So happy you gave them a chance, and watched them in their right element. Though I like their studio material, I feel, just like Rush, it's on the stage they really shines. When the original bassist (Miho) left because of personal reasons, most fans feared she would be hard to replace. Fami stepped in, and many realised she was a known UA-camr and went in seamlessly though she is +10 years younger than the rest of the girls. Probably the happiest bassist I've seen in a while. They were one of the bands who was heavily punished by the pandemic. Published a great album and was ready to hit the road, to establish themselves as a band. A 2020 tour could've made things slightly different, since I mostly consider them a live band, and not "studio".
Lovebites will never be famous worldwilde; it's impossible for a japanese band in a black and white world and in 50 years it will be the same. Don't be so naive people. I love them but with no exposure on tv, radio, press and whith almost no young people knowing them it's impossible to achieve the succes they deserved. The only things we can do it's to buy the cd's or dvd because for now for the vast majority it's only japanese people buying that. The other things it's to see them live to support them. i'm very disapointed for the european tourney (even if the girls have fun and smiles a lot), i was hoping bigger stages but it's like that it's impossible. Maybe the us tour will attract more people for sure but to be know massively worldwilde it's impossible. Sorry for my sadness and for my bad english. i'm from belgium and at school i was terrible with english langage.
I think you are wrong. I believe they will be known worldwide. They need to keep touring. This is how all the big-name bands achieved their success. It doesn't happen overnight.
If you as a Japanese female heavy metal band manage to sell out a concert club with almost 700 seats in Germany, 12000 km away, deliver a top performance and bring the audience to a boil, that's not bad at all. Rock and classic heavy metal are no longer the thing of the youth. If one day we manage to get our beloved band to play high-quality concerts in halls with 4000 to 7000 spectators in Europe, South and North America and Asia, then we will be satisfied. That's all we can do for the time being. There won't be any new Rolling Stones, Metallicas or Iron Maidens in the future.
Hanabie. and Crystal Lake performed on the main stage at Resurrection Festival yesterday, and Jiluka and Babymetal are gonna do the same. Hanabie. is gonna be on the main stage even at Lollapalooza. So it's already been proven for a Japanese band to be able to perform on the biggest stage at a big festival. But you're right. Lovebites' fans aren't young at all, and their genre doesn't get much attention anymore, meaning for Lovebites it might be really difficult.
maybe you should be listening to these garbage bands then, Hanabie, Crystal Lake and Jiluka boring ass metalcore, same riffs and break downs for the last 25 years.
Midori and Asami are so adorable! 🥰 It was cute how Midori was explaining the tour name: "thin line between love and hate". From what I have seen so far... no hate, only lots of LOVE for them! ☺ At the end, Asami said she wants to tour with Judas Priest and maybe sing "Painkiller" on stage with them! That would be AMAZING. 😍
There's a video somewhere from a few years ago which is pretty long and has Midori and Asami speaking English for the whole thing. I think it's something that doesn't get much of a mention so it does come as a surprise, but Midori's English is really quite good.
Thank you for highlighting LOVEBITES so well - saw them one week ago in Belgium and it was a dream come true - I've been listening to them for five years and never thought they would come back to Belgium again! As I was part of the venue staff, I've seen that they're totally genuine, unpretentious and adorable people too. They deserve all the praise and love from the metal world!
I'm very happy that Lovebites are getting more and more attention. They more than deserve it. They are opening a new era of heavy metal. Glory to the Wolfpack
1 week and and I will get to see them live, it's crazy to think that the ladies of #lovebites who play such powerful music on stage, are such beautiful souls, the contrast between them whilst working and chilling out and relaxing is staggering, and shows just how professional they are. ❤️🤘🎤🎸🥁🎹🐺🇬🇧
