re angels that came to planet earth in order to save metal. My next recommendations are “Thunder vengeance”, “Shadowmaker”, “The Awakening/Hammer of wrath”, “Break the wall”, “Glory to the world”, “Edge of the world”, “Empty daydream”, “Epilogue”. All live. Thanks so much for spreading the word, because they deserve more recognition.
Their song Edge Of The World (Five Of A Kind live) also has some piano, and a little of many things too. It’s probably my favorite song from them. You must check it out with the lyrics. You will not be disappointed.
thanks for coming back to lovebites and your great expertly reaction. also for your appreciation of them. this band is not manufactured. but they looked for a voice like asamis. and when she came to the auditioning, she never had heard or sung metal before. and now look at her, especially their latest track "dissonance", lyrics asami, music asami & mao: ua-cam.com/video/jhbPLYWyVvI/v-deo.html (if you would listen to their music in stereo, your experience would even be better, cause they put a lot of effort to get the best mixing and mastering.)
Ya, they cover it with a baby grand cover for certain performances. I’ve got one from them also! The keyboards feel a touch different but it’s the closest to a real weighted piano than anything else for sure! That kind of a piece on a keyboard would be highly difficult and she crushed it.
In addition to all the other Lovebites songs the Wolfpack has recommended here, I suggest another which, personally, is my favorite Lovebites song - Dystopia Symphony. Our genius, Miyako (guitar/piano), composed and arranged this beautiful piece. This song is a tribute to Beethoven and she seamlessly integrated the maestro's Moonlight Sonata and Sonata Pathétique into the track. Unfortunately there's no MV or LIVE version but only an audio version of this song on YT. How many rock or metal bands can you name that can incorporate sophisticated classical elements into their music ? In the history of music, I can't think of too many. And this is one of the reasons why this band is so special
Great stuff WJ, good to hear from a musician's perspective. Another epic with surprises is "Frozen Serenade" live and a fun rocker from them , "Raise Some Hell" . Welcome to their fan club , The Wolf Pack. cheers from Australian fans. - Paul Read
Excellent reaction, first time listening, you picked up on things so many reactors miss. There is something so captivating about Lovebites that even if it's not your 'go to metal genre' you love them and are awestruck
Glad you enjoyed this song, the great thing about Lovebites is the variety of the music classical rock ballads all the way to a moshpit, these ladies just write stunning songs & music what's not to enjoy Regards Wolfpack 🐺 UK 🤘🎸🥁🎹🎶🔥
In the background you can hear another Chopin etude: Ocean recorded by Miyako and then mixed at the end with Symphony from Another World (Dvorak). Congratulations for the musical competence and if you want deepen watch: "Empty day dream" with Rachmaninov intro.
Love your reaction. Your point about Haruna is spot on. She plays with so much energy and has such great stamina. When they play live, they connect her kit to the grid and sell power to the electric company. They make so much money that way. Well, I made that up, but it's an idea they could try. "Go back to the Roland." Yup. You called it. On the studio record they do not have the Chopin Piano Etude Op10 No 12 on it. The piano piece at the end is. They added the Etude to the concert. That's what is cool about Lovebites, they throw in some extras like that in their live performances. Can't wait to see them live in person. From what I see and hear, they are great in studio but perhaps even better live. These women are super talented multi-instrumentalist. Asami's Jazz background probably included some operatic elements to her lessons. She also took ballet from a very early age.
Great reaction! I was waiting for another from Lovebites! Greatest metal band in the world. Good call on coming back to the Roland in the end. Such an amazing song. I can't wait for more! I suggest, in no particular order, "Break the Wall" live from Zepp 2020, "Thunder Vengeance" live from Zepp 2020, "Set the World on Fire" live from 2021 [all of these are bangers, like Holy War was], "Frozen Serenade" live (this has similarities to Swan Song), and then two of the "E " songs: "Edge of the World" and "Empty Daydream," the latter of which is a bit different in that you get some vocal harmonies and it is almost like an 80s rock song. Literally anything you choose from them is amazing though. Live is always better, but they have a video out from their newest album that doesn't have a live performance yet.
I saw in some comments that Asami had no opera training. In fact she is influenced by opera. She has stated this song's final chorus was all recorded by her with operatic vocals.
