Just happened upon this and saw that 1966 was your favorite year, same here. 1967 not so much I joined the Marines right after I graduated HS in 1966, 1967 and 1968 ducking bullets in Vietnam. The world did make a lot more sense.

This television show was on when I was 9 years old I thought it was about cavemen but it must be about time travel. I don't think it was on TV more than the season or two if that. And I remember the theme song. Thank you for posting
They travel to, approximately, one-million BC. Yet the procession of the lyrics is Roman senators, knights, then Minutemen. That’s moving forward in time, not backward. I’m aware they came back mid first season, but that wasn’t the original plan by creators.
