I do I commented a whole paragraph about the grapple boost theory. It’s simple but really shows how Batman grows as a fighter but with the exception of loosing some speed when gliding
Do you know what does not make sense? How do batman does not know joker's real name while in gotham he was an enemy of bruce wayne as a kid, Jeremiah fell in that toxin, that's how the joker was born
I have a minor theory that Batman baited the Joker into stabbing him at the end of city with Talia's death being the moment he realized the Joker is too dangerous to be kept alive.
@@jorgizoran4340 batman said that he would still have saved the joker, even everything he has done. And batman sworn not to kill, so he's not responsible of joker's death, Joker actually killed himself, and Harley Quinn is too dumb, bc when the joker infected kill themselves, Harley said batman kill him.
Scarecrow's face one is actually canon. Militia members talking confirm that what we see in AK is not a mask, but his face. Arkham City's mask is the old one, and an easter egg to tell that Scarecrow was still active, but is not his current "mask"
I also remember hearing that this is why his voice is changed so different between Asylum and Knight, due to the attack from Croc and having to have surgery.
I have a different theory about theory 1. Batman was dying so fast after being infected with Joker's blood, because Joker's blood was already infected with Titan for so long. So basically when Batman got Joker's blood, he got the desease in the last stage before death and not the first stages. Batman simply skipped ahead in the dying proces.
In the Batman VS Dracula movie, if I remember correctly, Batman gave Joker his blood to cure him. I know it’s a different universe but that means they have the same blood type in some universes
or Joker's Blood is just built different look at what his blood is able to do to other people he is not really human anymore the Ace chemicals accident changed his blood and his DNA he doesn’t even look humans his skin his hairs and his mind have been permanently affected so it's probably bc the joker is not a normal human
I feel like the one on Bruce not being mentally cured of Joker's blood is less of a theory and more just media literacy. One of the themes of the entire game is facing one's fears, and Bruce gets the majority of that himself. Joker constantly appearing rings in Bruce's fear of failure, his fear of his no killing rule being broken. His "defeat" of Joker is him finally overcoming that fear and acknowledging to himself that he couldn't do anything to save Joker.
I agree, but it also goes to show how lazy the writers were. It doesn’t make sense for batman to be the “last joker” out of the quarantined ones when the whole joker being in his head thing is caused by the fear toxin. Also, joker sent his blood to gotham in AC so that they would be POISONED, not turn into joker. All of the panessa studio jokers should’ve died as quickly as joker. Instead, they turned into him. It all comes down to being a plot error that has no explanation because it’s simply bad writing.
@@KANQQBatman says they’re all infected in some heavily mutated form of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. That doesn’t really give an excuse to why they’re all like that and not dead but it provides some type of explanation. We can assume Batman has the same disease from jokers blood and the fear gas helps the hallucinations take over his mind
Anddddd in the Batman ‘podcast’ (which is really a audiobook) the fear toxin makes Bruce believe he is that child who became a patient at Arkham if memory serves me correctly!
To add on to the last theory, the toxin makes Batman see more visions on billboards throughout the game that decontextualize their original meaning. One in particular shows Batman and Joker as the caption says “Never forget your first” with an image of Batman strangling Joker, showing that Batman truly does feel like he murdered Joker.
My theory I have is at the end of the game (AA) scarecrow, bane, and croc all grab a titan crate at the end clownpuncher already said why bane and crow are there but the way I see it croc tried using titan to cure himself thus making him grow a tail and him grow taller and amplified his cell regeneration witch is why his hand grew back
Yeah, in the dlc have a dialogue with the doc saying that. And latter Croc say the same thing "this doc make me suffer, he need suffer, he make me worse" and batman apologize Croc but say is not the correct kill everyone@@0biscrabbles
About theory 9, probably the biggest evidence debunking it is that after the whole Scarecrow situation is done and over with, Batman isn't acting like someone else, he's still himself. He does end up using the fear toxin to enforce safety in place of "Batman", but he's not directly becoming a nightmare creature himself. He simply elevates the legend of the Batman to that status at a cultural level, and even then only because his identity was revealed and this was his last resort. If he were to have become a fear of a fear, it would be reductive twice over. He wouldn't be acting like a personality, he would be acting like a monster. The effects of the toxin also aren't permanent. Here's a completely unrelated theory: Batman actually knew that he was going to get exposed as Bruce Wayne before the events of Knight ever even started. Evidence: The Knightfall Protocol that he used to fake his own death at the end of the game had to have been set up at some point prior to the events of the game, and Alfred was already aware of what it was. Batman might not have known exactly when the protocol would be needed, but he knew that he wouldn't be able to keep his identity as Bruce Wayne safe forever. During the events of the game, we see him actually consider Azriel's worthiness to take up the mantle instead of disregarding it from the start and when Cobblepot asks him about what his next superhero identity will be, Batman replies with a simple "You'll see". This suggests that he's well aware that the time he needs to fake his own death and reinvent the legend is close at hand and is increasingly decided that "tonight" is his last night as Batman as the story progresses. This is probably also why he chooses to accept his fate of getting exposed and allows his life as "Batman" to come to an end.
I dig the theory about Knightfall... Very well thought out BUT.... Aren't we told by Rocksteady that certain comic arcs are also cannon in the Arkham series? If that is indeed the case...the Knightfall Protocol was created long ago in the encounter with Bane. Specifically the Batman comic or arc "Knightfall" (not sure which exactly been a lil bit since readin it lol sorry) which focuses on how Bane broke Batman almost in half... The arc also goes into detail (if I'm not mistaking) of Bruce, while healing (and appointing the future Azrael as Batman) starts to discuss with Alfred the idea that becomes essentially the Knightfall Protocol (which I think has that name in comic as well) Could be mistaking or combining a few stories possibly but I'm almost sure that's right
@@Bad6uY0124According to an interview with a writer or somebody at Rocksteady than it seems different then what happened in Knightfall. In Knightfall Bruce is replaced as Batman by the guy who becomes the first major Azreal, like you mentioned. The person who was interviewed said it was still Bruce in the suit at the end of Arkham Knight. So while the name comes from that story arc, and possibly the event if it did happen in the Arkhamverse, it is a slightly different outcome.