Yes, imagine that. She 'likes' opera, she sings, and then she just decides to add it to her vocal repertoire. And all with 16 years of formal . . Ballet training. My God, she is Such a F-ing Talent.
I hope there will be a song or two with the piano on the new album. Midori and Miyako play together in perfection. But with Miyako on the piano, LOVEBITES have a big addition to their musicianship. This is world class.
I love piano. I used to play classical piano when I was younger l quit about 14yrs old. That is one of my big regrets of life. Now I buy all classical music in piano.
Your next band has to be Band-Maid. They're not metal, but more hard rock. Great musicians and performers. Domination official Live video is a good intro. But for my money "From Now On" and "Blooming" are my go to songs.
Love how you made the call for Miyako to go back to the Roland. You obviously felt it. Lovebites is simply their own genre of metal. The further down the rabbit hole you go, you will be introduced to complex and amazing compositions played at virtuoso levels.
If you love J-Rock, be sure to check out BAND-MAID - their recent song From Now On is a treat and I can't get enough of it (it's an instrumental too). Otherwise, Domination (live) is also a great introduction to the band. If you want to go down the J-Metal rabbit hole, I recommend BABYMETAL - my favorite band by far. They break the genres' barriers and have such a unique sound. And the lead singer (Su-metal) has an absolutely amazing voice. I'd personally recommend any of their most recent songs they've released, because their music has matured, just as their voices did, and they're even more impressive than they used to be at a younger age.
You really are going to have a lot of fun going down the Lovebites rabbit hole. (well, jrock/jmetal rabbit hole in general) Lovebites is certainly a lot of Heavy Metal/Thrash, but they really do have a wide range of capabilities so they have just about any type of song you could think of. This one being somewhat of an example implementing Miyako's wonderful piano abilities. One suggestion for a Lovebites song to potentially react to soon would be their song Break The Wall. Admittedly, i'm very biased as it is one of my favorite songs, but also it has an interesting solo section to it that I always like to see what other musicians think of it. Thanks again for reacting to them. Even in just 2 songs so far, i've really enjoyed hearing your opinions/perspective on Lovebites, coming from a musicians viewpoint is fun to hear.
a great reaction to this real masterpiece. and as a pro musician you can even better appreciate all the works, that stands behind such a performance. thank you.
Thank you so much for another video with Lovebites! This reaction and review is amazing! Lovebites is a magnificent band, my favorite band of all time! After this video, I checked your band, City Of Sound. Really liked, awesome music, wonderful vocals! Greetings from Japan 🤘
There is a history of metal/rock bands having a classically trained musician amongst them. Lovebites with Miyako, is proof if it is required, to how it makes the quality of the song composition stand out. Great that more people in the west are discovering Lovebites. You will see in the comments there is a wealth of other Japanese all female bands. A word of advice though, best not to compare one with another. You can have a preference for one over the other but comparisons tend to be frowned upon. 😀
Epic masterpiece.. piece of art by Lovebites..salute & respect..thanks bro for noticing their whole talent.👍👍🤘🤘 Haruna, the 'little big engine' drummer.
There are three types of vibrato. 【Vibrato using the chin (mouth)】Easy 【Vibrato using the throat】Easy 【Vibrato using the diaphragm】Difficult Vibrato using the diaphragm requires training. Asami can evenly apply a natural vibrato using the diaphragm. Therefore, I believe you felt that Asami was trained as an opera singer. Asami was formerly an R&B and Soul singer.
I have no opera training whatsoever and I have to admit I am no singer at all. I tried to make a vibrato with the diaphragm. What? Very uncomfortable and without any control whatsoever. OK - I get it. It is difficult.
LOVEBITES, the band that blended the speed of dragon force, the trash of slayer, metallica, anthrax, the arrangements of iron maiden and judas priest on guitars, the classical music of the masters, the power metal of helloween, edguy, avantasia. The band that has everything. The voice, the guitars, the drums, bass, keys. 🤘
Great reaction. This is one of the reasons I listen to mostly Japanese music, it's more interesting and the musicians are (for the most part) top tier. For me, Lovebites is one of the best meal bands today and when I need something more hard rock I turn to Band-Maid, probably one of the best rock bands around with interesting and extremely complex composition (sometimes a little prog/metal/punk/jazz). Another Japanese all female metal band with a great singer is Nemophila.
