@@jingmanalaysay1049 Nope. 8 guitars time 8 settings equals 64 guitars!!!! Pop the tone boost and it's 128!
Testing out a really cool and unique pedal this week! Pretty much solves the problem of using coil splits for me :)
PS - You should still buy more guitars, because guitars are awesome!
Lol.. you can never have too many guitars👌🎸🎸🎸🎸
It's not only the tone or the pickup type that makes a guitar great: it's the feel, the wood, the neck, the fretboard type, even the color that are inspiring !

Thanks for asking!

Whew, I was afraid you were saying we don't need more guitars! Cool pedal though. Love the gold top PRS! God bless bro. 🎸🎅

Bought this pedal based on this video. It WAY exceeded my expectations. Yes it mimics but somehow it improves the sound of actual fat 50s and Filtertrons when your on those settings. My Tele is now my Les Paul and it sounds as good as any Les Paul I have played.
Woww! Definitely gonna get mine
That good?? How do we know you're not affiliated with the product? Cuz this sounds *too* good to be true...
How much was it I'm having a hard time finding any on any used markets. Looks like I'll be buying it new
Wait... So you don't just get to sound like whatever pick up you want to sound like basically... But the pick ups you already have sound even better with this device?
I'm sold lol.
The Wide Humbucker setting really stood out on both guitars.
Totally agree with you!
Same. Made me think this would be a better buy vs installing and buying active pickups in one guitar. The wide pickup made me think of the emg 8185 set up
you should do a blind test video to see if we can tell the pedal from real pickups
I second this. Or maybe do a 2 part video, and let's us guess. Then release the results a day or so later. And talk about it.

Great idea!
I'll add it to my list :)
@@DarrellBraunGuitar Is there a way to host some kind of poll and track the results? That would be fun!
This.
Why do I feel like this pedal was a collab between wives all over the world 🤔🤔🤔🤔 awesome review!!!
😂👍👍👍
I wasn’t expecting it to do as well as it did. I love bright instruments like Telecasters, so it is nice to have practical ways of warming up my tone when needed, as opposed to toting another guitar around for small gigs.
Thanks! Just ordered it, Love your channel.
Thanks so much Dan!
Congratulations on the pedal 😁👍
So gone are my LP custom, LP standard, Telecaster, Strat, replaced by my Firefly $100 guitar with one pickup this pedal and my $100 tube amp from Amazon. Here I come guitar world!
I love your tutorials. You sound very sincere and truly speaking on gear! Greetings from Argentina!

I like it. Definitely will be useful for me as most of my guitars are HH or HSH. Thanks man for the video.
Wow, very neat, sweet PRS by the way! It seems like the pedal is very accurate and definitely takes the worry out of using different pickup types! Sweet video, your other videos inspired me to get a Tele! :)
Congratulations!
Can't go wrong with a Tele! 🎸😍
THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! You are the only demo on u tube that actually shows the pedal instead of heavy fuzz where you cant hear the effect of the Keyztone...thanks again!!
I'm with you on the wide range and Supa clean! When I first heard the wide patch my eyes lit up! You summarized it perfectly.
Thanks for your efforts.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays.
i'm actually pleasantly surprised with this. its not 100% there but its close enough for most people i'd say.
Pints of Guinness maybe because pickups effect how the strings actually ring
I actually liked the pedals humbucker simulation better than the real humbucker guitar.
That has some really great tone changes, I'll be looking into these. Thanks for the enable!
That's really cool. You can get some really unique tones using those combos. Very impressive and of def rec this to any of those unique tone hunters.