Eh, the KF protocol is just batman having a contingency for literally everything. I also feel like Azrael is just getting tested for Bruce to see if he has what it takes, as an option, because again, Bruce has contingencies for his contingencies.
I like to combine Jenpachi's Anarky theory with Clownpuncher's that he has in the Iceberg with Anarky being the fear gas bomber, Jenpachi mentions that they found railings by following Anarky tags, and the thug in the diner is carving an A into the table, so my Frankentheory is that Knight was supposed to have a quest on finding the fear gas bomber. Batman would've noticed the A on the table, deduced Anarky or a supporter was the bomber, then follow the tags throughout Gotham to the railing where it would become Croc's sidequest or an actual storybeat, but due to time restraints, the mission was scrapped and Croc was to be pushed to DLC. The only real evidence I have for Croc being intended for base game is the Joker section having him in it with the extra mutated hand he has in Beneath the Surface
The amount of lore in these games is incredible. They are dripping with it. It’s always so fun to explore it and find cool easter eggs and come up with theories!
If you look at the Pregnancy test box in the main game, it's different from the box in the dlc. The one in the dlc says, "caution, tests may result in false positive" Since Paul Dini (the writer) left right before the dlc was written, I think it's clear that he intended to surprise us with a pregnant Harley Quinn, and the new writers said, "Nope... false positive"
There’s also other shit that happens to Harley off camera in Arkham City. Clearly she gets roughed up at one point when she’s tied to a pole in the Steel Mill. Joker is very physically abusive, I’m sure he could’ve had something to do with it.
I’ve my own little theory, about Jason killing Victor Zsasz when he went to capture Oracle at the Clock Tower, that would explain why we see him in that video of the security camara but we don’t hear anything related to him or one crime of his. I know his appearance is just an eater egg but I think it’s a cool closure for a character that appeared in Asylum and City with a significant roll.
Another idea for theory 6, Green eyes What if those conversations where people notice are just in his head. We already know that words and actions that happen in front of him can be all hallucination. Nothing can be trusted. So what if during his time around characters, he gets stuck in his head, spaces out and hears them commenting on that physical change and it just deepens the fear more and more
That definitely could've happened too! Plus Batman's green eyes are only mentioned by others in one scene and one scene only, meaning Batman would've only had to hallucinate one time for this theory to line up perfectly
@@Knerd_YT this theorie could be possible because Batman's hallucinations were strong enough to create uncanny vivid images of Jason Todd's torture moments. Not to mention two out of 3 jason todd sequences were un-recorded since there was no camera seen in the first two sequences. Which leads us to the next question, how did batman know exactly what Jason Todd and Joker were saying to each other if those moments went un-recorded??
Theory 3 is pretty interresting. Not just you fixed everyone's problem with the character-writing of Jason in this game, but also turned him from a Villain redeemed to Hero, to a interresting Anti-Villain instead! (An Anti-Villain for those who don't know, is the opposite of Anti-Hero. It have multiple meanings just like Anti-Hero, but the relevant one for this context is: An overall bad guy playing the role of a bad guy, but for an overall good or at least heroic objecttive, or somrthing that in his vision and through a moral vision, could be considered ultimately heroic or good willing at the end of the day. And in his vision, Batman wasn't a hero and Gotham needed brutality to keep peace, so it makes sense!)
I actually really liked all of these theories, but the one that stood out the most for me was theory number eight. I would love to see this theory as a non-Canon comic book it’s just so dark, but yet so good at the same time.
@@Knerd_YTI think theory six about the joker is in batman head still doesn't hold up, because we heard in the Arkham knight game files I think, that it was the joker who influence batman to upgrade the batmobile with weapons.
@@hamzahnurreez8420hallucination joker says to batman something along the lines of "look at all the guns on that thing! Its almost as if you had a mad clown telling you what to do", that doesnt mean joker DID influence him, it just means batman THINKS he did
The theory about Jason planning to replace Bruce also explains why the new vigilante in the ending video uses the fear gas. Which only Jason was willing to use.
@@darkmage9252Which comic are you referring to? I’m certain the ending is left ambiguous on purpose and there are no canon comics covering the aftermath of the game. The only proof we have of him being alive is the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League game (confirmed to be taking place 5 years after the events of Arkham Knight) showing Bruce as Batman in one of their trailers
@@ariarasavar8290 Batman #135. Also the Creative Director from Rocksteady, Sefton Hill confirmed that it is Bruce in the Batsuit at the end of the game where 2 thugs are attempting to rob a rich family
On Theory #9, the subtitles for Batman only without his mask reference him as “Bruce Wayne”. After he beats Joker in his head, it refers to him as only “Batman” in the subtitles, even without the mask.
@@Alejandro333777in the Lucious side mission where hush takes him hostage Batman will go to his office and hush demands for Wayne so he takes his mask off and says “take your best shot Tommy” if you don’t do that until finishing the game you could see if the subtitles change
Adding to the redhood theory, He would have teamed up with the bad guys for also learning their weaknesses too, they knew Arkham Knight, not Jason Todd so they'd be caught off guard by red hood knowing everything about them
Regarding Theory 9: Batman Zur En Arrh is a secondary personality that Bruce created in case his original personality is compromised. If the Joker's personality took control of Bruce's body and his greatest fear was Batman, it would be possible for Zur En Arrh to come into action, causing Bruce to completely lose his humanity. At the same time, Zur En Arrh is often depicted covered in fire, which is exactly what Scarecrow sees when he sees Batman at the end of the game - a Batman covered in fire.