For “Swan Song” Miyako combined elements of two of her favorite classics: Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude and Dvorak’s New World Symphony. Lyrics: Asami Music: Miyako Arrangement: Miyako/LoveBites ASAMI: Vocals, Piano The One and Only Voice! HARUNA: Drums The Little BIG ENGINE MIHO: Bass guitar, backing vocals The Natural Born Headbanger (Left the band in 2021) MIDORI: Guitars, backing vocals The Crazy Shredder Miyako: Guitars, Keyboards, Piano, Keytar, main composer and arranger, The Golden Touch New LoveBites bassist: Fami

Thank you for reacting so quickly . Last time, I enjoyed watching the video of your facial expressions as you reacted based on your prior knowledge, which was probably just a thumbnail image. BTW, I heard one other reactor who plays piano and gives lessons to say that Miyako's piano playing is beautiful and her left hand especially is a monster. 😂, lmao. Laughed so hard about her "Monster" hand
Miyako is a bit of a purist : she hate plastic piano keys - had the one's on her piano at home change to wooden - also a big Star Wars nerd 🤪. Greetings 🤘🇿🇦🔥🔥🔥🐺🤘ps: Frozen Serenade will blow you away . New album , Judgment Day - best Heavy Metal album this decade 🐺
On Tuesday at 3:00 AM (LA Time) there will be a livestream with the ladies in which the new album will be presented. At the same time a new music video will be released.
Awesome review!! Miyako tapped on a piano and kept tapping on a guitar, lol. The singer Asami does not have an operatic background but obviously got proper vocal training. She was trained as a ballerina as you can see her graceful body movements on stage. Now, you know they are a great power metal band, take a look at their different phase. A Frozen Serenade is a most beautiful progressive. Here it is, ua-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/v-deo.html. You'll love it. Enjoy!! Oh BTW, the motif of Swan Song is the symphony The New World by Dovolzark as you might have noticed.
@@75yado Yes I meant that and they spell like that very often because those letters are not regular and my key board doesn't have them. It is just like you don't have to spell 立松みどり to mean Midori Tatematsu or Seiji Ozawa for 小澤征爾. It is just that simple.
Wolfpack UK 🐺 here, I don't normally request a song I usually leave it to the pack🐺 but I feel you really need to treat yourself to Lovebites a Frozen Serenade I feel you will truly enjoy the live version it has everything good about music in it played & scored by extremely talented musicians 🤘😎🐺uk
Great reaction! Looking forward to some more from Lovebites. I'd say Frozen Serenade, if you want a song that has some qualities of this one, but its own surprises. Break the Wall (live from Zepp), if you'd like some thrash and an amazing breakdown. Thunder Vengeance, if you'd like a real banger and an amazing show opener. Lastly, Empty Daydream or Edge of the World. One of the "E" songs. Both showcase the piano but a little of Asami singing alone to start. The former has some amazing vocal harmonies. Empty Daydream reminds me of when we did the chat song too, as there are some really good lyrics and turns on the chorus in that song. Any of these, all live. Or anything else you'd like to do - it's all amazing!
That is not all that fair. With a savant you usually mean someone that has problems managing normal life, but do one thing extremely well. Usually that thing is also kind of weird, like the ability to remember everything you have seen, doing complex mathematics, whatever ... Yes, she is a bit awkward and super skilled at the same time. But I would rather see her as a very intelligent nerd. And a very attractive, shy and gentle woman.
Miyako is a classical trained piano player. she started playing at the age of 3. she thought herself guitar at the age of 18. never had guitar lessons. so you know. just some little information.
This one. The Live versions of Edge of the World and Frozen Serenade are just so beautiful and show off more of the incredible range this band is capable of.
In the background you can hear another classical Chopin etude: Ocean, that Miyako plays at the end mixed with The Symphony from New World (Dvorak). Thank you!
