- Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League was revealed almost 3 years ago, and ever since then, Rocksteady has faced a ton of backlash for their game and many people are worried that the game will be a flop. Well, I'm here to tell you that I believe Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League will NOT flop despite it's red flags, and will be remembered as a good game that was a lot of fun.

I disagree with my main point: KILL THE JUSTICE LEAGUE. They're going to destroy everything they created with the Arkham series just to create a terrible live service game, all the live service games so far have poor gameplay, it's going to be bad and that's it, there's no point in defending

To extend on the first complaint, I think a lot of people were also disappointed that the Squad didn't seem more different from each other gameplay-wise (especially with how long it took for them to reveal gameplay at all). Rather than Deadshot being the dedicated shooter, they're all just different kinds of shooters.
The story makes it excusable with the city being overrun, sure, but it definitely hurt perception for the game.
True, but I don't know what everyone was hoping for considering it's a third person shooter. Movement, abilities, and melee all appear to be vastly unique for each character. Deadshot could be the only dedicated sniper though because I don't think anyone but him ever used a sniper rifle in the trailers so that's a good sign
There's also the fact that every dlc character will play the same, which will be a huge problem. Like if we get characters like Killer Frost and Bronze Tiger, we're supposed to accept they carry guns now? I'm not sure about that.

@@Knerdd Yeah, I bring it up mostly as a marketing flub, since it's an expectation they should've been managing from the start. It's a problem for a lot of studios/games, so it's hardly exclusive to Suicide Squad. The longer you take to show people your actual game after the announcement, the more time they have to imagine up an ideal that may eventually cause them to disappoint themselves.

I disagree with you on the main story. In fact, I'm much concerned about the story than the gameplay because it could potentially be disrespectful to the Batman Arkham Series. The first example is that the Deadshot we knew from Origins and City was an imposter and this Deadshot is the real one. This is a problem because Batman should've discovered that fake Deadshot isn't Floyd Lawton since he is master detective. So this retcon is so stupid and Batman's now an idiot because of it. But what I see as the biggest red flag is that Batman is coming out of hiding after he faked his death in Arkham Knight and he's now being mind controlled by Brainiac. I hate this direction because it just invalidates Bruce's psychological struggle with the Joker. Throughout Arkham Knight, Joker was slowly taking over Batman's mind and tries to push him into killing people. But Bruce was able to find the strength to overpower Joker and locks him away forever. That was a great conflict for Batman's final game and it's even more impactful that he made the world think he's dead so Gotham will be save. So when I saw that reveal trailer of Batman with purple eyes, I became very worried and we didn't even knew the game would be live service yet. So there's not just the concern of SS: KTJL being another Avengers. There's also that it could be another The Last of Us Part 2 and spat in the face of the Arkhamverse.......I highly doubt Rocksteady wanted any of this.
It will also have bossfights like the last of us' Ellie vs Abby
The gameplay looks the same as arkham knight looks like they just added on alot to it such as actually getting to shoot ur guns in third person and better traversal

It's already a flop. The gameplay and gameplay footage has absolutely shown us it will becoming boring within a week. Cutscenes wont save it

My problem with online service games isn't the skins or the battlepass. It's the always online requirement part of it. It's the part where I pay $70 for a game that's dead as soon as they shut the servers down.
20 years from now if I want to play Arkham Asylum or Arkham City I can do that.
Hopefully I'm wrong and the game isn't always online.
Well, the game is out. The bad news is that it IS online only, even in single player, so if you can't connect to the servers the game becomes literally unplayable. The good news is that the game is so tediously boring and bad that not being able to play the game might be a blessing in disguise.

This game is questionable coming from Rocksteady!! Why don’t they just make another Batman game they had a good formula going just stick with it! I’m not waiting another 4 years for another Batman game.
Kevin Conroy, the voice of Batman for more than 20 years, passed away on November 10th of last year. The original devs behind the Arkham games aren't involved with this game, and this is supposed to be his send-off game. It's either going to be really good and successful or a greed-induced flop whilst simultaneously disrespecting the legacy of a legendary actor who had nothing but passion for his character.

