Hi, do you have any pictures of the TPS location please. I have exactly the same issue with my 75hp Mercury Optimax 2006. Guardian kicks in at 4,000 rpm followed by the solid beep. I am thinking of replacing the TPS myself but never done that before…

I don't have any pictures. It is on the starboard side of the engine right behind the oil tank. You should be able to see throttle cables in the area. It was very easy to replace.