Thanks for the reaction! LOVEBITES : 🐺Miho - bass, backing vocals (in August 2021 she left the band). 🐺Haruna - drums. 🐺Midori - guitars, backing vocals. 🐺Miyako (Mi-Ya)- guitars, piano, keyboards, backing vocals. 🐺Asami - lead vocals, piano. 🐺Fami - bass (since October 2022). "Etude Op.10, No.12" ( or "Revolutionary Etude") by the Great Polish composer Frederic Chopin, which was written in 1831 and is dedicated to the Polish patriots who raised an uprising (1830-1831) against the Russian Empire, whose troops occupied Poland. "Swan Song" ( lyrics - Asami / music - Miyako) from LOVEBITES third studio Album "Electric Pentagram" (2020). For many centuries (starting from Ancient Greece) there is a legend, according to which swans, non-singing, "silent" birds, acquire a voice a few moments before death, and this dying singing of swans is amazingly beautiful. "Etude" by F. Chopin and "Swan Song" are dedicated to the warriors who died in battle. Therefore, at the concert, "Etude" and "Swan Song" are played together. In an interview given after the release of the "Electric Pentagram" album, Asami (a former ballerina, studied classical ballet for about 16 years before becoming a singer) said that when she wrote the lyrics of the song, she was thinking about the famous ballet P.I. Tchaikovsky "Swan Lake" . During the performance of the song, Asami imitates the Swan (hand movements). And in the final part (piano Miyako), symbolizing the death of the Swan, Asami depicts the dying Swan on stage. Because the camera at the end of the song is focused on Miyako playing the piano, Asami's "death of the Swan" was not captured on video. Asami added some Scandinavian mythology (Valhalla) to the lyrics.. The attitudes towards death among the Japanese Samurai and the Scandinavian Vikings were very similar. For Samurai and Vikings, death in battle with weapons in their hands is a death worthy of a male warrior. Death in battle is better than death from old age in your bed. All Vikings dreamed of dying in battle because then they could go to Heaven, to Valhalla (the Hall of those killed in battle) where they would meet God Odin and other Vikings who died in battles.
Lyrics by Asami, music by Miyako !! When Miyako was young, she took her birthday money that she had saved & bought herself a Yamaha Baby Grand. She has that piano to this day in her home studio & sometimes refers to it as " My best friend. " ❤️🎙🎸🎹🥁😎🤘P.S. Miyako composed & recorded 6 demos for the Electric Pentagram album. All six became songs, including Swan Song.

No, Asami the vocalist did not train as an opera singer. MIyako (guitar/piano) has studied and played classical piano for nearly thirty years (since the age of three) and before she picked up a guitar and taught herself to play she was headed for a career as a professional pianist. The piano is really her primary instrument. Midori, the blond guitarist started to learn to play the piano when she was only two years old buit gave when she went to university. However she dropped out at the age of twenty to attend one of Japan's premier music schools where to took up the guitar. Both guitarists played in metalcore bands before joining Lovebites.
I thought I saw something about the vocalist also studied ballet. It shows in her movements around the stage. Someone also said that Asami is also doing a bunch of the swan movements from swan lake on this song.
@@stevegee218 not to forget Asami was a R&B singer with Gospel thrown in! There has been a video or 3 of Asami singing in a nightclub over 10 years ago, it's worth a look to see where she came from!
@@stevegee218 having seen Swan Lake both live and recorded I recognised that Asami actually enacts the “dying swan” from almost the very end of the ballet, right down to the point that she sinks right to the floor.
11:45 your face looks like you took some time to fit the piano back uh. . .hahaha i was the same the first time i heard that song. . .absolutely beautiful
Flawless perfection especially LIVE defines these stunning musicians. Miyako who writes most of the music ( Asami/vocalist does a lot of the lyrics ) was train to be a classical pianist from age 3. She picked up a guitar at 18 and self taught. Midori the flash/shred co-lead also started on piano/organ and she gave up Dental school at 20 to enroll in a premier music academy . Vocalist Asami trained as a ballerina and was a backup R&B/Soul/Jazz singer, not sure she had any operatic training at all. Try Empty Daydream Live next to experience more Miyako on keyboard, guitar and backing vocals, the song really shows even more of the bands talent. Haruna on the kit maybe small at 4' 10" but she play hard like this for an entire show. I bet she could run a marathon with no sweat either. Welcome to the Wolfpack and the rabbit hole of J/Metal.
Thought I would drop a comment to get you to 200. Congrats on finding Lovebites and J-metal. I hope you were able to score a ticket to see them in September when they do their first dates in the U.S. Unfortunately, only four scheduled so far (Atlanta, Dallas, LA, SF) but who knows?