I think you dont get the point why we‘re all complaining. Shooting will be like 60% of the game and shooting glowing weak points and fighting silly pink creatures all the time looks terrible and doesnt feel fun for a lot of people. It looks more like fortnite than like a hero/villain game
The story indeed looks very good, cutscenes as well and even the characters look very well made.
But this doesnt change the fact that the enemies you will fight for 60% of the game look terrible, made for some kids and not for the audience that wanted a game like that.
The enemies, the tanks and machines i have to fight against while flying jumping arround and shooting glowing bubbles definitely break the game for me and make me not wanna play it
I'm not denying this game has some merit to it, but who likes the Suicide Squad enough to play as them while killing the Justice League

I just think this game would've done so well if you kept the premise of the game. Take out the suicide squad, and replace them with batman and possibly the bat family. Batman taking down the justice league. Batman on the grandest scale.

Currently going on my Arkham binge. Origins, Origin’s Blackgate, Asylum, City, and Knight. Never did Arkham VR and would get it if it wasn’t VR. The thing killing me inside about SSKTJL is a required connection. I don’t really internet problems but like you mentioned, servers go down then all goes to shit.
I understand that there are some positives to it but to me it just looks like another Gotham Knight situation. A game with repetitive gameplay and 4 characters with minor tweaks to make them feel a bit different but pretty much the same overall. Sad thing is that is what people didn't want. They expected better from Rocksteady
Here's the thing about the game you do know you have to be connected to the internet at all times even during the single-player campaign that's a big fail right off the bat it makes literally no sense

After playing the game for a good bit I will say its pretty good, i enjoy playing it and its even better with friends and the story imo is pretty good especially if you include the Clone Theory, so it would make sense why they die so easily because they're not the actual members of the Justice League they're just nerfed clones

Like i said man let them cook then in February we will have a very good PvE Dc game which I have been pandering for since games like avengers and Gotham knights have released. With the suicide squad we can have characters like deathstroke peace maker bloodsport and maybe poke dot man 😂 this is easily a day 1 for me.
I don't have a problem with different versions of characters (like from different earths) being different races, but how are they going to explain Floyd Lawton Deadshot being a white dude in Arkham Origins (which takes place 15 years before this) and in Arkham City (which takes place 5-6 years before this)? This game is in the same universe as the Arkham games, it takes place 5 years after Arkham Knight, so how are they going to explain it?
No amount of quality in the story can make up for unengaging gameplay. It looks very run, point, and shoot at non reactive enemies in contrast to something like Halo or even Call of Duty. I hate Destiny for this reason. I suspect this will be a game I play only once but we shall see

@@Pointman11111 “All” the gameplay will be? No. I think very highly of Rocksteady and would be surprised if the game we get was ever going to be what we see in the trailers the whole time. We now have revisions being made as well. But I think that what I described is a defensible description of what we’ve been shown in terms of core gameplay. It looks like at least wide parts will be a drag. Spongey, mostly life-less Braniac-controlled enemies (a huge problem for Halo 4/5’s Prometheans) with encounters that don’t seem to encourage creativity via dynamic enemy behavior and environments (Halo has always done this well)
It could be the equivalent of if they marketed Arkham Knight by showing only batmobile gameplay despite the game offering so much more, but we will see

Honestly the only thing that really frustrates me is the online only element of the game I have a decent connection but every now and then it goes out and I would appreciate if they remove that feature from being forced into the game if they can
Really the only worry I have for this game is the open world. With it being a live service game, I’m worried they won’t have an actually open world like the Arkham games. It could end up being like the avengers game where you have a small hub world and get to explore the actual world more only during missions. I don’t really see rocksteady doing that though, but it’s still a fear I have
Pretty sure that it is a genuine open world. I don't think they would go all out on traversal abilities, just to have such a small area to use them in.

