I love that you use beeswax candles since I am a beekeeper. Did you know that when you burn beeswax, you are actually cleansing the air? When burning, beeswax gives off negative ions that attach themselves to pollen, dust, allergens, etc., causing the "nasties" to fall to the floor. When you vacuum, the "nasties" are vacuumed up, giving you a cleaner, healthier environment. Yes! to beeswax candles!
I love watching you; your demeanor is so soothing and elegant. I didn't realize you'd been in a bad accident; your endorsement of the Marlow pillows is all the more special, knowing that. Thank you.
I had to laugh 😂 cuz the way you handled the quilt fail was amazing. "Ok..I don't want to talk about it anymore!" I love the actual white quilt. So comfy looking! $12 what an amazing steal too! I LOVE your channel. I always learn so much & you truly inspire us! You have such a calming sweet nature! 💕🤗
It's always wonderful when you share your successes as well as disappointments. It helps novices like myself feel free to keep on trying. Bless you and your family, God is so good!
Sweet video. We have all had our diy flops, or rough starts, to a project that is later a success after a bit of rethinking. It is nice to know even the "experts," like yourself hit some rough patches in their creative endeavors! And you are so humble, as to share them. Sweet Sarah.
Sarah, I thought the bedspread was pretty. I think you should finish it then add some acorns in random and spaced places. Even if you only do it to complete it. Wash it so the paint fades before setting it with heat. My grandma always said it’s not ruined, it’s just different then you expected. She taught all of her 5 daughters to sew and all the granddaughter who wanted too. All 4 of my sister and I make quilts and other handmade items for our homes. We live by grandmas mantra “ it isn’t ruined, it’s different”.
Everything looks beautiful. My son and I did potato printing to make homemade wrapping paper when he was young. You're brave to try it on a quilt. Lol. Also, to make the books look aged, you could coffee dye the edge of the pages. A water pillow is the best I've ever slept on. I hope you continue to have good results with the Marlow. It sounds nice.
Glad you let us see that not all of your projects turn out as planned and yes, it’s frustrating too. I can certainly emphasize as we’ve all been there. Thanks…
I’ve worked for Target for 18 years. Target’s salvaged items and discontinued clearance items that aren’t sold are sent to Goodwill. I love to thrift and it’s funny that Goodwill sometimes asks more for the item than Target’s last marked clearance price. I’ve been enjoying your videos. 🤗 Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🍁
3 things: 1. I also was in a car accident 30+ yrs ago, the right pillow is everything! 2. I loved a DI store in Federal Way, don’t know if they are still there, not convenient for me to shop there now, my county does not have one. 3. You not crushing your eyelashes was hilarious! Thanks for sharing.
Potatoes are notorious for being harder and "looser" for a project like this. Use a piece of rubber and carve your own stencil. You can buy large sheets of rubber (looks just like the pink school erasers). Very easy to work with this way. The quilt is so beautiful!
Water pillows are really good for neck injuries. I had a bad car accident in 2009 and I can only use a water pillow. I have tried the normal stuffed combo water pillow and I have tried the gel /water pillow combo. I prefer the normal stuffing combo with the water. Usually sold at places where they sell personal assistive devices like walkers, canes, bed rails (atleast in Canada).
I love that you share both your successes and "oops". What if you use the first block application of oak leaves as a shadow print to put other oak elements over? Maybe a group of acorns that are bolder shades? Thanks for the book tip.
Appreciate seeing your struggles. Real life! Do you think varying the direction of the leaf would have made a difference? Or stamping over it again so the beige reads as a shadow under a green or darker color? Will wait to see what becomes of this in the future!
Hi Sarah! Hope you and your fam are feeling better. I got my binder the day before Thanksgiving. And it is a lovely sight to behold! Good luck with the coverlet idea 2.0. I’m certain you won’t just toss it out. ❤
I just love all your videos! And most of all I love your style!🤗 I loved when you were going with the quilt. I think you should paint the green leaves and acorn over the brown leaves that you have already done and maybe not an every square but every other. Thank you for sharing your talent! You’re such an inspiration!🌾🍁🌻
I'm so sorry that your project didn't turn out as you had envisioned - that's always a bit disappointing, but it's a learning experience too! Your bedroom looks so cozy and welcoming - a lovely retreat for fall!
Thank you Sarah for the discount on the Marlow pillow. I struggle with restful sleep and this is an option I will try. I marvel at your honesty with the block design that wasn’t what you had envisioned. Love 💕 your bedroom decor and mantle design! Keep inspiring us! See you at class, Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving 🙏🏽 Warmly, Rose 🌹 mary
I recently purchased a print from Goodwill but hated the mat; thanks for the idea of painting it!!! Your beadroom looks so cozy! Happy Thanksgiving! XO
Thank you for sharing all the good and bad. It refreshing to see that I’m not the only one that is frustrated with a project.. I never thought of block printing going to check it out.. Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 have a blessed day
Love your channel. Just thinking, I know it's not going to fix anything, but what if you painted over the leaves in a white that matches your quilt just so they are not as noticeable?
The bedroom looks beautiful! I appreciate your honesty in sharing the ideas that haven’t turned out as hoped! A very Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! Many blessings!
So pretty. Love natural beeswax... appreciate your transparency when crafts go awry.... Your decor style is so pretty. Had to laugh about the lashes.. When I had them.. I always slept w my hand propped on my cheek to avoid crushing the lashes😊... The things we endure for beauty lol 😂. By the way, your slacks w the side bow... Is that a scarf? So classy .
I have some problem with my neck to and i can’t seem to find the writhed pillow please give me your review when you try your new pillow i will really appreciate it thanks for your video and your kindness 😊
I thought your quilt looked so pretty and perfect for Fall. 🍂 Thank you for being such an inspiration and a very good teacher to so many. Have a blessed Thanksgiving to you and your family. 🧡🦃
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family ! Maybe one day you will look into table decorations, festive set-ups, I would love to have your eyes on that ! (Christmas table ?)
Hello! Would you mind sharing what size boxspring you have and mattress? I'm looking for the same type of bed frame but also want the same elevated look yours has.
I understand your pillow dilemma. I have had three spinal surgeries including my neck. I wore out my perfect pillow and haven't been able to replace it because it is no longer made. I might consider these. It's hard to explain to someone who doesn't have hardware how difficult sleeping is. Also, in regards to your crooked candle Leamans a store that supplies the Amish makes something called candle putty. I have had the same tin of it for years. Holds them in place very well.
Sprayed "sugar bush" branches one year with their fall buds and leaves while they were still pliable to cut and formed them into a large wreath, a smaller wreath and swags ( years ago) tied on a beautiful bow and that was all some of them need, (gave some as gifts...to suit each one's style preferences....some had a little extra on them...ie. Today they call it "glam" ) but anyway... The bush is still alive...ha, ha....after 46 years of us living here... Ha, Ha... and it was fun ...very inexpensive ...you just have to do it about three weeks before CHRISTmas so the smell of the paint goes away ...provide a good sturdy. Wire Loop to hang them by....have fun
I really loved that you showed what did not really work out. Few people do. So now more stamping to the rescue over each leaf or applique a leaf cut out of fabric over each stamp. Think Bob Ross...happy accidents.
Can you please tell me the paint color of your fireplace. Also the color you ended up painting the mats on your prints. I never thought of painting them before. Thank you! Have a wonderful thanksgiving!!!!
So sorry you weren't happy with your project. Sarah, can you remind us the name of the paint color on your bedroom mantle please? Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! 💝
I volunteer at our local library, where we have quarterly book sales. All hardbacks are $1. We have so many donated that were read 1x or never, and are in perfect condition.
Everyone's doing the same thing with the candle holders , beeswax candles, etc.....Isn't there anyone anymore who thinks out of the box and just decorates their home.....? I love alot of it ...the decorating and all, but when you hit the older years, I'm 79, and the money is just not there for extras....not even for DIY paints, Goodwill, etc. etc. You use what you have
I really love your channel and your content. But the editing of the videos I cannot watch. I'm sorry. There are way too many cuts. If you can't film the scene seamlessly then I think you should reshoot it because it is very distracting.
I am not really liking how your weekly blogs have become so commercial. I starting following you because you were so grassroots and the focus was helping us DIYers with improving our homes. Now you focus seems to be promoting products.
I understand, I do want you to know that I am offered about 5 products a day to promote and I only choose one per month. This is my full time job and taking one sponsored job a month allows me to give away free content to viewers.

