  • Steven writes: "I have written a fairly substantial solo piano piece, titled Sonata Dolorosa, which I performed in my Master's Recital on May 15th in Beall Hall. I would like to share ... this work with Cascadia Composers, as well as talk a bit about my influences, the compositional elements of the piece, and give an overview of some of the pianistic techniques I used when writing it."
Note to viewers: There was a problem with the Zoom recording such that many systems of the score are skipped over during the complete performance segment of this presentation video. For a video of the sonata only, with the complete score (not to mention better sound quality), please go to • James--Sonata Dolorosa