Darrell Braun Guitar that root beer top is beautiful wish I could find one
One of the few times I watch a pedal demo on YT and before it's over I'm checking out how much it costs and if they ship international. I absolutely NEED that p90 sound.
Nice pedal! Funny I picked to 2 same settings as my favourites too :) Thanks for sharing!
Eagerly anticipating a take on the bass:-) Impressive stuff!
236 before shipping and VAT though, yikes, but this pedal is pretty damn amazing.
Hmmmm. much better than I expected. I too liked the 'wide humbucker' (whatever that is) best, especially on the PRS. The few times I ran FoH sound and players used PRS I thought those humbuckers had warmth but clarity. This just takes it up a notch.
I think the 'Wide Humbucker' may be the Wide Range Humbucker Fender put on some of its Telecasters from 1971, and the original Starcaster from 1976.
The thing that separates channels like yours are that you gave the 'true sound' as a comparison, not just on/off. Great demo
Thanks man! I appreciate it :)
Wow, sounds great! Thanks for another helpful review!
It makes your rig sooooo versatile!!!!!
I was waiting to hear the Stratocaster single coil guitar on humbucker settings with distortion. Can the Strat become a metal beast with this pedal?

It's just a regular old CU24. The DGT is a sweet guitar though 😁
Oh cool! thanks buddy
I’m been waiting on mine for over a year from Sweetwater. They claim I should have it before Christmas.... we’ll see. Very useful pedal though.
Yikes!

Been playing a DGT for a few years now. Get one, you won't regret it!!
Ordered mine yesterday! Can't wait :)
Thanks, D! Love the review! Keep on!

I have to admit that I was sceptical at first but I was really impressed. It sounds really convincing.
How does it react if you use the guitar's tone and volume knob?
I'm with you, I liked the Wide Humbucker and Supa'Clean settings as it sounds from your clip. A very interesting piece of kit for sure.
Awesome review. Sounds pretty good. Some really useable tones to be had there. 👍
Seriously impressive. The price, however, means it will have to wait till after Christmas.
I shouldn't have been surprised by the price, but after shipping to Canada... Ouch. This is definitely on my shortlist now though.
Ok that sounds nice, but, you are using a great sounding prs guitar, what about a cheapo crap guitar? I'd like to hear that comparison. Great video!
REALLY liked the last tonal bank with the Strat/Supa' Clean selected! Very nice all-around tone...
Amazing pedal! Love the Wide Humbucker the best!
Just for the P90 sound, I would get it.
I don’t like the way p90s look but I really like the way they sound. This might be a solution but it will solve the conflict of me to find the one p90 that will conquer my heart.
The price is high, but still cheaper than a decent LP or Tele with p90s
Blake Jensen , it impressed me so much I nearly jumped from my seat.
It would be cool to see if you can, somehow, obtain the same effect with a EQ pedal!
Ya know I kinda thought the same thing, seemed like it would be possible as many of the differences really just sounded like tone and boost.
Wide humbucker and Supa were my favorite as well! Adding to cart now haha
So helpful; thanks!
Now this is a pedal I might consider purchasing!!
I am not a pedal guitarist. I am pretty much old school and the only pedals I own came with my modeling amps so I can scroll through the amp menu. I have enough trouble with my hands, I don't need to throw my feet into the mix lol. But your title for this review upset me and probably half of your viewers. What's the big idea saying something like that? Now there will be spouses out there that will see that title and tell some poor guitar player who is finally just about ready to spring for that new guitar that they don't need a new guitar, just buy this pedal domahicky!!
No pedal can ever replace the thrill of buying a new guitar, it's like sunshine to an Alaskan after 30 days of darkness. Fresh air to the scuba diver whose oxygen ran out, Bonnie to your clyde!! I demand an edit to the title!!!
Great review and yup I may just get this one.. darn it more money to spend...
The function is impressing but there is something I dislike about having a bunch of boxes and cables and a big board on the floor. So I have a nice little multi-effect box which does everything I could want and I'm still not using it. Now, maybe if it were a wireless box…
Never seen the words 'old school' and 'modelling amp' used in that context before.
@@adrianscarlett - LOL, Ya know I did not even think about that until you pointed it out! lol, OK by old school I was more meaning just a boy, his guitar and an amp lol. I'm still chuckling about your response as I type mine...
Picture it - 1975 Page, Clapton, Beck, Hendrix (ssh its my fantasy), Gary Moore and a young Edward V are all sitting around playing and trying to get that new sound...in walks some kid with a Fender Mustang 3 modeling amp and blows them all away!! Man, if only we could make a time machine, we could be rich!!!
Came for the pedal, stayed for the playing :)
Wow! That thing sounds awesome!!! Now I know what to ask the wife for Christmas! Thanks for the review, I love the wide humbucker sound!!
Love your show man!
Thanks Drew!
Cool video. One suggestion though: when scrolling through different sounds on the same guitar, why not return periodically to the original unprocessed sound for better comparison (it's very easy to forget it after two or more processed examples). Also, a question that came to my mind is, will anyone in the audience notice that your humbucking guitar started sounding like a single-coil after you engaged this pedal on stage. Even guitarists. I highly doubt it. In this case, the visual information will probably easily override the auditory (especially since it's extremely hard to really truly precisely emulate the other kind of pickups, and this pedal does only partial job, with all due respect to it :)
Hi!
It probably depends what kind of guitar you are using (people do famously listen with their eyes). That being said if you were playing a HSH Strat or Ibanez other musicians would certainly notice the change (but might wonder why the single coil was so loud and clear).
In the end it's not about people noticing, but doing justice to the particular song.
As for the general public, you could probably switch to a bassoon and only half would notice! 😂
sure you could get that to get these different sounds. but if you got a new guitar, you'd have a new guitar. i'll take the new guitar thanks =D
😁😁😁
Hahahaha We all may have that same logic. However I think for less haul to a gig this could work. Or studio. Hahaha. Nice idea either way. Great video