I was almost certain this was the origin story of the Batman Who Laughs, but I suppose Zur En Arrh would be the next thing. Sadly, this means they have to kill him in order to prevent Zur En Arrh from destroying everything. May the Hood be saved from this burden should the moment arrive where he murders his father figure. At last, the moment he wanted, and it happens when he no longer intends to do it. What a dark karma to come to the Bat..
I haven't played AK in a long time, but I don't remember Scarecrow seeing the fire Batman just two random thugs and I think it even showed one of them reacting like something hit them shortly before Batman appeared. I might not be remembering the scene correctly.
I have an adjustment for Theory 6, especially when involving The Titan Formula. In AA, it is safe to assume that not one, not two but three Crates of Titan went unaccounted for on the island. One was secured by Bane, a Second one was secured by Killer Croc, and the other was secured by Scarecrow. In AC, Bane tasks Batman to help find the remaining canisters of Titan across the City. While Batman destroys his half, we know Bane had already collected his half. Batman however was nobody’s fool and figure out that Bane was trying to keep a hold of it due to addiction. Killer Croc, is more tragic. The crate Waylon Jones secured had a leak that was diluted in the water but enough to expose him to the Titan effects and by AK, that was when he became and looked more Monstrous. Sadly Batman didn’t know how exactly to help him. Now for Scarecrow, his crate of Titan was used in Conjunction with his Fear Toxin which made his hallucinations potentially more realistic hence his attack on the Diner at the Start of AK. For Batman, I do agree that he was cured back in AC however I believe the Physical Damage caused by both Titan and Joker’s Blood was cured not the Mental and Psychological Damage. The first dose of the Fear Toxin re-triggered the effects of both Titan & Joker’s Blood which caused Joker to reappear. As a result, a Worst Case scenario Batman had was playing out in real time but too fast for him to properly adjust due to the Chaos ensuing. By the end of the Game, Scarecrow inadvertently helps Batman by giving him one last dose of the Fear Toxin and due to it having Titan mixed in the Toxin, Batman was able to disassociate from his Subconscious and permanently remove the Joker from his Mind. Therefore also removing the Psychological Damage caused by the Titan Formula and Joker’s Blood.
I completely agree on all points except for Croc. It's clearly stated that the warden experimented on him, giving him his tail and Monstrous appearance.
Some of these are hit or miss but I like number 9. The idea of the series ending with Bruce completely abandoning all humanity and becoming the true Batman is really cool
Honestly, Batman dying quicker than Joker can easily be explained by the fact that Jokers blood was exposed longer, therefore when he gave Batman the transfusion, it basically caught up explaining why they would have died around the same time.
That is just not how it works. The toxic chemicals don't level up like some video game the reason is Joker himself is barely human and has altered DNA and it’s mostly for storytelling purposes
Dying of Joker's blood is not far-fetched not only because of incompatibility, but because in the comics Joker's blood is toxic. There's an instance of a mosquito sucking his blood and dying as a result.
Theory 7 is honestly just not great for a number of reasons: 1. Harley's stomach wasn't slammed on the ground, she was thrown and just happened to *kind of* land on her stomach. when she's pushed later on, she falls *backwards* onto her ass 2. Out of all the things we know Harley did during the events of city, i doubt getting slightly thrown around would've caused the miscarriage 3. false positive pregnancy test results *do* occur, so why would she take more after if she believed it was real? what genuine reason would she have to believe that she's no pregnant anymore? 4. the lullaby can easily be chalked up to Harley's grief and delusion after Joker's death. she at least wanted a baby with him, so. when he died she desperately tried to recreate that in some way
I'm a new subscriber, I found you from a short and subscribed when I saw you made videos about the subject I absolutely love the most: Batman Arkham saga. I was worried when I saw you weren't making new videos for a while but with this one you insured my faith in this chanell for AT LEAST 10 years, keep making this amazing content
In Batman Under the Red Hood, Jason Todd gains control of the criminal underworld so he can destroy it from within, the difference between that and Arkham Knight is that it was mainly mob bosses he took control from and his ultimate goal was to make Batman see that criminals like Joker shouldnt be left alive. It seems rocksteasy took inspiration from that storyline but added their own twist on it due to the death of the Joker
I don’t have any theories but I think it would have been cool if Batman started to hallucinate after Scarecrow said that Barbara was in danger. While Batman was distracted and telling Barbara to run away, scarecrow could have put a huge amount of fear toxin into the Batman and lock him in the gas chamber where the explosion was occurring. This was the first mission with scarecrow and when you met Jason Todd. So Batman would escaped and Batman would go to the police station. There, Gordon would tell Batman about stopping Scarecrow but Batman would think that he was talking about the riddler, two face, and Penguin. So, all of those missions expect Scarecrows would be a hallucination, and when Batman saves the city from Scarecrow. The police would investigate Batman. They would have him go back to the police station and Gordon and Cash would be there. They would take him to this small room and they would ask why he destroyed the city, why he killed cops, blow up weapons catches, etc. Batman would say that he didn’t do any of that but Gordon would show him pictures. One was dead cops in the bank, brutality beaten. The other was the weapons catches where Batman thought “Penguin and his men” were, The weapons catches were destroyed and no people were there. Batman would say that he was stopping the villains, Two Face, Riddler, etc. However, Gordon would be confused and say, what other villains, there was only Scarecrow! The militia missions were true and scarecrow mission, but all the others were just a hallucination from the fear toxin. That’s when Batman would realize, he was hallucinating, all of those people he fought and things destroyed were from him, he did it, he was the culprit.
Gordon would talk about the side missions after scarecrow would lock Batman in the gas chamber. This would make the hallucination ending be more realistic.
