Osbornedale MVA Rollover (Derby CT) Entrapment

Incident Details:
At 11:47 a.m., Derby Fire Department was dispatched to Osbornedale State Park for a reported MVA rollover with possible entrapment. FD-9 (AMBO) was the first on scene finding a solo vehicle MVA on its side with one party trapped in the vehicle confirming the extrication. Fire crews worked to stabilize the vehicle and conducted a roof removal to extricate the occupant. Fire crews also stretched a precautionary hose line but was never used. The occupant was extricated in about 15 minutes and was placed in the care of EMS. The Occupant was transported to an area hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. Due to the accident being in a state park, DEEP is investigating the crash.
