You are such a nice as well as intelligent person.
Your enthusiasm is palpable. You give those of us here to learn, hope and the confidence to take, and pass these tests successfully! Bravo my friend
question are easy but sometime gets tricky but i have improved a lot after watching your video and got the general idea how to solve such types of question.
thank you very much.
Last test; different way of solution. How I got the correct answer is I added 15 to 22 which the answer would be 37, minus 5 equals 32. I started from the big square left corner diagonal to lower right. Then Lower left to upper right which starts from 23 plus (find the best possible answer by looking at the choices and I started from letter A which led me straight to the correct answer which is 1) equals to 24 subtract to 13 which will equal to 11 and the answer is 1. I didn't know there was a different pattern there. Thank you! I learned a lot.
This video is enriching my thirst for understanding and solving cognitive tests.
I shall continue my subscription until I am good at solving the mysteries in reasoning.
For question at timestamp 4:00, i got the correct answer but using a different method for the pattern:
Every box is a number represented by “x * (x+1)” where x starts from 0 and increases by 1 with every subsequent box.
So 1st box is 0*1 , then 1*2, then 2*3, then 3*4, then 5*6 and finally 6*7.
Hope that helps 😊
Sir, your expression and explanations are very convenient and smooth. Respect from Bangladesh❤️
A beautiful post.
Lovely to go through it.
Thank you , dear post presenter.
More of the sort are welcome.
75% is the ans for the passing rate question. Choice D. 75%
At the last example, I read it in a different way as follows, the boxes adjacent to each other added up to same numbers for example ( 15 + 22 = 37, 32 + 5 = 37 ) the next boxes correspond to the same ( 11 + 13 = 24, 23 + 1 = 24 ). Hope I tried it well
He’s a life saver I passed my test thank u man
Bro u return the test from home itself
Bro totaly how many rounds
I think the summ approach is more conclusive and easier to see. Notice the diagonal sums. From lower left, 4+3+1 = 8. Apply that to 5+3 reading from upper left and the answer is obviously zero. So, three rows and the two diagonals all equal 8.

Questions like this shouldn't be included in any exams, unless there is only one answer to the question and adequate and full context is given. This is a riddle without context and would and should be fairly disputed if any incorrect result was ever given (a breakdown of results are never given... and now it's clear why). If you ask how many seconds in a year, most people would assume you mean a measurement of time (because nobody says "seconds" in a context that doesn't mean time, because if you're referring to a position/place there can't be SECONDS (unless they are tied for second place) there can only be A SECOND as a place, or seconds as a unit of time. At no point were months or days referenced. A square peg won't fit into a round hole without manipulation.
I feel I should state that I genuinely do appreciate this video and that my rant is not directed at you if in fact this is a typical question. Thank you for making this video, you did a great job, it's just the question that bothers me.
Excellent! thanks so much for sharing. Please do make more such content.
My answer to the question about the 60-item quiz is D. 75%. The candidate has 60% of the first 20 questions correctly answered. 60% of 20 is 12. He needs 30 points more from the remaining questions to earn a percentage of 70% for the entire quiz. 12 + 30 is 42 which is 70% of 60. But the question is, how many percent FROM THE REMAINING ITEMS does he need? There are 40 questions left since he already finished the first 20. So what percent of 40 is 30? 75% is the answer.
Very helpful video sir, I will do my aptitude test after watching this.
In the square with the diamonds question your answer is one of the 3 that exist. For me at least. Yours: add the number of diamonds form in each square. Now mine: 1- (the last corner square pattern has to have a diagonal from left upper top to right lower bottom and the square next to the last one has to have a horizontal line. Thus the answer is A. )the
Now 2- ( the number of diamonds in the squares are: first row - 4 - 3 - 2 Second row 2-3-4 and the last row has to be 4-3-2 Thus answer A)

I found the diamond question by adding the numbers in the rows. Lucky in the sense that they were setup to all start with 4, as I came out with the correct answer as well.
For the question in timestamp 18:28 i found the correct answer which is 12 using the abbreviation BODMAS( Bracket Order Division Multiplication Addition Division )...my teacher taught us this....anyways PEMDAS is also looking easy... I'll try it in the other questions when necessary... thank you
This is such good teaching... Thank you sir.
38:16 I found 1 as answer but in a different way: first big colum, from bottom to top => 23-15 = 8, Second small column from top to bottom => 13-5 = 8; Second big column, from Bottom to top =>32-11 = 21, First small column, from top to bottom = 22 - ? = 21 -> that is = 1 (hope it's clear)