Where's the option for a dogear P90 sound?!?!?!?!?!?!
wasn't sure if I needed to add "/sarc" - I don't understand why they had to note that it was a soapbar on the pedal other than for the picture, as if people don't get that it's what a P90 generally looks like

If I had that PRS I wouldn't even look at other guitars
So based on the comment section, getting a wife is a bad idea.
I have plenty of guitars and pedals, but I always have more room for both. Well, now I'm on the hunt for this pedal.
In case anyone is wondering, I plugged in my Gibson 57 Classics PUP, my Fender with Texas Specials, and a few other guitars into this pedal and they all sound phenomenal! Online it's hard to tell if it just changes to a tone set by the factory or if it enhances the tone of your actual guitar. I'm happy to say that they all sounded different and it does keep the main tonal sound of your guitar. I voiced my 57 to sound like the 50s settings so that it was nearly identical. From there I moved up and down the different pickup settings and could hear how "that" guitar sounded. I did the same with my Fender on the hot Texas Specials setting too. Each pickup selection which does sound much like what it "should" did maintain the characteristics of the original guitar I played. To my ears, the single coils sounded more authentic with the Fender and the Humbucker type pickups sounded better with the Gibson. The P90 settings, they each had their own take on that. For the Fender I darkened the sound a little and for the Gibson I brightened it up a little. Even though the pickups "did" sound similar when voiced to their respective would be emulations, the actual response and characteristics did change its weird you'd have to get your hands on one to know what I'm talking about. It's definitely worth the $260 or so I paid for it after shipping and exchange rate.

Wow surprised!!! That sounded pretty darn good!
With the Strat and the pedal set at hot Texas Single Coil setting, that's the best sounding Strat I've ever heard. It brings so much detail to the surface. If I where to buy one it would definately be used in that setting for sure!
man i love your playing
Very tasty and versatile playing, thank you!

Awesome review!
Thanks man!
Great tones
I've been enjoying the virsatility of this feature in my Boss ME50 multi-pedal for years playing mostly humbucker pickups and if we do a country song or Beach Boys I switch to the "humbucker to single coil" setting and it works great. I play my Strat on country gigs and have occasionally used the "single coil to humbucker" setting for a convincing sound of that rather that switching guitars for one song or solo.
That wide humbucker sound is really awesome. I would just buy the pedal for that setting.
Awesome pedal. & Review
