This math totally checks out! It's the same method I use to calculate how big trout are. Like I always say... "never head into the backcountry without a calculator " Great video!
Enjoyed this video! It is cool to see what you can get done with a winch! I also enjoyed how you added the calculations to your video. That will save some contractor fees!
I forgot... I did use my winch to fell a 70 foot pine tree in my neighbor's yard this summer. Worked like a charm. It fell in the exact location I wanted it to!
Your humor in each video, but in particular this one…was really good. 😂😂😂 loved all the math in the intro…was dying laughing at what the contractors use. My brother owns a landscape company so I’ll be sure to share this with him. 👍🏻
Secured my front yard pine before felling… used it to pull down the scary leaning bits. Worked like a charm! I’d strongly consider a winch with hitch mount for my runner one day… and a front hitch… I’d like a plow vehicle in winter and which point in summer :) cheers!
Factoid for the day: The reference to Archimedes is on point for the double-line winch pull you did. In addition to the many mathematical accomplishments of Archimedes, he also designed some innovative machines using compound pulleys! So, your double-line pull using a pulley for mechanical advantage is something Archimedes would have liked.
If you ever get bored, I have my cabin in the Canadian Rockies that need landscaping👌😉! In all seriousness, it is a great idea if you have a need to remove a heavy object in the yard or acreage and don't have machinery on hand. Great tips as always👍. Have a great week!

I've used the equation to calculate fish too. It must be accurate because according to the equation, I've never caught a trout under 16 inches ha ha!

Thanks! I think there is a lot of untapped potential for winches! Cheers!
I haven't seen this before, but why not? You gotta do what you gotta do. You lost me on the formula but stayed for the excellent presentation 😆
Yeah, it would not have been my first thought on how to move boulders....but hey, it worked!
That's cool .. I've never understood wanting huge boulders in your yard. lol
Thanks for the video 👍👍👍
It was interesting and fun to winch the boulder. Thanks for the comment!
Enjoyed the "maths" refresher almost as much as the seeing a different and practical application for the 4Runner.
Ha ha...the "math" part was fun!

I've seen a couple UA-cam videos of that. Seems like a neat trick!

That was definitely a fun video to make glad someone else enjoys a little math humor now and then ha ha!

Oh smart to use the winch felling a tree! I like the idea of a hitch-mount winch as well.
Loved the video and it looked like fun! Also loved the "nonsense". 🙂
Thanks! It was a fun one!

👍
This vide Rocks! Thanks for the formulas.
The math formulas are essential for sure ha ha!
I need to do almost this exact thing. Thanks for the video
It was not what I bought the winch for but was turned out to be a fun project.
That was epic guys! Thank you!
👍
Great idea!
Thanks!
Funny stuff mate. Cheers Steve
Big thanks for the comment!
Nice content my friend. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks and welcome!
Hey, Sent by Eat Carbs Outdoors! Great video my friend. Hi Steve, you still need to be careful around your brother….wear a Hardhat….lol…great job!
Thanks! Just watched your garden extension project video and subbed to your channel. Thanks for checking my channel out!

Thanks! I really liked the bear in your last video!
That’s a very nice neighborhood
Thanks. Yeah there are a few landscaping boulders around here. So, I might need to start a side business ha ha!
Jon actually lives in a van down by the river 😂
@@aired-downoverland9239 that’s funny is that when his wife kicks him out after spending too much 😁
@@sheerwillsurvival2064 Haaa!
Well...the van was stolen so now I am homeless. I'll be moving in with Steve!
That rock didn't stand a chance. Yeah, most contractors I run into on a weekly basis know all about Archimedes.
Ha ha thanks for watching!
Useful 👌🏼
Thank you.
Good work
Be honest, what was more fun - dragging the boulder or driving on the perfect lawn?
Best question ever asked! Answer: driving on the perfect lawn ha ha!
Ni Hao! I'm alluded. Watch till the end surprise. Strong audiences! See you again friend!
Thanks.
“I can just do that one in my head” 😂
It was definitely a fun way to use my winch ... and the math was good fun ha ha!
It was an interesting video👌
Thanks!
I mainly use my hi-lift jack for removing rhoedodeondreon roots. I carry it on my truck so it doesn't sit in my garage. 😂
Ha ha...thanks for watching!!
You really should rename to Overland Pacific Landscaping! LOL
Ha ha great idea! I could start a landscaping business!
What was brushguard?
CBI Offroad front bumper. Cheers.
What are the specs of the winch?
The winch on my rig is a Warn Zeon 10-S.
Came over from @EatCrbsoutdoors.
Awesome and thanks for coming over! I just watched your Big South Fork scouting video and subbed.
