Honestly, for fast food, Wendy's breakfast is pretty outstanding. My go-to's are the Breakfast Baconator, and the Bacon, Egg, and Swiss croissant. The potato wedges are also great.

Yes, but since her channel is monetized, the breakfast becomes part of the cost (of doing business) come Tax Time. In America, that could mean that up to 50% of the cost of breakfast could come back in the form of Deductions, reducing the income on which she would be taxed. I know nothing of Irish taxes, though, so I don't know how that would affect the overall tax situation.
Honestly I didn't even know Wendy's HAD breakfast. I've never heard that they are 'the most popular'. I went out and googled it, and McDonald's still holds the top spot.

"Taco breakfast burrito" ?? Tacos are tacos. Burritos are burritos. French TOAST sticks. English muffins are called such to differentiate them from American muffins which are shaped like cupcakes. McMuffin is what McDonalds calls their breakfast sandwiches. The original Egg McMuffin was egg, cheese and a slice of Canadian bacon on an English muffin.
I'm glad you got the French toast sticks - those are completely different (more realistic) than bk and mcd. Also the syrup... I've never had syrup that delicious before

While a bib might work for messy toddlers, it'd be totally inadequate for TasteTest Diane. I suggest a poncho!
For the longest time, Wendy's wasn't open for breakfast and now their offerings are great. I love the potato wedges. I remember when they had a cup of chili and baked potatoes on the $1 menu.
Back in the day there was a Wendy's in walking distance of my college. I'd go there for lunch, and get a side salad (about twice as large as they are now), either a chili or a baked potato, and a medium frosty, all for about $3. Now just one of those items will set you back over $3.
I accidentally stumbled on one of your videos yesterday, and now I'm binge watching 😊 A new fan here in Nashville. I coincidentally had a Baconator frie from Wendy's today for lunch. So good!

They're definitely better than Burger King, however, Mcdonald's Mcgriddles is the best. If you want to try Wendy's,. then try the breakfast Baconator.

D, I’m with you on the touch screen kiosk- no errors in translation, and there are customize options that I never knew were available (at McDonald’ anyway) - it’s definitely the way to go. Pro tip, the app allows you to do this for the drive - thru.
Cholula is like the queen of packet hot sauces here, adds great flavor without much of a heat kick. But it does go everywhere if you don’t get the packet open just right. That or Tapatio are probably the right amount of heat for your Irish palate.
You should definitely go back for breakfast there and get a Breakfast Baconator combo which gets you potato wedges and choice of drink, which I always get a chocolate Frosty-ccino.
My only question would be: How do you not order the signature breakfast item: the Breakfast Baconator? It might be the best thing on any fast food menu.

Scrub the stain with water and salt. That sometimes works.

The breakfast chicken croissant sandwich is amazing! But my go-to is an order of the potatoes and a cup of the gravy to dip them in!
Those soda machines are post mix machines, and are the new technology of super high concentrate. Each flavor is within a small cartridge, and there's only 1 bag in a bog,; which contains the sweetner. This system allows you to mix flavors, and have multitudes of combonations.

This is typically my traveling woe, as well.
When I moved abroad Wendy's was not open for breakfast. This is the first I've heard of it. I can tell you those self-serve Soda machines are in the Wendy's in London, UK
That soda machine should have soda water. The next time you spill, you should use that to remove or minimize the stain.
You definitely need a Tide stick! French toast is always better with maple syrup. You got breakfast for 4 people! I hope you enjoy your time in the Midwest.

I used to work at Wendy’s. The sausage chunks in the gravy are the sausages from the morning prior that were too gross and dry to sell. Same with the chili. The meat in the chili is made from huge sacks of the burger meat from up to a week prior that was too gross and dry to sell. The sausage, egg & Swiss croissant is really good though!
The best Wendy's breakfast imo is the breakfast baconator combo. Sausage, bacon, cheese sauce, egg with potato wedges. My absolute favorite of any fast food breakfasts by a long shot.
They do breakfast really well. Gotta try more.
Aw, Diane 😂❤ As someone who is also habitually messy, I have learned various tricks to reduce the number of spills and stains I subject myself to.. in this case, always open sauce packets over your food or the wrappings! (Always open anything over a surface that isn't your lap, really 😂)

Chicago is my old stomping ground! It may not be the most amazing place in the world but the people very grounded and generally pretty friendly, if you make even a tiny effort. Also, I can relate - I've cleaned stains with Diet Coke before.