Theory 11. The grapple boost theory! This theory asks the question, why does batman have the grapple accelerator in Arkham origins, when in Arkham city Alfred says the grapple boost is a prototype. Answer his batsuit. In Arkham origins Bruce’s suit is made of heavy bulky armor with gunfire and melee upgrades.and the the grapple accelerator is slower, but requires the boost to be a higher gforce speed to compensate for the heavy armor. Flash forward to Arkham asylum, Bruce has a lighter weaved suit with armor upgrades for all damage not gunfire or melee, so it’s safe to assume that he just started wearing the lighter suits within a year or a few months, and since the suit is lighter if he used the grapple accelerator his body wouldn’t be able to take the higher G’s. And in Arkham city he has un upgraded version of the city suit that has gunfire and melee upgrades. But it’s still a lighter weaved suit, it’s safe to assume that the grapple boost was being created and tested durring the events of asylum by Lucius fox, and durring Arkham city he’s made the first working prototype that outputs less g force than the grapple accelerator. And in Arkham knight at the beginning of the game batman has light weight suit v7.45 and the grapple boost is labeled has v2, but it’s slower than it was in Arkham city because it’s fully working model and not a prototype. Then gets the new lightweight armored v8.03. With the grapple boost v3 that can be upgraded to v5, and as Lucius says in game this suit can take the G’s. I hope this theory is good and my favorite theory in this video has got to be theory 3.
i remember when people though joker took the cure when batman was unconscious because it switches hands in the last cutscene. Imagine how awful twist it would've been if joker was alive in knight or even was the arkham knight especially after him being the main villain in origins.
I enjoyed the video and respect what you had to say, good job👍but I have one little nitpick on theory #9. Something that a lot of people forget is that the Waynes died in that alley, Bruce included. When the Waynes died batman was born. Bruce wouldn't be gone since he died a long time ago. Batman isn't an alter ego, in truth Bruce Wayne is batman's mask. But hey, that's just me :)
0:20 Wow idk which game or where this is, but that serpentine dragon statue seems to be a clear reference to the identical one made of solid kryptonite in the 1997 animated film "The Batman Superman Movie"
W video. The intro was really cool and all these theories are really interesting. While number 8 is a cool concept I feel like the whole "it was all in his mind/it was all a dream" trope is kinda overused. For number 7, since batman can use detective mode to find out the emotional state of someone and all the anatomy of their body, not to mention being the world's greatest detective, I feel like he would have known if Harley was pregnant. Sure u could argue that he didn't notice Clayface even with the same equipment/expertise, but Clayface is a very unique case. Pregnancy on the other hand is very common. I'm sure he would have experience dealing with pregnant victims or suspects in the past. I feel like it's more likely that Joker was just manipulating Harley into believing she was pregnant to reinforce that control and sense of dependence he has over her. Then once he died, in a desperate attempt to carry on her attachment to him, she started testing for herself and had to come to terms with the fact that she never was pregnant. That's why the negative tests only show up in the dlc after Joker has passed. The original one in the main game was probably a fake or sabotaged test given to her by joker. Overall, my favourite theories were probably Red Hood, Shiva, blood transfusion, and Batman's paranoia. They help fill some of the plot holes/unanswered questions of the arkhamverse really well.
#1 Jokers blood affected Batman quickly because at that point the jokers more severely suffering the effects of his irradiated blood and it makes perfect sense that it would diminish Bat’s health quicker
That is just not how it works. The toxic chemicals don't level up like some video game. the toxic chemicals being inside the Joker made could have made them stronger due to immune system building up resistance and adaptation but that is usually not the case, it's a war in the body that scientist still don't understand. there’s 2 reasons, Joker himself is barely human and has altered DNA and secondly it’s mostly for storytelling purposes
@@eur0be4t3r that kind of makes sense but it doesn't explain why Joker didn't die from his own toxic which could mean that it wasn't toxic enough to cause death
Great video. I particularly love ClownPuncher’s ‘bad blood’ theory. On your theory about Jason already having created his Red Hood persona before coming to Gotham there’s an extra point that supports the theory in the novelisation of Arkham Knight. There during the final confrontation with Jason rather than changing the colour of his mask he instead ripped the the Arkham emblem off his chest to reveal the Red Hood emblem ALREADY PAINTED ON HIS ARMOUR UNDERNEATH. Finally about the theory that Bruce Wayne died at the end of Arkham Knight that can be disproven by the fact that Bruce nearly chokes on his words when saying his mother’s name while telling Alfred to activate the Knightfall protocol. P.S the mini theory that Crane stitched his mask onto his face because of damage dealt by Croc’s attack is confirmed by Militia dialogue.
Theory 7 is quite easy to explain. Paul Dini did want Harley to be pregnant, Rocksteady Games did not. Dini was not hired again to write the City DLC nor Arkham Knight.
Given that the song is only sung after the events of the main campaign instead of the DLC, I'm going to have to disagree with you on that, no matter how intriguing that would be.
While I have heard the theory of Batman and the world being in Bruce's head before the Arkham games I don't think I have heard all of those details before. Good job, interesting theory.
3:27 tbh scare crow most likely has multiple mask and that mask you can find is just one of them from early years and the mask he had on in city was another one that he used to stitch his face together with so ya.
I relate to that last one. In Knight, pretty much every villain (Harley, Joker hallucinations, I think even Two-Face) says that Bruce killed Joker, but, word-for-word what I said is "Joker *KNEW* Bruce was holding the cure, yet stabbed him anyway. Why?"
I would happily accept all these theories except 8 and 9. I have no patience for theories that involve "it was all a dream" or "he's actually insane" because since fiction is generally unbelievable in the real world you can make these theories for just about anything and take all the fun out of good stories like Batman and Harry Potter. As for Batman being able to overcome all fear: It's because he's Batman!
the Bad Blood Theory is the easiest to deny given the fact that joker has an immunity to toxins that Batman doesn't possess and it has not been a year since Arkham Asylum it's been roughly over 6 months not to mention he mentions jaundice skin even though jaundice skin is when your skin turns yellow not pale and he tries to claim it turns yellow but if you pay attention to the scene it's actually just the fact that there was a yellow light and also the reason why scarecrows able to escape was because Batman intervened and entered Croc's Lair quickly after
Yeah people forget the Joker is technical a mutanted human immune to most poisons and chemical attacks. The fact the fact it took nearly half a year to kill Joker, shows how deadly Titan really was.