32:08, I solved that by process of elimination. The only constant to me was that the first row has 2 boxes that have 5 filled squares, the second row only has 1 box of 5 squares filled, so the missing box in the third row has to have 5 boxes filled.
0
The final question i answered in another way, 15+22=37, 11+13=24 on the upper half, when it comes to lower half, 23+?=24,32+5=37 so 23+1=24, i don't know whether this method was correct or not, but thanks for your video, i enjoyed a lot.
Amazing 🎉thanks for sharing this video, well done 👍
In the final puzzle with square inside a a square, the values in the outer square has difference of 4, 8, and 9.
If you apply that logic 1 must be the right answer.
Perhaps correct answer using wrong logic :)
For the white-grey-black squares: there is another (easier?) way. Count the number of grey squares in each cell, going from left to right, top to bottom. You get a sequence 2-4-2-4-2-4-2-4. The empty cell must therefore contain 2 grey squares. Only "D" fits. For black, the sequence is 5-3-5-3-5-3-5-3. The next item is 5, and again only "D" fits.

You are amazing,. Thank you for these
Thank you so much sir this is awesome video ❤❤
At 37:13 I also got answer (D) in 2 seconds but it wasn’t because I looked at the triangles , there actually was a pattern in the circles , A-C all have contrasting small circles & 3/4 circles. (D) is the only one where they are both the same color
I got the triangle too, but this was the pattern I noticed first
Thank you so much 💓 for this informative show
Thank you so much for this answer🥰💖 so helpful
150% is my answer as we take 8 hours (100%) PLUS an extra 4 hours (50%)
please confirm the answer la .. I need step by step method to teach my students please, please
So how much MORE - you already answered it - 50% MORE time.
Using the literal interpretation of the "How many seconds in a year?" question, the answer to the second question "How many triangles do you see?" can be any number from 1 - 12, if that is what you see! That question should really ask "How many triangles are there?"
Thank you for your videos.
After looking again at the position of the shapes inside each square I noticed something even more obvious about the position of the large and small circles! Answer C is the only square with the circle located in the upper half of the square & only triangle on the bottom half! woo hoo!!

At 34:30 where there are squares, circles, and triangles I believe the correct answer is C because all the other squares have triangles at the top.
Also, all the squares have small white circles in them except (C)
First and foremost, he needs to answer 42 questions correctly to hit the 70% band.
He answered 12 correctly (out of 20 questions). So, he has 30 (42-12) points left to score out of the remaining 40 questions (i.e 60-20). So, the percentage worth of 30 points with respect to the remaining 40 questions is 75%. He needs to answer 75% of the remaining 40 questions to hit the 70% band of the entire 60 questions. QED

Same answer
ty for working out the problem. I misread the question, so you helped to clarify it :)
The same answer I thought about in a different manner
for question at 38:00
I got the correct answer “1” in different method by adding upper corners of both boxes-> 15+11+22+13= 61
lower corner
?+5+23+32=60 (plus 1 for the missing number)
I found the answer on 14:40 with the diamonds by looking at the way the squares are divided. In each row there is one cut in diagonals, one with a horizontal and one with a vertical cut.
37:09 for me is B because small circle is actually not a circle but an ellipse whose major axis is vertical in A,C,D and horizontal is B
Good point! Thank you for bringing this up!
I had d but because of the colour of the circles. A has one black one white, so has b and c, but d has 2 white. I noticed the triangles as well but thought the whole thing was deliberately wrong for a reason
4 squares each containing 1 or more small triangle(s) and a large partial circle with 4 smaller circles around the larger partial circle. I think the correct answer is C. only square with a triangle @ the bottom of square A, B & D each have 1 or more triangles all located on the top inside of the square but C. is the only square with a triangle at the bottom side of square. Answer is C. Right?
Thank u so much for ur valuable videos.🎉
Thanks This video is beneficial for me
For a 70% on a 60 question test you need 42 correct answers. 60 x 0.7 =42
You have received 60% of the first 20 questions correct 20 x 0.6 = 12 correct
You need 30 correct questions from the remaining 40 or 30 / 40 = 0.75 or 75%

That’s the answer that I came up with as well, but not in the same manner.
I followed you until 42-12=30 MCQs
But I don't get this: "you need 30 questions from the remaining 40 or 30 \ 40 = 0.75"
It's simple 60 +75 +75 = 210/3 =70
So answer is 75@@dr.fatimahuthman4819

