Fantastic as always John and your good lady and again the perfect choice of complimentary music to go with it, thanks for sharing, and with my best regards from Alan in South Yorkshire 😊😊👍👍❤
Apologies for not noticing it was your brother flying, cheers to him for the flight, that's how hypnotic watching these videos can become!!,, ALL the best from Alan South Yorkshire 👍👍❤
Always wondered how that John Deer green could look good on any plane... Well no more questions! On John's glider of course! Stunning with those golden accents, love it!
Imagine, 20 years from now, replaying this video and remembering that perfect day you flew the Thermalist....Hopefully, that day will arrive and you can relive it once again...
@@SlopeRCGliders Our yearly trips to Belgium, & France (watching races and touring) didn't happen this year, I can't see them happening next year either, hearing you have a tandem pleases my soul, hubby won't get on one, he feels deep shame when he rides a fully loaded touring bike anywhere he may get recognized. In breaking news I'm the proud owner of two gliders, both unwanted gifts that needed to be built, they are absolutely NOT in your league, or in the next two tiers down.
I just love your videos I envy your ability to slope soar in such a beautiful location. I want so badly to slope soar at my location, but despite hills and trade winds there are few locations that are relatively easy to reach or that are not restricted access.
Flying as it was meant to be. Wing loading looks to be 4-5 oz/sq/ft? I'm sure she could be ballasted for heavier wind but she looks good this morning! Thanks again for sharing!
Loved the pilot's cheeky smile at the end of the video. I'm sure I recognise him from somewhere? It all seems so long ago now. Even though the hair is short, (rather reminiscent of an Action Man.....actually I think he has grippy hands like Action Man) you can see that it's made from the strongest steel wool and iron filings. Good flying skills though. Good trousers too! Don't worry John, he'll never have the ability to coordinate his wardrobe with the planes as you do. :-) Another great video John. Did you film this one? Take care. Brad

Hi there Bob. Unfortunately I don’t have any plans for the Big Eagle. I was just looking to see if they had them on the Outerzone website , because I could have printed some out for you, but they don’t appear to have them there.
I found a Veron Eagle Wakefield at Aerofred. Don't know if it is the one. Here's the link if you want to take a look. aerofred.com/details.php?image_id=97899

John, i would like yuor esteemed opinion: always to start flyng, someone suggested starting first the simulators and then moving on to planes, what do you think?
A simulator definitely helps to get a feel for model aircraft basics. They tend to be much better at simulating powered aircraft, rather than than gliders.
I think it has about 200 grams of extra weight in the nose. The CG is quite a long way back on the wing because of the huge tail, so it doesn’t take as much nose-weight as it looks like.
Let’s not forget the person behind the camera, all that majesty has to be captured in the same vein, and it is.
Great John... It's my childhood dream ... Thanks for showing us ... God bless you

Majestic and so calming John. Look forward to the next one. :-)
Your music is always appropriate and well matched to the subject. Nice!!

The beauty and grace of this aircraft remains amazing.
It's one of my 3 most favorite.
Thank you John...
Thank you.
I just love the look of big polyhedral wings. Especially on your big gliders!!! Wonderful stuff as always!

Id love to see this plane catching some first day thermals on a farmfield somewhere 😍
Beautiful sailplane John. Thanks.
John scores again! Gracefully done!!! Congrats!!!!!

Just what i needed to watch after a stressful day at work. Cheers
Beautifully graceful and outstanding video filming
Very nice, I'm really enjoying these longer video's, they're so relaxing.
Thank you. So glad you are enjoying them!
Have you been out on the bike much lately?
@@SlopeRCGliders Yes daily, for fun & commuting, you?.
Emilie Jade we were planning another big touring trip abroad, on the tandem this year, but it will have to wait to next year now...

Emilie Jade the best flier out there is the one having the most fun. It really doesn’t matter what you fly!
Wow! So graceful 😀
You are a master of silent flight!
It was my brother flying.
Thank you John ! I´m go check the Outerzone site to find this glider ! Good Job at Gliders and Big Hugs ! From Brazil
Nice, the cockpit area reminds me of the Slingsby Skylark. Very pretty and nicely flown.
Great video and nice flying. Thanks! On one or two of those low passes I'm sure the worms were ducking their heads! :) Excellent camera work as well.
The joy of large lightly loaded gliders on the slope!
Beautiful, as ever.
I believe I could fly!Thanks a lot Mr John!

so beautiful!
It just looks so effortless😊👍
A knight with his stallion, a sailor with his ship, a pilot and his plane... It's all the same. synergy
It is the one that flies the best ... I like the dihedral wings ❤️️👍
super cool ce planeur !
Nice sky ride ...
I like the colour, very different 👍
I wasn’t sure I was going to like it but it came out better than I thought. It’s hard trying to come up with new colour schemes all the time.

Nice and great
John, wonderful as usual !
Ever thought to add a camera inside and show us as a bonus the very same flight majesty from inside the plane ?
I do have a few videos with a camera mounted on the wing. If you can find my Playlists there is one called ‘onboard footage’
@@SlopeRCGliders Ok ! I missed it sorry ....
This plane looks like its doing a pirouette on the tip of its wing. :-)
a noticeable improvement in flying skills... lets John develop his piano as well...

I would like to know what covering was used on the model
I think I used green Oracover on this one. The Bronze colour is just the cheap unbranded stuff from Hobbyking
@@SlopeRCGliders Thank you John,I was contemplating using Koverall as it does give that torsional strength like the heavyweight tissue of old.

Its called a Thermalist
Hi ! Were can buy the Plans this Gliders ? I`d like to do one theses ! Please
Hi there, they are free to download from the Outerzone website.
Does that plane have ailerons? (I can't see any.)
Nope, just rudder and elevator to keep it simple and light.