I imagine that Wendy's breakfast is much like any of the other fast food places. Breakfast sandwiches in general are pretty common, pick your meat (typically sausage, ham, or bacon), your bread (wrap, muffin, biscuit, toast), and throw on a fried egg and cheese. They're pretty simple to make at home too, if you're feeling productive in the morning and have the time.
Fun side note, i frequently make s mess on myself while eating too. I usually carry a couple Shout Wipes, especially when traveling. And I always have a supply in my car.
As an American, I was unaware that Wendy's had breakfast.

The coca-cola freestyle machine you mention near the beginning is an interesting machine. It mixes your drink as it's poured AND because it has different sub-flavors in there, they can use the internet to update the machine to sent out new flavors. When my building got Sprite Lymonade, we didn't have to do ANYTHING, it just updated to add a new icon which pulled up the new mix ratio. If you've read this far, please, everyone, hear my request: PLEASE stop throwing trash into the ice drain. Anything that is thrown in there usually has to be cleaned out with special hand tools and it's disgusting.

I used to work at a Wendys in the early 2000s (high school) and they didn't have breakfast then. I'd heard they tried to have it a few times (on and off) over the years but couldn't compete with McDonalds. I can't remember when Wendy's breakfast rebooted (maybe like 2010s??) and it actually stuck around.
French toast is my jam. I love it for breakfast with some sausage and eggs on the side.

All Wendys have a bathroom with indoor plumbing. You could have use clean water instead of Dr. Pepper. They usually even have soap.

Google works very well with public transit in Chicago- and the self serve kiosks for buying multi-day passes are the way to go.
Wendy's has a good breakfast, however nothing beats the Mcdonald's McGriddle.

Those French bread sticks have been around since the late 1980s/early 1990s. I'd sometimes stop by a Wendy's on my way to high school to get a coffee and French bread sticks. Eat 'em in the car when I got to school, and by that time it was first bell.
If you go back to Wendy's for breakfast get the potato wedges. They look like fries but they have a delicious seasoning on them
You should get a Tide stain pen (or whatever it's called) if you spill food and drink on your clothes often. Just keep it in your purse or pocket.
Hot sauce on scrambled eggs is quite common in the US. Stains on the pants mean you are just normal.

I've not tried Wendy's breakfast, there isn't one where I live. My preferred fast food breakfast is tied between Tim Hortons and A&W. I alternate between them because they're only a block apart where I live! I have a similar problem with spills as you do, except I usually get my shirt and I've been an adult for about twice the time you have!!
About your question regarding the music played in Ubers, I think most people wouldn't mind if you ask for them to change the station or music selection as long as you're nice about it. I mean of course don't be an ass, but as long as you're polite, I think most people wouldn't have a problem with changing the music that they are playing in their car.

I don't know where the idea that Wendy's is the most popular comes from. I looked online - one website had McDonald's voted best in 30 states, another had McDonald's voted best in 49 states - and when the re-ran the poll in later years rephrased it to which is the best fast-food breakfast that isn't McDonalds.
"English muffin" is American for "crumpet", more or less. McMuffin was the McDonalds brand name for their English muffin sandwiches. The most popular brand of English muffin in the US is Thomas's, available in any grocery store.
Nope, a Crumpet is made with milk and is grilled. An English Muffin is made with water and is toasted.

oh man, their biscuits and gravy is so good, for a fast food place. the honey butter biscuits, even on their own are delicious! I don't know how you feel about lemonade, but next time you see a freestyle machine, try the peach or blueberry lemonade. So good.
What they have biscuits and gravy at Wendy's? I tried breakfast there once don't remember seeing it on the menu. Where I am from too everybody has it. McDonalds has it and I know not everywhere does McDonalds serve it.

@@Karatoona Guess I will have to try again. Its been a while maybe it was added after I was there for breakfast. McDonalds here has biscuits and gravy though and its pretty good. Not sure I have ever been elsewhere that has them but our McDonalds on the SC coast does have them.
I know nothing of your schedule, but when I see you try everything on the menu, I wonder about splicing together very short videos made on subsequent days. Once long ago Wendy's would advertise that when you bite into their burgers, juice would squeeze out and need to be blotted off your face. Seems like the hot-n-juicy legacy lives on.

It's a bit of a stretch to call Wendy's breakfast "the favorite breakfast in America", especially since they haven't been doing breakfast for all that long. But out of the fast food chains, theirs is by far the best. Something about the egg tastes more like a real egg and less like whatever it is McDonalds does to their eggs. As for chain restaurants and breakfast, I'd say Bob Evans or Cracker Barrel. You might have fun at a Cracker Barrel.
I like those customizable soda dispensers as well - they make every meal a little bit of a special occasion. I make Strawberry Coke (1 part Fanta Strawberry soda and 4 parts Coke, approximately.).
Occasionally..I stop in for the number one at Wendy’s..the maple bacon chicken sandwich..as a meal..so add their potatoes and orange juice..