the game is a mix of fortnite, warframe and the avengers. it might succeed with players who have never heard of batman, but it will fail with the rest of dc fans

The GAMEPLAY (not the entire game) shouldn't be compared to the Arkham series because they're COMPLETELY different systems. Doesn't matter if they're set in the same universe storywise because that has nothing to do with gameplay differences

Problem is if it’s gameplay, art style and story tone have absolutely nothing resembling Arkham then connecting the new game to it comes across as a cynical attempt to exploit the popularity of the Arkham series.
Especially since it is very clear that Arkham Knight was intended to be the end of the story. It will require shoehorning some BS excuse to make it fit into the Arkham setting which will almost certainly cheapen and or retcon the ending of Arkham Knight.
Honestly, I just want a good successor to Arkham Knight 👍🏽
As someone who doesn’t like the suicide squad as a concept, I am not excited. I’ve never really enjoyed them. But I hope the game will change that!

I hope we get to play as the non mind controlled Justice League members like Wonder Woman, Flash before he gets mind controlled, Superman and Batman and Green Lantern after they get freed from the mind control, etc. Also we had better not beat characters like Superman or Batman, even if we do get their health bar down to zero on a boss fight the cut scene after that should be them beating us and us having to flee
It looked a lot like "game as a service" "always online" kinda game, looter shooter, microtransactions, etc.

@@nemesisprime4501those games didn't fail specifically because they got delayed though. Plenty of games have gotten delayed in the last few years and some have still achieved success. I don't see how delaying the game to address issues that the community didn't like is somehow going to be a bad thing

I doubt it'll be a huge hit, probably as mid as they come live service wise. This is a game that didnt need to be a live service, or need a battle pass. Itd if been better served as a story focused game that allows fhe characters to fight in ways that conpliment their actual personality. Captain B shoul only fight with boomerange, not guns! King shark should brawl it up constantly, Harley and Deadshot are fine uaing guns though...
Let's hope we get characters like Deathstroke, Black Spider, Killer Frost, Bane, etc. in post launch content.

This game is the final goodbye to the greatest Batman voice who ever lived, and although its disappointing that It's not in a Batman game I really hope the game itself isn't a failure.

Regarding boss fights, I really hope it's not just boss fights. I hope they build "levels" ("entire segments of gameplay" because it's in an open world) that are unique to defeating each jl member. If you don't feel how difficult it is to defeat them, they won't live up to the Justice League's expectations and that will only be disappointing.
The game has too many red flags now, bc why has it been delayed so many times? That’s never good for a game, very rare when a game is going through a delay, that the team is ACTUALLY working on bettering the game

Yeah Arkham knight did have shooting mechanics but it was arguably one of the biggest critiques of that game making a game about “unique individual superhero experiences” and then just giving them a bunch of guns that are basically the same is super lame I mean wtf might as well just play Fortnite and then use skins
My favorite superhero games are Arkham Knight and Spider Man PS4 so I hope Suicide Squad KTJL and Spider Man 2 PS5 will complement each other as they did.
playing as harley quinn does look fun shooting and slinging arround and hammering some fools king shark may be hit or miss if he will basically play as hulk from the avengers game deadshot is probably going to be easy mode and captain boomarang will probably never be played because its captain boomerang and teleport movement doesnt seem fitting for him but what else could they have given a damn ausie with a boomerang instead of more boomerangs i also hope we get some form of free cosmetics because paying for drip in a game i payed 60 to 100 euros or dollars for these days don't feel right they are always online and cant be played in a offline singleplayer only mode so the online part will definitely be it's downfall also i hope they will not add a shit version of a battlepass looking at you blizzard and go the halo infinite route so your'e able to go back to last seasons pass and still unlock rewards because the way these battlepasses work makes you grind out the whole pass and not leave any time to go play something else
I just hope they give us some hot outfits for Harley.
