Characters and skins I would like to see: - Blue Toad (and the other colours) - Goomba - Gooigi - Nabbit - Hammer Bro (with variants) I think we'll get at least 48 characters since it's 24 in a race and would like basically all the ones we have to return, but I'd be happy to wait for guest characters to come in dlc like the wii U had
My disagreements: I really don't need all the characters returning. Having a base of recurring characters and some new characters for MK9 would be fine. I liked Rob as well, but only because he was good. I reaaaally don't miss Rob for other games. Furthermore, I don't really care about characters and I don't want the devs to spend a lot of energy on adding characters instead of makin the other parts of the game great. Anti-gravity is interesting and fine. It adds another play style, requiring new skills. I like the idea of different vehicles, but I think it's hard to not just make something be "the best". The bikes were obviously best, making every player and their grandma run it. Open world mario kart could work, but you're not looking towards the right game for a successful implementation. Forza is the real open world racing game with a huge map which narrows down to circuits when certain locations are reached. Not saying it would be a good approach for mario kart, but it's very different from diddy kong racing.
Forza isn’t really an open world game though in the sense that you would imagine, but I guesss that could work (Just feels like an extremely large hub world to me rather than an actual world). I know it might be hard to balance different vehicle types but you could argue that’s a problem with every single competitive game ever made. Anti gravity I feel adds nothing other than layout aesthetics at the end of the day and doesn’t do much to really switch up the actual gameplay. And on the point of characters it doesn’t have to be the same roster, but whatever roster they go with has to at least be as big as the last game.
Omg please, NO INGAME SHOP!!! That would literally be a reason to not buy the game at all!!! I'm all for adding alternate costumes for the characters, but you should be able to unlock them (only) by gameplay progression, not just paying more actual money for them.
@@gibbings5534 he literally said more dlc. If you have to buy some type of gems to purchase the skins in the in-game-shop or if you buy the skins from the e-shop doesn't metter. It's still micro-transaction shit. If you want an example on how they work check monster hunter rise and his cosmetics
I actually said both. Not all micro transactions are bad. You paid for micro transactions when you all bought the DLC on the Wii U version (Which is where Shy Guy, Yoshi, and Birdo got their color options), and the booster course pass for Deluxe is in fact also a microtransaction with actual characters locked behind it rather than just costumes. It’s not preventing you from enjoying the game if a costume is purchasable in the eshop. To me that’s just silly
I get wanting to see all the characters return, but expecting there will be more or equal to 96 tracks is insane. We can clearly see they are making major changes to the formula: much much larger tracks and 24 racers. I’m not even sure how retro tracks would work, since I don’t think a simple face lift would make them fit into the game. I’ve heard some people suggest there being a 12 player mode where retro tracks could be played, but it just sounds so in-cohesive. I think 48 completely brand new courses is a possibility for this game.
I disagree with that entire notion actually. We barely saw any of the track shown so there’s no way to tell if they’re that much bigger or not. The way of making retro tracks work is going for some that aren’t in 8 deluxe already. And I’m sorry to say but sequels are supposed to be better and bigger than the previous games. If this game had less content than 8 deluxe people are just going to play 8 deluxe. That’s why games like Smash Ultimate had to really go above and beyond with content to prove to the average person that it’s not just Smash 4 again
@@BloodyBook It’s true that we don’t really know anything about the game, so the idea that every track is going to be massive is more just speculation. However, this track really does look massive, but maybe the course is just one lap. On the note of Smash ultimate: I feel like 8 deluxe was that game. When people discuss where Smash goes from here, most of them don’t expect the game to get even bigger. How do you outdo a game with so much content? You do a soft reboot of the series. The art style shift seems like a signifier of that. 96 is an absurd amount of tracks, especially if they decide to not reuse a ton from 8. That would be more lame for a sequel to just give us the same tracks. A smaller sequel can definitely get by if they provide new, experimental experiences.
@@Diego_S822 so long as the tracks themselves are on the same quality and amount from the base game of 8 Deluxe before the DLC. I will be okay with them slimming it down a bit.
If antigravity returns, it would only be for the Wii U/Switch circuits, the circuits that already had antigravity adaptation will no longer have it, or they just won't add any MK8 circuit, or at least that's what I want to think, I really like antigravity, but I don't see it returning in this game.
Zelda could also totally accompany link. But i need my male villager to be back he's the best. They could do away with the koopalings who even uses them lets be real
I think many people gonna hate on the battle pass idea but they did sign up for a booster course pass which is the exact same morally. I see no difference, let there be a shop and a battle pass for all I care lmao
Anti Gravity has to come back if they want to bring back 8's courses, it would be practically impossible to redisign most of them to work without
Focus on bringing back courses that weren’t in deluxe and you’ll be good
I love ROB! I hope honey queen, chain chomp especially, goomba, and the regular piranha plant
Come back

I need TINY KONG to comeback and be a playable character 🤞🏻
That would be funny to see but lemme give you one even better. Lanky Kong
@BloodyBook Nah I prefer Tiny Kong, she is iconic 😎
0:50 you mean stack up?
both lol
1:21 Captain Toad is from Galaxy.
That’s a cop out lol. I would consider him a variation of a character from previous games. (Even though I love em)