Actually there is another explanation for why Batman was dying so fast in Arkham City, which is that the joker’s had already reached critical levels at the beginning of the game, and now that blood has mixed with Batman’s. So that blood that was already mixed with titan being in Batman’s body is what immediately put him in the same near death state as joker, or at least that’s a second theory
@@sartbimpson4519I know this a late reply but I actually agree with you. The bad transfusion is probably the reason why Batman nearly died right before his fight with Ra’s Al Ghul. If it was the titan that nearly killed him that time, then Joker would have died at that same point of the game. Maybe a bad transfusion boosted the effects of the titan in Bruce’s blood
quick note on the "Green Eyes" theory. There is a small percentage of people whose eyes change color depending on mood, physical stress, and in some cases emotions. I know this bc I'm one of them. Specific eye colors and emotions defer depending on genetics. for example: when I'm mad my eyes turn from light blue to green (I call it my inner hulk), if I'm focused they turn gray, however Blue to green in a number of cases shows fear. There's a few other variations, but I think you get the point.
I don't think that applies here though since his eye color changing due to emotion hasn't happened before in any media, just changing color due to artist or actor portraying him, maybe on occasion when exposed to certain chemicals.
Oh crap I never thought of the different blood type thing, Lmao that would of been some dark humor if Batman just died in the chair before he even woke up and Joker would just be like "Well...shit..."
I actually can't believe I didn't even contemplate these. The only one I knew about was Harley Quinn being pregnant but even then I never thought about Batman trying to give her a miscarriage.
The issue I have with #9 is Batman without Bruce Wayne is already established as his Zur En Arh personality from the comics, a backup personality to ensure that Batman would go on if his mind was ever compromised.
But since Arkhamverse is a different timeline we don't know if he did that in the Arkhamverse. That said I don't buy the theory, he shows emotion during the scene where he talks to Alfred about activating the Knightfall protocol and the theory makes it sound like he would have almost no emotion, at least that's how it sounds to me.
Rest in peace Kevin Conroy the one and only true, definitive Batman. Another he passed the character of Batman has also passed. It's going to be sad the day Mark Hamill passes away. He is the one and only true, definitive Joker
#1 - I agree with this theory. I think it could very well be true! #2 - A problem with this theory. Why would Killer Croc be running at batman if he's seeing his greatest fear? Also, Croc was trying to drag Batman into the water, which makes sense since Croc would easily beat Batman under water. #3 - I actually do agree with this theory. It's a good one. #4 - Again, a great theory. #5 - Another very good theory. Don't really have any reason to believe otherwise. #6 - Oh by here we go. Batman was cured from titan. That means no glowing eyes from there. How do you know it wasn't enough time for his blood to mutant? You're right, in real life people can't just beat their blood mutation away, but this is comics. And trust me, a lot weirder stuff happens in comics. A lot of this excusing the green eyes thing, just sounds like you're scrabbling to find a reason. #7 - Makes sense. #8 - You shown no evidence for this. Like literally none. It's hard to debunk this when you made no points for this theory that I could debunk. #9 - Bruce Wayne is Batman. They are the same person. Even if the fear Batman took over, it still Bruce Wayne. It literally does not matter. It isn't a different personality. Batman doesn't have multiple personality disorder, or bipolar disorder. #10 - Worst theory I have ever heard. Here's the thing, the biggest thing that you didn't even address. What joker says right before he dies. From Joker's words, it's pretty much spelled out that Joker though that Batman would just let him die. He even laughs when Batman tells him that he would give him the cure. Joker's plan was to stab Batman, then take the cure from his hand. What he didn't expect was Batman to drop the cure. Joker doesn't just want Batman to blame himself for his death, what Joker wants is for Batman to really kill him. And not only that, Joker wants to also gloat about it. He wants everybody to know that Batman killed him. He wants to be remembered as the one person to make Batman break his one rule.
About the debunk you make in theory #10... That's actually kind of happen. There are dialogues around the game that shows many people around Gotham think Batman actually killed The Joker. And, well, The Joker's not stupid, it was pretty obvious that dropping the item as a reflexe move is a very real possibility if you stab the arm that holds it. And it is not far-fetched for The Joker to just act out one last time to make believable for Batman that he had no intention of dying and provoking him survivor's guilt, which is pretty much the central point of the hallucinations in Arkham Knight. The overall idea of making Batman drop Freeze's cure to make him and the city think The Bat killed him is actually very in-character for The Joker, specially in the Arkhamverse where he has done way more f-up things.
@@juanaguilera804 But, here's the thing, why would Joker act surprise that batman was going to hand him the cure? Joker's dialogue has he dies shows that he didn't think batman was going to cure him. Which means joker didn't think batman would see him dying that way as him murdering joker. Yes Batman has guilt, but I don't think the Joker knew that would happen. I don't think he planned that out. Even if people think batman killed the joker, why would that be proof that the joker planned that out? His dialogue near the end shows that he didn't plan it out. It shows that he thought batman wasn't going to cure him. I mean, if you were joker and you heard batman say "After all the harm you've done" would you think batman would cure you?