Other than, they are truly lightning in a bottle, ty to YT's algorithm for putting them in my feed 8mos ago, and I'm so thankful to be around to hear Lovebites in their prime. It doesn't get any better than this for me. You are 2 for 2 with reactions, when you come back, hope you'll go with A Frozen Serenade live ua-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/v-deo.html...another one for the playlist and most memorable songs list. Another MASTERPIECE. 🤘🐺
Best of luck on your LA headlining tour!! Hopefully you'll make it to the East Coast someday (e.g., Boston House of Blues). 😀

Next LoveBites song: “Break the Wall” Live ! 🎸🔥🤟
Behold the genius and power of Miyako! ❤
Haruna, the drummer, is not actually a human. She is a minature nuclear reactor who expends the energy created to slay drums. True story. 😂
LOVEBITES - Swan Song lyrics:
If this was the last day you could live on this earth
Would you still go on, accusing someone for today
It’s better to fail than not do anything at all
It is not the length, but depth of life that counts
Oh brave soldier
Oh gallant warrior
Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla
Believe what’s in your soul
For death will come to all
You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven
Floating lotus
You are so graceful
Saintly and glorious
Till the end of time
Floating lotus
You are so beautiful
Sing me your sweet song
The legend of the swan
If you’ve never hoped, you’ve never been though despair
Ignorance is bliss, it’s easier to not care
You might think it’s meaningless to sacrifice a life
Sometimes the life of one can save so many more
Oh brave soldier
Oh gallant warrior
Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla
Believe what’s in your soul
For death will come to all
You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven
Floating lotus
You are so graceful
Saintly and glorious
Till the end of time
Floating lotus
You are so beautiful
Sing me your sweet song
The legend of the swan
SOLO: miyako / both
Floating lotus
You are so graceful
Saintly and glorious
Till the end of time
Floating lotus
You are so beautiful
Sing me your sweet song
The legend of the swan
SOLO: midori
-----
lyrics: asami
music: miyako
arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami)
from Electric Pentagram 2020
Now please "Frozen serenade" and next all E-songs: "Epilog", Edge of the World", "Empty day dream".
Their song Edge Of The World (Five Of A Kind live) also has some piano, and a little of many things too. It’s probably my favorite song from them. You must check it out with the lyrics. You will not be disappointed.
Yes, just one of many masterpieces by these Metal Goddesses!
thanks for coming back to lovebites and your great expertly reaction. also for your appreciation of them. this band is not manufactured. but they looked for a voice like asamis. and when she came to the auditioning, she never had heard or sung metal before. and now look at her, especially their latest track "dissonance", lyrics asami, music asami & mao: ua-cam.com/video/jhbPLYWyVvI/v-deo.html
(if you would listen to their music in stereo, your experience would even be better, cause they put a lot of effort to get the best mixing and mastering.)
That Roland instrument is not a piano, but an electronic keyboard in the shape of a piano. Miyako said it was difficult to play.
Here for my daily Lovebites fix 🐺. So glad you came back for more.
Great stuff WJ, good to hear from a musician's perspective. Another epic with surprises is "Frozen Serenade" live and a fun rocker from them , "Raise Some Hell" . Welcome to their fan club , The Wolf Pack. cheers from Australian fans. - Paul Read
go for A Frozen Serenade , Masterpiece for me . thanks for your reaction .
Excellent reaction, first time listening, you picked up on things so many reactors miss. There is something so captivating about Lovebites that even if it's not your 'go to metal genre' you love them and are awestruck
Actually Asami the vocalist sang R&B before joining Lovebites.
Glad you enjoyed this song, the great thing about Lovebites is the variety of the music classical rock ballads all the way to a moshpit, these ladies just write stunning songs & music what's not to enjoy

These are the masters of time signature dynamics at work performing elite class metal.
In the background you can hear another Chopin etude: Ocean recorded by Miyako and then mixed at the end with Symphony from Another World (Dvorak). Congratulations for the musical competence and if you want deepen watch: "Empty day dream" with Rachmaninov intro.
THATS WHAT THAT WAS, I was trying to lean on to figure it out but admittedly couldn’t lol!
Make sure it's the live version and not the studio recording. The studio version doesn't include the Rachmaninov intro.
@@stephenlu7779 I Know it, sorry. Miyako add the classical intro only in the live version like Tokio 2019.
@@stephenlu7779 don’t worry I only do love performances when it comes to reaction/breakdowns!
