Alice 2 could've been better if they kept Tim Burton, and Maleficent 2 felt kinda just like rehashing part 1--though it was weird how Phillip wasn't more central to the film when his mom was the villain.
I have to confess even though I do enjoy Maleficent (2014) as a guilty pleasure, even I couldn’t stand Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. My least favorite part of that film being when Maleficent is killed and Aurora crying over her literal ashes and I knew just a few seconds later Maleficent would come back from the dead and turns out I was right. Shows how little investment I had with the sequel and Maleficent’s character.
Wasn't a fan of the "oh, you're not special; there's a whole race of us like you" reveal, as well as rushing through this to focus on a magical war when barely anyone felt special enough for me to care if they were hurt/died. I don't see why Flittle even had to die since they just needed to plug up the organ.
I actually liked Alice 2 much more than the first one. I usually enjoy Tim Burton movies but the first Alice was always a let down to me because I love the Lewis Carroll stories and I didn’t find any of the charm from them in the movie. It seemed to me it was more so in that one they tried to be clever in referencing the books but it felt hollow. Tim was open about never liking the original stories which explains it, James Bobin on the other hand always loved them and I can see that difference in the sequel. The story is definitely weird but I thought it was more interesting with the time traveling, the dangers of meddling with the past, and the message of appreciating the time you have before it’s gone. Although like the first one, the sequel’s story was a departure from the books in a way but I still find it overall more true to Carroll’s style especially with how fast paced it was. I also appreciated that visually it was more vibrant and beautiful, and I thought Mia’s performance as Alice was stronger
I still prefer the first one, but I still like the 2nd one. I love the colors in the second one and think it had some good themes and good parts. The 3rd act is where I feel it falls apart. I would have liked them to keep some of the stuff from the original script/movie novelization where they rescue Hatter's family before the whole race against time in the end, and I kind of wanted the red queen to be a bit more menacing - and no veggie people haha. But it's definitely not a terrible sequel and I do enjoy it. The good bye at the end always kills me and I wish there had been a 3rd film.
What do you think about making a video about animated movies from Warner Brothers (Cats don't Dance, The Iron Giant, Space Jam, Osmosis Jones, Happy Feet, The LEGO Movies, Storks, and Smallfoot) and Paramount (which they are the company's that own the other channels along side the Disney channel with Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon)
I bring up Sony Pictures Animation, Blue Sky Studios, Warner Brothers, and Paramount because most of your videos are Disney and Pixar related, now I'm not complaining, but the non Disney and Pixar related videos are not as common like your DreamWorks videos, Across the Spider Verse video, two videos for Illumination such as your video about the Mario movie and why you don't like Illumination, and also very little videos about Marvel
I wish that Tim Burton never make that Alice in Wonderland remake so none of this madness would ever happen again even if the good ones also get erased from space-time continuum
Shrek 2, How to train your Dragon 2 , Madagascar 2 and 3, Puss in boots, the last wish and Cinderella twist in time are good examples of good sequels!😊
_Puss in Boots_ is not a _Shrek_ movie. It's a spin-off and a sequel to that spin-off. I don't give a damn about _Shrek 5_ It's pretty obvious it's impossible to be a _TLW_ 2.0 type of film.
May I just say, the first Tim Burtons live action Alice in Wonderland movie is technically a sequel as well.

I have a soft spot for 102 dalmatians because I used to listen to it as a child.
I love 102 Dalmatians ❤
Mary Poppins returns is the most sequel of 2018 back in 6 years ago.

He should talk about the dreamworks 2d animated movies, the swan princess and the bon bluth animated movies.
@@vincenthoule5643 those too
Happy New Year, Aldone! 🥳🎉🎊🎈🥂🎆
i hope amazon dont make a live action helluva boss nor hazbin hotel if they do they will be worse than the disney live action remakes
The same goes for the don bluth animated movie(except titan AE). Those movies can't work as a live action remake.
How do you think Aldone would feel about Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss?
I love sequels better than the originals

@@michaelbrent1536 most of those movies you mentioned are DreamWorks movies except for Cinderella Twist in Time