Thank you. I don't burn candles because of the health effects and I have pets. This is so good to know.
I love “My Pillow” wash and fluff in the dryer❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Failures are just opportunities for future successes! Your bedroom is beautiful!

I love the green dresser, that shade of green and mustard yellow have my heart!
I would go over it with your green idea. The overlay may be beautiful.

LOVE block printed fabrics. I’m a huge fan of Jenny Steffens hobrick prints. I often buy her fabric and turn them into my own creations

It always made me sad to see someone's book they wrote and put so much into, end up in the dollor tree for a buck.
Always love your ideas and honesty.
can you stamp over it with various fall leaf colors to brighten it up.
I thought your quilt looked so pretty and perfect for Fall. 🍂

Hello! Would you mind sharing what size boxspring you have and mattress? I'm looking for the same type of bed frame but also want the same elevated look yours has.
Its just a queen size one.

The Mantle is Sherwin Williams Analytical Grey (SW7051)!
So sorry you weren't happy with your project. Sarah, can you remind us the name of the paint color on your bedroom mantle please? Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! 💝
Sorry for the delay : Sherwin Williams Analytical Grey (SW7051)!
I volunteer at our local library, where we have quarterly book sales. All hardbacks are $1. We have so many donated that were read 1x or never, and are in perfect condition.
What a great deal!
It was sprayed thoroughly with the gold paint, not showing any green of the leaves, brown- green of the branches or creamy - rose of the buds
My husband snored like a freight train until……we went on a low carb diet! Now, I have to touch him sometimes to make sure he is breathing!
Cutie
Well I think you did a good job! Happy thanksgiving to you and your family….
Ok thank you video gets louder
I don't think I could sleep with the feeling of the zipper! I sleep with my hands around my pillow! Has anyone said anything about that!
Everyone's doing the same thing with the candle holders , beeswax candles, etc.....Isn't there anyone anymore who thinks out of the box and just decorates their home.....? not my goodwills. we have 4 . nothing from Target.
Can hardly hear you 🤔
So sorry, we ended up getting a new mic shortly after this.
They only downside of the Marlow pillow is that you cant wash them.
Background music is loud and distracting…😊but I did like the video!
It was only $12. It’s ok.
The Indians always let one part of their work be different (incomplete. Or overdone) with a mistake, because they say only God is perfect!
Audio is weird
Yes, we have since replaced the mic, my apologies.
Am I the only one or getting her voice in this video. Just music.
I could hear nothing but music on most of this video. Your voice once in a while popped in. Is it only me or did you have audio problems?
I really love your channel and your content. But the editing of the videos I cannot watch. I'm sorry. There are way too many cuts. If you can't film the scene seamlessly then I think you should reshoot it because it is very distracting.
I understand
Ok voice went back out giving up

Omg, the audio is killing me. Why?!
oh, I needed both headphones to hear you in my right ear.
