I thought the answer was C, because it does not have a black triangle like the others. Bad type of question because it has multiple correct questions.

    • @TheRealKarlis

Agree. I picked C because all others had triangles at top and circles at the top of the box. It seems C has more reasons to be out than in.

At 7:00 you ask: What pattern doesn't belong to the group. You conclude with D because the placement of the half circle. I totally disagree because in C that is the only one with the triangle NOT in line with the top line. So correct answer is C!

    • @parthsharma8892

C also doesn’t have a black triangle present like the other options do

    • @fullmastrinio
      @fullmastrinio 7 місяців тому +2

This is a poorly designed question to be honest. Box D is more inline with the rest of the shapes in terms of circle position, triangle position and count of the triangles. Answer C is the one that is so obvious that is the odd one out because the circle is nowhere near where the rest are and it also has one white triangle and no black triangles.
      Very poorly designed question.

For the pentagram problem, you know that there are 5 lines of symmetry throughout the pattern, so any time you find a unique triangle shape, you can assume there will be 4 others just like it somewhere else in the pentagram and count it as 5 triangles.

Reverse the first column 2,7,5 make it 5,7,2 and multiply with second column 2,3,4
    Now 2×5 makes 10
    3×7 makes 21
    4×2 makes 8
Now we can see that reverse 5,7,2 in multiplication

The question with the circles and the triangles I came to A. Reasoning that if you would assign 0 to black and 1 to white, You would have from the center circle, a value of 010 / 011 / 100 / 110. The first one, A, then being the outlier to an otherwise double value.

11:49 I got D because it's the only one which has the same color for both the 3/4 circle and smaller circle, along with the fact that the triangles are all the same color, unlike answers A, B, and C.

Great questions Vince!!! Everyone is different so please don't feel discouraged and yes - you can learn how to understand the questions and best ways to solve it. A little practice goes a long way - just try training your brain on solving these kind of problems and you won't remember how you weren't sure about those. Best of luck Vince!!! Please keep me posted of your progress.

I did my aptitude test yesterday (Took 6 hours), a full test battery with a one hour interview by an Aviation Psychologist. I did no preparation in advance, the examiner (in my case) will look at a summary of the scores from the tasks. Some were time limited to introduce stress and see how you react to stress and insurmountable tasks. Dont compare your intelligence to the grades you recieved in High School, i did and got a pleasant suprise that i was above average in the tests and i nearly failed Physics, Math etc in High School. The best advice i could give you : You never know if you have what it takes if you dont do it, become comfortable with the uncertanty of the situation and show to the examiner that you wont give up when it becomes challenging (your reaction to some of theses tests infuence the score).
Keep in mind this was a aptitude test for a spot in a self sponsored program to become a Offshore Helicopter Pilot, tests may vary.