@@MikatheVoidStar @MikatheVoidStar I thought I explained it in my comment, I'm sorry. So, the key is that The Joker is actually not surprised, just faking his reaction to mess with Batman's mind knowing well he'll feel guilt for his death. And come to think of it, it makes sense. The Joker is the one who knows Batman's psyche the best in all of the rogue gallery (one could argue about Strange being the only one who knows better, but that's another debate unrelated to this), he always knew Batman would give him the cure even after all he'd done, because Batman always keeps locking him instead of giving the definitive solution, even after all the gruesome and cruel crimes he'd done (Joker has gone waaaay farther than most of the other villains, both in comics and in the Arkhamverse). So, he takes the last opportunity he has to break the bat. The situation in Arkham Knight with Batman's survivor's guilt and the lines of people thinking Batman actually killed is not showing that it was planned all along, but to show that The Joker succeeded and had the last laugh. However, there might be a clue in Arkham City showing that The Joker already had everything planned in the beggining, at least the part of dying and making Batman feel guilty with no details on how he will acomplish. When you go to the church tower, after the countdown reaches zero, its doesn't immediately explode. Joker says something like he knows one of them will die tonight and the question is who and encourages Batman to jump out of the window before the bomb actually goes off.
Regarding theory 1: Joker received treatment throughout the year, extending his life and holding back the titan disease. When Batman got infected, he had no medicine injected plus the disease was far more advanced by the time he got infected. Also, it is known that some diseases fight other diseases inside a given host, maybe the Joker Disease also helped Joker live longer while infected with Titan, while in Batman's case it was both diseases spreading and destroying everything. Regarding theory 6: I think Batman is really infected, but the cure he took at the end of Arkham City helped keeping it at bay for awhile. What really happens in my opinion is that he overdoses with fear toxin twice at the end, and the toxin helps Batman cure himself as a side effect.
My three year olds recent obsession with Batman has rekindled mine. I think it super charged mine somehow. Maybe bc I know most of the story lines and his full life’s journey. Junior only knows Batman pre Damian.
Another way batman could have green eyes is at the end of arkham asylum scarecrow gets a crate of titan and in knight he comes back with a stronger version of his fear toxin so maybe he used the titan to make it more powerful and from the titan in the fear toxin is what made batmans eyes go green
The green eyes also could've been from the Demon's Blood. In the comics, Ra's, Talia, Nyssa, and even Damian have green eyes from Ra's and their extended access to the Lazarus Pits. So while they appear nine months after he drinks it, and do change from Green to Blue, it could be.
I'm ok with all of these theories except number 8. I have a deep hatered of the "It's all in their head" theory trope that seems to be a part of every franchise. To me it devalues the storys told in that world, especailly when there's a deeper meaning behind the events that happened.
I like the theory that says Batman was never infected and it was all in his head. It actually makes a lot of sense. If he was infected, he would have needed a cure of some sort. At the end of the game when Sacrecrow unmasks him, he was able to beat the Joker(who was created by batman's mind and Not because of the infected blood) without taking any cures, which proves that it was purely a mental problem. After Arkham city, Batman blamed himself for the Joker's death(In Arkham knight and before beating the game, if you roam around Gotham, at random times you will see the billboards changing due to Batman's hallucinations and one of them will show Batman pointing a gun at the Joker and it clearly shows that Batman believes he killed the Joker by letting him die in Arkham city. Also during the mission when Harley takes over Panessa Studios, the Joker, who is not real, tells Batman that he has killed before and that he will make him do it again. It's like bruce is indirectly telling himself that he is a killer) the Idea of Batman killing someone and the fear of becoming what he fights against was lurking there in the back of his mind after the Joker had died. That fear is what made the Joker alive in Batman's head.
Part of the Bruce death theory is true. Bruce is dead and Batman is alive but not in the way you think. When Bruce activated Knightfall he killed Bruce and Batman took over. However Batman doesn’t kill so like when he killed Bane he revived Bruce by SS:KTJ
In the comics, Batman has always felt that the Joker has a toxin that when the Joker dies will released upon the person who kills him and will make them a new Joker. This may be why Joker tried forced Batman to drop the toxin and why he wanted to die.
@@Knerd_YTThose are some very interesting theories and We are supposed to believe that Batman/Bruce Wayne and Alfred Pennyworth both committed suicide since Wayne Manor does end up exploding but what of that Demon version of Batman? Most People think that Batman faked His death and is now using Scarecrow's fear toxin to fight criminals.
Some more evidence for Batman not being infected in Arkham knight is when crane is injected his eyes turn orange with fear. Potential the same thing but green for Batman?
Huh that actually makes a lot of sense! Maybe the color of your eyes changes to represent the fear you're currently experiencing, like how Batman's eyes turn green for his Joker fear and Scarecrow's eyes turn orange to represent his fear of Nightmare Batman
Got any other arkham theories you want me to include in my next list?🤔
Now that I can believe
In the Batman VS Dracula movie, if I remember correctly, Batman gave Joker his blood to cure him. I know it’s a different universe but that means they have the same blood type in some universes
Also what I was thinking
or Joker's Blood is just built different look at what his blood is able to do to other people he is not really human anymore the Ace chemicals accident changed his blood and his DNA he doesn’t even look humans his skin his hairs and his mind have been permanently affected so it's probably bc the joker is not a normal human
Naw that doesn't make any sense. Diseases causing agents such as pathogens aren't like that
I feel like the one on Bruce not being mentally cured of Joker's blood is less of a theory and more just media literacy.
Yeah honestly it for sure is
I agree, but it also goes to show how lazy the writers were.
@@KANQQ No, batman turning into the joker has nothing to do with the fear toxin, the toxin just causes hallucinations.
Theory 8 was actually a comic story that actually had Bruce as a patient in Arkham and his adventures being imaginary.
It's also based on a movie called Shutter Island with the same premise!
Tell me the comic name
@@rishuasthana1086I would like to know that also 😂
Anddddd in the Batman ‘podcast’ (which is really a audiobook) the fear toxin makes Bruce believe he is that child who became a patient at Arkham if memory serves me correctly!