13:24 question. There is a different way to solve it. Each square is split in half either diagonally (D), either horizontally (H), either vertically (V)
So first line is D H V
Second line is V D H
There is a pattern :one "tile" displacement to the left (last one becoming the first)
Reasonning by columns make the pattern even more obvious.
D H V
V D H
H ? ?
You can clearly and easily what's missing in each column.
Actually i found both solutions, but the one you give after the one i 'm showing here.
(sorry for my english which is not my native language)
Wonderful solution! Thank you for sharing your perspective so we can all learn! All the best on your job interview and assessment test!
@@OnlineTrainingforEveryone Thank you.
I would like to add some more ideas to solve a few of the questions.
- solution for the question at 32:24 I was looking for a detail which was present in three (not more not less, exactly three) of the squares to get the pattern. 3 of them have the black triangle at the top right corner. So for me, the good answer was C.
- solution for the question at 35:22 Of course i would probably choose the answer you gave but i would hesitate. You said the circles in the middle were there just to confuse us, which is correct if we choose the answer D. But if the circles (at least the big one) weren't useless i think the good answer would be the C.
To explain that, let's just imagine each figure is a pearl and we need to make a neclace. Imagine that black triangles are holes in the pearl. Usually the wire of the necklace pass through the middle of the pearl, i mean throw the center of the (partially drawn) big circle present in every figure regardless of its orientation . The only way to do that is to have 2 holes (black triangles) placed at exact opposite directions. That pattern is ok with A, B and D. They all have "holes" (black triangles) in opposite corners, and here especially : bottom left and top right. In this case C doesn't belong to the group.
For the challenges my answers are
challenge n1 : i'd say 50%
I need 4 hours more to complete the project 2. 4 hours is half the time needed to complete project 1 (8 hours = 100%). So i need 50% more time to complete project 2, compared to project 1.
challenge n2 : i'd say 75%
20 questions are equal to a third of 60 questions. The candidate answered correctly 60% to the questions of this first third of the test. It means 10% below the good rate. To reach the 70% needed to succed, he has to have at least the rate of 70% in each of the 2 remaining thirds of the test + the 10%. I divided 10% by 2 (thirds of the test) = 5%. So 70% (base) +5%(retake) equal 75%
Where could i get the correct answers ?
Thank you for your videos
It’s 100% I just thought about it 😃
Thank you so much bro I am very happy
The second question I've used this pattern here:
42 = 6x7
30 = 5x6
20 = 4x5
12 = 3x4
6 = 2x3
2 = 1x2
0 = 0x1
5+2+1=8 ,2+3+3 and 4+4 I didn’t see the answer but I thought that the answer should be 0 and when I checked the answers it was actually 0😁
my answer to the percentage question is D. 150%. since 8 hours is the faster time it took to finish project 1, that would be 100%. adding 4 more hours to it (which is 50% of 8) would give the time it took to finish project 2 which is 12. 100% (8) + 50% of 8 (4) = 12, which is 150% of 8
the Question is asking for the difference between them so 50%
Please are u going to do this at the assessment center if you didn't do well in GCSEs your math and English at British army assessment
75% of the remaining questions = which is 30 of the remaining 40 question . This is what I need to still answer ro get to a 70% overall rate.
Great work, thank you so much. Can I ask you a question do you think this is going to help me with GCSE English & maths?
Percentage difference= Final - start/ start × 100
So 12 - 8 = 4
4 ÷ 8 = 0.5
0.5×100=50% is the percentage difference.
4 more hours to complete project 2

I think you are supposed to divide the the difference between the final and start by the average of both before multiplying by 100
@@TheOyeniya_VlogThat is a unique assertion . It’s also wrong. When you go from total “A” to total “B”, you measure the % change in terms of “A”. There is a problem in the video, however, because the text suggests measuring one way, but the voice says to measure in the opposite way.
THANK YOU !
last question, you have smaller shape inside bigger one, scaling bigger by 0.5 * 81 = 40.5, which makes 22+13+5 = 40, then 1 will closely fit in to 40.5. Thats how I got 1😅
He already answered 60% out of 20 questions right. That means he answered 12 out of 20 correctly. He needs 42 right answers in order to get 70%. Hence, he has to correctly answer 30 out the remaining 40 to get a 70%. Thus, he needs to correctly answer 75% of the remaining questions.

My brain said 10% before the mind kicked in.
In the first puzzle you "see" the pattern of the number 8, but I can "see" another pattern: The odd numbers descending on the column side: 11, 9 and 7 and, for that pattern, we also have an answer: 3. It depends on the interpretation of the pattern you see.

D) 75% is the answer. 70% of 60 is 42. Thus, 60% of 20 is 12. 42 - 12 is 30. 30 out of 40 is 75%.
I mean thats really nice, but i cant solve this in 15 seconds.
@@Studtgart Everything is possible.
I'm not sure I agree with the "which item doesn't belong to the group?" question. Answer C makes more sense to me in that it is the only square where the triangle is at the bottom and the circle is at the top. All the other squares have the triangles at the top and the circle at the bottom. Just a thought.
Also, choice “B” is the only one without a white triangle. Or choice “C” is the only one without a black triangle. All these answers are equally valid. There are at least FOUR questions in this video that have serious errors in their construction.
thank youu so much❤
great video
for the seconds...you associated a clock in the illustration so it must be seconds referring to the clock not the seconds of the month. If a calendar was use as an illustration then it will be seconds day of the month.
yeah that was a pretty backwards "hint". Both "seconds" are spelled the same, so using a clock, I'd assume you're talking about time, not days of the month.

