A month ago i decided to fully teardown a seized 300 engine. I didn't take any photos because i figured such a beloved atv would have thousands of detailed videos. Turns out there was almost no videos on this engine. Then you put up this video up couple days before all the parts i needed came in. This saved me so much time not having to reference a manual for each small step. Thank you very much!

With the gasket and gasket maker you didn’t run into any issues some say it will bind stuff up if you use both want to know before I do what you did step by step thanks

No problems Iv ever ran into, once you tighten everything down that gasket maker is so thin it’s honestly just there to help bond the paper gasket to the aluminum

      amzn.to/49wB4rt top end gaskets
amzn.to/3T9XkBL only buying this for case gasket, stator cover gasket, clutch cover gasket, and potentially some of the o rings
      amzn.to/4bQxLgj starter cover gasket

Essentially that should be everything that I can think of off the top of my head!

You put your oil rings at 180?

@@TylerHinton01 Stock is 180? Never saw that before, I bought a Rebuild kit and when i take cylinder off im going to look but I never put a oil ring at 180 in my life and built lots of motors

@@jasongodin7165 like I said in the video probably not the exact or probably the proper way but it’s worked for me and stilling running on this top end with zero problems and Iv sank it probably 15 times now. No exaggeration. And no doesn’t burn a lick of oil.
Page 98 of the digital service manual in my description is the factory ring spec. “Space the piston ring end gaps 120 degrees apart. Do not align the gaps in the oil rings (side rails)”