Batman the last knight on earth
To add on to the last theory, the toxin makes Batman see more visions on billboards throughout the game that decontextualize their original meaning. One in particular shows Batman and Joker as the caption says “Never forget your first” with an image of Batman strangling Joker, showing that Batman truly does feel like he murdered Joker.
My theory I have is at the end of the game (AA) scarecrow, bane, and croc all grab a titan crate at the end clownpuncher already said why bane and crow are there but the way I see it croc tried using titan to cure himself thus making him grow a tail and him grow taller and amplified his cell regeneration witch is why his hand grew back
Huh that's a really cool theory, definitely explains why they had croc in that post credits scene
That was not what happened to Croc seen it's already explained in his Arkham Knight DLC storyline. He was experimented on in a harsh and cruel way
@@maui3551 but did experimenting cause croc to mutate like that? i didn't get that idea from the dlc mission
Long reply but this entirely makes sense
I dig the theory about Knightfall... Very well thought out BUT.... Aren't we told by Rocksteady that certain comic arcs are also cannon in the Arkham series? If that is indeed the case...the Knightfall Protocol was created long ago in the encounter with Bane. Specifically the Batman comic or arc "Knightfall" (not sure which exactly been a lil bit since readin it lol sorry) which focuses on how Bane broke Batman almost in half... The arc also goes into detail (if I'm not mistaking) of Bruce, while healing (and appointing the future Azrael as Batman) starts to discuss with Alfred the idea that becomes essentially the Knightfall Protocol (which I think has that name in comic as well) Could be mistaking or combining a few stories possibly but I'm almost sure that's right
Yeah, the knightfall protocol has been probaly made ever since Bane found out about Batmans true identity and almost killed Alfred in origins.
This makes a lot of sense. That or just some really cool world building
A stands for Arkham Knight and if you find the the bomber in the game's files it's named Jason Todd.
The amount of lore in these games is incredible. They are dripping with it. It’s always so fun to explore it and find cool easter eggs and come up with theories!
The miscarriage could also be induced by the stress of losing the joker. But I do think either way batman inadvertently caused her to lose the baby.
If you look at the Pregnancy test box in the main game, it's different from the box in the dlc. The one in the dlc says, "caution, tests may result in false positive"
Since Paul Dini (the writer) left right before the dlc was written, I think it's clear that he intended to surprise us with a pregnant Harley Quinn, and the new writers said, "Nope... false positive"
Or or or could the miscarriage be from all the flipping Harley does?

If anything she'd want the baby as she it will remind her of Joker.

Another idea for theory 6, Green eyes
What if those conversations where people notice are just in his head.

He would have teamed up with the bad guys for also learning their weaknesses too, they knew Arkham Knight, not Jason Todd so they'd be caught off guard by red hood knowing everything about them
Regarding Theory 9: Batman Zur En Arrh is a secondary personality that Bruce created in case his original personality is compromised.

@@Grizzlox Could those experiments possibly have triggered the effects of the Titan even aide in the Mutations?

Honestly, Batman dying quicker than Joker can easily be explained by the fact that Jokers blood was exposed longer, therefore when he gave Batman the transfusion, it basically caught up explaining why they would have died around the same time.
Enless jokers death was fakef
Faked
That is just not how it works. The toxic chemicals don't level up like some video game the reason is Joker himself is barely human and has altered DNA and it’s mostly for storytelling purposes
s If anything the toxic chemicals being inside the Joker made them weaker due to immune system building up resistance and adaptation
Dying of Joker's blood is not far-fetched not only because of incompatibility, but because in the comics Joker's blood is toxic. There's an instance of a mosquito sucking his blood and dying as a result.
Theory 7 is honestly just not great for a number of reasons:
1. Harley's stomach wasn't slammed on the ground, she was thrown and just happened to *kind of* land on her stomach. when she's pushed later on, she falls *backwards* onto her ass
2. Out of all the things we know Harley did during the events of city, i doubt getting slightly thrown around would've caused the miscarriage
3. false positive pregnancy test results *do* occur, so why would she take more after if she believed it was real? what genuine reason would she have to believe that she's no pregnant anymore?
4. the lullaby can easily be chalked up to Harley's grief and delusion after Joker's death. she at least wanted a baby with him, so. when he died she desperately tried to recreate that in some way

16:33 in the tie in comics, joker had his body booby trapped to release poisonous gas during his autopsy
The other was the weapons catches where Batman thought “Penguin and his men” were,
The weapons catches were destroyed and no people were there.
This would make the hallucination ending be more realistic.
that's actually a really cool concept!
Agreed
I hope this theory is good and my favorite theory in this video has got to be theory 3.
no way, I also had this theory! twinsies
I love this one!
i remember when people though joker took the cure when batman was unconscious because it switches hands in the last cutscene. Imagine how awful twist it would've been if joker was alive in knight or even was the arkham knight especially after him being the main villain in origins.
I'm fairly certain it's implied that Harley had a miscarriage because of the stress from Joker's death.
Any theory that starts with “it’s just a dream” or “he’s insane” should never be entertained
But hey, that's just me :)
theory 9 imo is correct, even one of the goons in knight says that he thought that batman is a force of nature, i agree with him
0:20 Wow idk which game or where this is, but that serpentine dragon statue seems to be a clear reference to the identical one made of solid kryptonite in the 1997 animated film "The Batman Superman Movie"
the game is arkham knight in wayne tower in miagani island
#7 the grief Harley experienced when Joker died would almost be enough to possibly cause a miscarriage
I really like your idea that Joker sabotaged the test results, I never thought about it that way but it makes so much sense lol
@@leztyJoker’s blood was already toxic before the titan chemicals so that could explain why batman starting dying so quickly
@@eur0be4t3r that kind of makes sense but it doesn't explain why Joker didn't die from his own toxic which could mean that it wasn't toxic enough to cause death
3:26 you can also find his old mask in Ace Chemicals after you first confront Scarecrow
The only problem about theory 9 is Bruce states himself that if it was only Batman he would be killing criminals
I think the mental damage of Joker’s death is what caused Harley to have a miscarriage
Theory 7 is quite easy to explain. Paul Dini did want Harley to be pregnant, Rocksteady Games did not. Dini was not hired again to write the City DLC nor Arkham Knight.