This question are very interesting 🖖🏻
in the first example i looked for the colours. There is a Pattern in green starting from the top which doubles in each row.. purple, where the number is raised by one in each row and blue where the number falls from 5 to three by 2 so the ? should be 1 in this logic
29:25
Yes we can
I got the answer of 27
As the difference between the last box number and sum of first two boxes of first row is *6*
Similarly difference between the last box of second row and sum of first two boxes is *11*
So following a quadratic sequence,
The difference between the last box and the sum of first two boxes of the last row should be *18*
So to find the missing number of last box of third row add : 5+4+18 = *27*
Hence answer is : *(C) 27*

For the "which item doesn't belong" question at 32:30, I argue that the correct answer is "C". It has the triangle at the bottom, whereas all the others have the triangle(s) at the top.

not really. if you were to rotate C to the left, the triangle would be at the top and D would still be the odd one out.

Woow you are genius thanks so much my interview is currented 💯
The simplest way to solve this without much calculation is to say “he is already behind on answering correctly (with only 60% correct so far) so with the remaining he has to score better than his end goal hence 75% is the only option”
we have 2 different projects. 8 hours = 100% and 12 hours = 100% ( I mean that the second project was not increased by 4 hours) THey have diff 1/3 or 33%
the question at *19:24* can be solved by assuming the shapes as alphabets as the shapes represents in the question *LOAD DLOA ADLO* and the answer is *C)OADL*
That kind of jumped out at me, too.
Thank you sir
Nice thanks .
I got almost every question correct, but when and where are these types of tests ever given? And how does a good test score determine your placement in the real world/jobs because I work at a dollar store and don't even have a GED I can't ever afford college anyways so who cares how intelligent I am, sure wish I could take a simple test such as this to land a better job that would suit my abilities
Awk sorry to hear that and youre right intelligence is not important i myself dont know anything ❤️🥺
These are very typical questions on job assessment tests. Yes, this matrix is often so non-sensical and unfair.
Given that you did so well, I would strongly encourage you to study for, and take, the GED exam. That might qualify you for some jobs that require a high school diploma. I would then encourage you to look into community colleges nearby. It might well be that you could take a test such as this, or some type of entrance exam for placement, as well as qualify for economic aid to attend classes for a 2 year degree. You are obviously very intelligent. Working towards earning a better living, while meeting intellectual challenges you are probably not exposed to currently, will only enrich your life. I totally agree with you that intelligence is not, and should not, be determined based on certain criteria. In fact, there are a number of different types of intelligence. Also, a college degree does not always say anything about innate intelligence, which you do have. It would be work, and difficult at times, just because of time constraints and personal restraints. However, you really sound like a person who would benefit from the challenge, as well as being one that has a lot to offer the rest of us.

Hi, looking at the last exercise with 2 squares and 4 numbers per square, the problem is finding the missing number for the inner square: if you sum 15+22=37, let's look to the opposite corner: 5+32=37. now lets find a pattern for the following corners: 13+11=24, now lets look at the missing number on the opposite corner: 23+1=24. So we found a pattern and the solution is 1.
Congratulations to myself. All of questions are easy for me. )) :D

Question on 38:13 can also be solved by
Adding up diagnols
15+22=37
32+3=37
Then
11+13=24
23+?=24
?=1
I thought exactly the same way.
the final question i answered correctly, but came up with my answer a different way. I looked at the amounts diagonally. 15+22=37 37-5 =32 so i did the same thing on the other side. 11+13=24 24- ?=23 so 24-1=23 . therefore my answer was 1
Thanks Pamela! Really appreciate you for sharing the alternative way!

I also got the same answer but n a different way I did 15-11 = 4 then 32-23= 9 . Then looked for the same pattern within the small square 22-13=9 then 5-?=4 the only number that could make this true would be 1 lol I think my method might’ve been a bit strange
I came up with another way difference between 15 and 23 is 8 and 5 & 13 is also 8… similarly difference between 23 & 32 is 9 and 13 & 22 is also 9.. so when difference between 11 and 15 is 5 we have to find a number whose difference to 5 is 4 and hence answer is 1.
I found 1 this way as well !
Are these tests similar to philip morris assesment tests?