Fan since Shadowmaker and loyal Wolfpack member. So glad they finally get to tour outside of Japan and get to show the insane talent of the band to all those who have never experienced this group. This band is a BUCKET-LIST item and I only wish they could add more dates in the Americas. However, Miyako has some piano tour recitals in Japan and I know that limits their availability.Nonetheless, much like Wacken they will blow away the crowds who come to see them. Thank you for the added exposure this band deserves so much more!!!!!
When Asami said Judas Priest, I was so thrilled to hear that, my favorite bands are LOVEBITES and Judas Priest. Thanks for this interview with these awesome beautiful ladies! 🤘🐺
@@metallove1 well they got 2 songs written for British heavy-metal exclusively."golden destination" was written about old school British metal in general and "the crusade" was a homage to Iron Maiden.Miho was the huge maiden fan in the group and effectively she started it, so I'm not sure that the other girls are so inclined. The pilgrim was a bit cringe in this interview, just because he's a major Iron Maiden fan.He should of asked them why they called it "the thin line between love and hate", not asked a embarrassing leading question. They are of this generation, which means that most of their influences are going to be from 2000-2010, when they were teenagers growing up, not from the 80s
Been an "enthusiastic fan" of them for 4 years now and yes, they are that good. Incredibly strong musicians and song writers. And performers. Sadly the metal world is still full of gatekeepers and haters who won't even give such a great new band a chance. They're missing out on a lot. Saw them live 2 times last week and will see them again in London on monday 0701🤘🏻🙂
Beware the date. First they are in Paris on Tuesday, then Hellfest on Friday, Resurrection on Saturday, and the Monday after that is your date! Until Roskilde on Thursday. So Monday is correct, but check the week!
I have been a fan of Lovebites for several years. I realized a long time ago that when I reach for their music, in an overwhelming number of cases I open UA-cam and watch concert material. This is a great concert band that multiplies the power of its music when it plays live. That's what I felt while watching UA-cam. A few days ago I did something I promised myself - I took the chance and saw the girls on stage in real life. It was a small venue in Milan. The fact that the club was small was an advantage. The atmosphere was as if I was moved to the early 80s and watching Iron Maiden in some small club. There was so much freshness, sincere emotions, enthusiasm, joy in playing and receiving music. Priceless. Without a doubt one of the best concerts I have ever been to. The small club (Legend club) worked well, but these girls' place is on the biggest stages, stadiums and concert halls. They really deserve it.
@@ragemage4984 That "Ole Ole Ole Ole Lovebites, Lovebites" will go down in history as one of the band's greatest moments. I wouldn't be surprised if it finds its way into a future documentary or DVD from the band.
I've been in Lindau Germany a day before Milan also in a small club with Lovebites live! They are an absolutely amazing live band, it's a must see for every fan of classic heavy metal!
I saw them at the New Cross Inn London at the start of their tour. The venue was small and left much to be desired, but the ladies were simply incredible. It was an amazing experience to be so close to these talented and beautiful musicians. So happy that they are winning converts during the tour and looking forward to seeing them in London again for the penultimate concert of the tour.
In September of last year, I traveled from Budapest to Osaka to see them. I was also in Milan last week. I agree with you, I also think the concert was very, very good. There was much more energy on stage than in front of the Japanese audience, where there were chairs in the auditorium. I hope they come to my country one day. Greetings from Hungary.
It's been easily over a decade since I've been this obsessed over a band as much as I am about these young ladies. They're seriously monstrously good, and I have no doubts they'll only get better with time.