Welcome back and thank you for doing this reaction to lovebites again, LOVEBITES ROCK
This is one of their many masterpieces.
Now I buy all classical music in piano.
great reaction i dig your input on the technical aspects of they're performance's 🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
LOVEBITES RULES!!!
Your next band has to be Band-Maid. They're not metal, but more hard rock. Great musicians and performers. Domination official Live video is a good intro. But for my money "From Now On" and "Blooming" are my go to songs.
Domination live is the best intro indeed.
They were here last year but only shows on the coast. I’m in Denver so I missed them
Love how you made the call for Miyako to go back to the Roland. You obviously felt it.
Lovebites is simply their own genre of metal. The further down the rabbit hole you go, you will be introduced to complex and amazing compositions played at virtuoso levels.
Want to see some Ballet watch Lovebites Frozen Serenade.
Time to "Judgement day" song from Lovebites. Thank you so much for great reaction
I call this performance Miyako Magic! 😉
🔥LOVEBITES🐺MASTERCLASS🔥Great reaction🤘🏻
Even in just 2 songs so far, i've really enjoyed hearing your opinions/perspective on Lovebites, coming from a musicians viewpoint is fun to hear.
a great reaction to this real masterpiece. and as a pro musician you can even better appreciate all the works, that stands behind such a performance. thank you.

After this video, I checked your band, City Of Sound. Really liked, awesome music, wonderful vocals!
Greetings from Japan 🤘
O thank you for supporting us! One of our first Japanese listeners!!!! ❤️💚💙 welcome to the Madness
【Vibrato using the chin (mouth)】Easy
【Vibrato using the throat】Easy
【Vibrato using the diaphragm】Difficult
Vibrato using the diaphragm requires training.
Asami can evenly apply a natural vibrato using the diaphragm.
Therefore, I believe you felt that Asami was trained as an opera singer.
Asami was formerly an R&B and Soul singer.
Yes very impressive
I have no opera training whatsoever and I have to admit I am no singer at all. I tried to make a vibrato with the diaphragm. What? Very uncomfortable and without any control whatsoever. OK - I get it. It is difficult.
I feel your reaction is sincere and intelligent.
No opera training, at least not that she's spoken of. Her training is in R&B and Soul, which does have some elements in common with operatic singing.
LOVEBITES 🐺 INCREDIBLE

Who is Dovolzark? Did you mean Antonín Dvořák?
@@75yado Yes I meant that and they spell like that very often because those letters are not regular and my key board doesn't have them. It is just like you don't have to spell 立松みどり to mean Midori Tatematsu or Seiji Ozawa for 小澤征爾. It is just that simple.

Unlucky Morpheus is another JMET band you need to see.
MIYAKO IS A SAVANT, 🤘🔥🐺🤘
That is not all that fair. With a savant you usually mean someone that has problems managing normal life, but do one thing extremely well. Usually that thing is also kind of weird, like the ability to remember everything you have seen, doing complex mathematics, whatever ...
Yes, she is a bit awkward and super skilled at the same time. But I would rather see her as a very intelligent nerd. And a very attractive, shy and gentle woman.
Miyako is a classical trained piano player. she started playing at the age of 3. she thought herself guitar at the age of 18. never had guitar lessons. so you know. just some little information.
If you like Lovebites, you should check out Band Maid. I recommend the live version of Domination as a great starting point.
Miho Miho Miho!
You need to listen to Edge of the World, another incredible song that incorporates piano
This one. The Live versions of Edge of the World and Frozen Serenade are just so beautiful and show off more of the incredible range this band is capable of.

Amazing thank you!
Miyako didn’t like that Roland electric piano, next concert it was replaced with a Yamaha real grand piano!
Great reaction and analysis my friend. Now do their song "Set the World on Fire" live. It is a great thrash song and shows their heavier side.
Not bad for a 4'-9" drummer huh, she's amazing
11:45 your face looks like you took some time to fit the piano back uh. . .hahaha i was the same the first time i heard that song. . .absolutely beautiful
Bloody Lovebites 🐺 I love'em
I have a couple of suggestions, LoveBites songs Stand and Deliver.
Mega masterpiece Lovebites, Chopin, Dvorak, Tchaykovski and Rachmaninof and power metal in one box.
We’ll be on tour in Sept but that’s awesome!!!!