For theory 7 when Harley Quinn was singing to make it worse she was singing it to her dead child
Given that the song is only sung after the events of the main campaign instead of the DLC, I'm going to have to disagree with you on that, no matter how intriguing that would be.
God I love this insane Bruce Wayne and the villains being good workers.
While I have heard the theory of Batman and the world being in Bruce's head before the Arkham games I don't think I have heard all of those details before. Good job, interesting theory.
For theory number 4 I think it would make a lot more sense if it was the court of owls who killed him because we know they exist in the Arkam verse
14:39 Joker being afraid of Batman is possible but he's in love with Batman also
It's a really weird relationship between the two for sure lol but there's definitely some element of fear involved
Same. I skipped them because it's done to death.
It's not bad on paper but it would never work on screen
the Bad Blood Theory is the easiest to deny given the fact that joker has an immunity to toxins that Batman doesn't possess and it has not been a year since Arkham Asylum it's been roughly over 6 months not to mention he mentions jaundice skin even though jaundice skin is when your skin turns yellow not pale and he tries to claim it turns yellow but if you pay attention to the scene it's actually just the fact that there was a yellow light and also the reason why scarecrows able to escape was because Batman intervened and entered Croc's Lair quickly after
Yeah people forget the Joker is technical a mutanted human immune to most poisons and chemical attacks.
The fact the fact it took nearly half a year to kill Joker, shows how deadly Titan really was.
@@JohnWilliams-wl9px which is really annoying because that's one of his key character traits
#8 Bane is the muscular orderly that beats Bruce senseless when the doctors aren’t looking
Ok, theory #9 is freakin' banger.
That's definitely my new headcanon now.
#8 is just an entire separate comic.
Makes sense. I think both happens, the bad transfusion and the blood in the bad state
@@sartbimpson4519I know this a late reply but I actually agree with you.
Absolutely LOVE your videos!! Making me re-download the Arkham games rn hahaha
The blood transfusion thing actually makes a lot of sense considering you can get blood poisoning and that's probably what happened to batman
Blood poisoning can kill very quickly. It's a horrible way to go
I thought Anarky died at the beginning of Arkham knight because there’s an Anarky symbol on the table where the guy smoking is
Why would 10 Batman Arkham theories blow me? Is it horny???
Freaky ahh theories
ok that was one of the best intros to a youtube video i have ever seen. bravo!
Glad you liked it! :)
@@Knerd_YT you killed it! great stuff!
quick note on the "Green Eyes" theory.
Stretch opympics
i like These types of theories actually shocking me
I'm very happy youtube recommended this. I'm always looking for Arkham theories videos.
And this one did not disappoint at all.
Subbed!
Thank you so much!
Oh crap I never thought of the different blood type thing,
Lmao that would of been some dark humor if Batman just died in the chair before he even woke up and Joker would just be like "Well...shit..."
The theory of Shiva is really cool. I also believe in theory 6
Yes a cool theory
Mister freeze is just a maintenance guy that works the air conditioner 😭😂😂
2:24 Jonkler
A man of culture, i see.
Awesome. Thanks for this video. Much enjoyed it. And brought me back to my best memories.
I wanted Jason so badly to kill and turn on Scarecrow either early on or middle of the game and become the Red Hood as the main villain
Wait what the hell, this game is almost ten years already?!
13:32 Well, when you think about it, that theory doesn't apply solely to the Arkhamverse, but to the Batman franchise in general.
Scarecrows mask can also be found somewhere in Arkham Knight.
Rest in peace Kevin Conroy the one and only true, definitive Batman. Another he passed the character of Batman has also passed. It's going to be sad the day Mark Hamill passes away. He is the one and only true, definitive Joker
Ok. Bruce Wayne dead is a good unexpected theory
Regarding theory 1:
Joker received treatment throughout the year, extending his life and holding back the titan disease.
Regarding theory 6:
I think Batman is really infected, but the cure he took at the end of Arkham City helped keeping it at bay for awhile. What really happens in my opinion is that he overdoses with fear toxin twice at the end, and the toxin helps Batman cure himself as a side effect.
Anarchy might been in another country based off of random npc convos
3:05 Not gonna lie, I got a "Risky Business Vibe" when i saw Croc sliding into view in the distance lol
My favorite thing about joker is his laugh. Most laughs are filled with joy, but his? His laughter sounds painful, and filled with sorrow.
I’m genuinely surprised. These are pretty fucking good theories, I personally like the Shiva and Anarky ones.
Wow I never knew that hayley sing at the end of arkham city and I been playing it for years
Part of the Bruce death theory is true. Bruce is dead and Batman is alive but not in the way you think. When Bruce activated Knightfall he killed Bruce and Batman took over. However Batman doesn’t kill so like when he killed Bane he revived Bruce by SS:KTJ
Okay theory #8 is literally just Last Knight on Earth.
My mind is blown🤯
I really love your theory it makes so much sense
In the comics, Batman has always felt that the Joker has a toxin that when the Joker dies will released upon the person who kills him and will make them a new Joker. This may be why Joker tried forced Batman to drop the toxin and why he wanted to die.
That intro is epic, road to 123K ! Loved the video
Thanks bro🙏 ik it's unlikely but man I hope this video does eventually hit 123k lol

But I guess that could be the serum not too sure
Huh that actually makes a lot of sense! Maybe the color of your eyes changes to represent the fear you're currently experiencing, like how Batman's eyes turn green for his Joker fear and Scarecrow's eyes turn orange to represent his fear of Nightmare Batman