It's not "kawaii metal".
I hope that one day ANY band can go to Ukraine and perform. We just need those pesky Russians to go home. But thanks for interviewing LOVEBITES, one of the most talented metal bands active today.
I hope they will play in Ukraine free from nacist, in reunited Russian.
@@VeljkoNikolic-is5px Yep - you definitely want to be free from those nacists. The way they go around nacisting everything is just so annoying. They should just go an nacist themselves don't you think?
@@1970Phoenix Of course they do. First EU, then USA, Germany and others. Russians are not Nazism. Maybe they were communist but not Nazism.

I rapidly check live footage and there awesome and really cute. (I love japanese😂) But at the question about the name of the tour if is it coïncidence about iron Maiden, she dont know what to Said. She just look embarrassed and look at her manager to know what to Said.
Lovebites and Babymetal, are they real band in control of what they do or is it just a big enterprise like all japanese idol band or for america the equivalent of Back street boys and spice girl.
I hope its clear, english not my first language😅

Not a so young band. They could have made it years ago.
アサミはキャバ嬢になったらめっちゃ稼げると思う。
嬢メタルだから。
maybe you should be listening to these garbage bands then, Hanabie, Crystal Lake and Jiluka boring ass metalcore, same riffs and break downs for the last 25 years.
Zzzzzzz.sukiyaki
Garbage
Stop, self-deprecation is not healthy for you.
Self reflection is a good thing, congrats! 👍🏻

Midori and Asami are so adorable! 🥰
It was cute how Midori was explaining the tour name: "thin line between love and hate".
From what I have seen so far... no hate, only lots of LOVE for them! ☺
At the end, Asami said she wants to tour with Judas Priest and maybe sing "Painkiller" on stage with them!
That would be AMAZING. 😍
Midori English speaking really surprised me
Asami does do, So does Miyako.
There's a video somewhere from a few years ago which is pretty long and has Midori and Asami speaking English for the whole thing. I think it's something that doesn't get much of a mention so it does come as a surprise, but Midori's English is really quite good.
Yap, first time for me as well. I've heard Asami and Miyako speak English many times, but somehow Midori's talent has had less exposure.
They are currently the best power metal band on the global scene.
that has to be a joke, Blind Guardian is still doing concerts
Welcome to the world of LOVEBITES!!! 💯👍👍👍
Wolfpack here!!🤘🐺

Wow! I’m impress with both of their English skills. Hope they do more interviews like this. Rock on 🤘 LOVEBITES!
the greatest female band all of time
Band maid too!
1 week and and I will get to see them live, it's crazy to think that the ladies of #lovebites who play such powerful music on stage, are such beautiful souls, the contrast between them whilst working and chilling out and relaxing is staggering, and shows just how professional they are. ❤️🤘🎤🎸🥁🎹🐺🇬🇧
I fully understand that there are restrictions when touring live overseas, but I think it is quite sad that Miyako's keyboard performance is omitted.
And Haruna only has one star symbal instead of three, and only one bass drum.
Love Lovebites 🏴 🤘 🐺
Great video and interview. I am so glad you created this.
thank you so much for this feature - they deserve all the exposure they can get
❤ Bites! Great interview MP...
Hope they get to record or play with JP, would be the ultimate gig for them as artists. They are phenomenal.👏🤘
Got the chance to see them in italy, and they were fantastic!! The awesome music, and the ladies were super fun with the crowd all night!! 🤘😊
Their english is getting really good!
They are awesome. Glad they are on a big tour.
Next metal gods, yes. I confirm.
Thanks and greetings to Asami and Midori for a charming interview!
When Asami said Judas Priest, I was so thrilled to hear that, my favorite bands are LOVEBITES and Judas Priest. Thanks for this interview with these awesome beautiful ladies! 🤘🐺
The same here plus Iron Maiden. Lovebites covered Painkiller perfectly. Check it out.
LOVEBITES POLSKA GIVE ME THE BEAT 🇵🇱🇯🇵🇺🇦🐺❤🎤⭐🥁🎸🎸🎸🤘

I was there too. OLEEEE OLE OLE OLEEEE LOVEBIIIIITES LOVEBIIIIITES
It's so cool! Thank you for uploading this valuable video.
めっちゃかっこいいっす!貴重な動画アップありがとう。
And I thought Asami's favorite vocal hero was Mariah Carey. 😄
Thanks for interviewing Lovebites!
They're awesome ! I saw them in Belgium ! ❤❤❤
Love this band so much. 5 great musicians and one amazing band
I never knew Midori could speak English that well.
if im not mistaken she studied music in america. Theres a video on fb where she and asami answers fan questions in english
She seems quite relaxed when she speaks English
Nuno also attended a LOVEBITES concert in Tokyo last year. He was playing at the same venue with Extreme 2 days before.
Yeah, that was really cool. Lovebites got their picture taken with him!
Thanks for your interview to these incredible musicians and for uploading the video!!! Great questions and interactions with them!!!
