After a khepri’s horn video and a Tommy’s matchbook video tomorrow and the day after, that’s the end of Fun Builds season 1. In the next season of Destiny I’m going to focus more on polished content so the uploads won’t be that frequent next season, sorry! Will do my best of course

Can't wait for khepris horn - i mained that for so long. Sadly since solar 3.0 it does not count as an ability/ cant create sunspots by itself.
Sorrows Verse is really nice with a max range zen moment +rampage/adrenaline junkie roll.
Is this a weapon you're keeping? If so what did it replace in your loadout?

@@uninteressant2196 I always used it with stasis. Setting up glacier grenades made people never consider running away before the barricade slammed through and the fire ran through them. What killed it for me was lack of motivation to grind power level as well as resilience becoming more important. I pretty much only used it in trials because it was best there for me, but it stopped one shotting people since I stopped wanting to grind every season. With more people above 50 resilience too, it just made it worse.
Idk why, I love this video style. You call it low effort, I’d 100% be down with ‘chill vibe’ crucible videos on a regular or semi-regular basis

This was my first legendary weapon I ever used used (barring a trash shotgun or hand cannon I used for a day or two). So I have many many fond memories with this weapon. I used to think guardians moved so incredibly fast, but this auto helped me kill (relatively) consistently. Glad it gets some love
I love listening to you chat about PvP. I don't think you're in the minority when you say you'd like to see more of a reward with primary gunplay, teamwork and positioning rather than cheesy ability spam and weapons with easy kills. It's hard for players to see their improvement with basic skills when you're getting killed by things that are OP and low skill floor.

I've engineered my own fun by playing rumbles with my own modified rules. No sprinting, no holding W, become bunny rabbit by never staying on the ground, 360° entries for every gunfight... The hardest thing you can do is only walk backwards. You have to 180° every time you engage, and can only walk or jump backwards and turn around midair to engage. I've stopped my need for looking at weapons to find my fun because Cryosthesia does that enough for me, so it's become trying to find as many armor and subclass customizations that are interesting. Excited for that Khepri's Horn video, I actually mained that in trials when on titan for so long until I stopped caring about power level and it stopped one shotting people. Thanks for the content, don't bother with needing to make top-notch quality stuff when the game is in this bad of a state. Hopefully it gets better soon.
The Ammit with Enhanced Tap the Trigger and Enhanced Dynamic Sway plus the Omolon origin trait almost definitely hits 100 stability. It feels amazing

This thing with Demo slaps so fucking hard. What I did before Arc 3.0 was double skips with those pair of gauntlets with a bomber cloak and that's it. Use skips to open a fight and you got a consistent 1v1 melt because you have so many factors coming together to regen your nade. Should be especially more potent with Autos being better cause I did this before all the 3.0 classes. A good second setup is Glacier with Frostees. You can actually hide from people with cheeky wall glaciers and get the jump on people. So damn fun and I even had a couple clips of me just hiding from people on my glaciers.
Edit: I also forgot Tap the Trigger was my other perk. I always wanted a full on consistency roll but god grenade builds are just so fun with this thing. Also a very nutty PvE gun cause it rolls Feeding + MKC!
I remember you using this gun like a year ago and being of one the only auto rifles that survived your vault burning haha, I love this one

I LOVE sorrows verse, got a dynamic sway + demo roll ages ago and pull it out every so often. The sights, model, and sound design are just all so sleek and clean and it feels like the shots just connect themselves sometimes. Can't wait to eventually get a good version of it with suros synergy
OMG I have this Sorrow's Verse roll! I need to dig it out. I saw it mentioned by Cammy I think, awhile back and saved it. You show it off so well, it reminds me of the Galliard which had sights not barrels.

Ok I just played a good 2hrs with sorrow's verse, elemental capacitor and tap the trigger on void hunter. I slayed out like nobody's business. Probably averaged a 3.5kda on the night with a couple 6.0 matches. I kept laughing like "omg this weapon is ridiculous." Thank you Gjerda. I had a hilarious and fun night from this video

I had a roll of Sorrow's Verse with Encore Wellspring that I used in low teir pve for awhile. The gun feels really good, even though that roll is disastrous lol. Helped me rediscover my love for auto rifles from D1, and I'm rocking the Subsistence Focused Fury Krait now. It reminds me of this one auto rifle I had back in D1 with a ridiculously large mag size, you can just shoot forever.
The music. It's like playing D2 at Bosch's house 😊
I recently got a last breath with KW and rangefinder and was rather surprised with how well the shots landed and ability to track enemies.

i think adaptives in pvp are really underrated. i tried out the summoner with rangefinder and rampage and it melts people. its a shame sorrows verse cant run rangefinder, i feel like its loot pool is more focused towards pve. but there are a few good pvp perks like tunnel vision, killing wind, surplus, tap the trigger and zen moment if youre on controller. elemental capacitor can also run on the fourth column which is nice to have if youre looking for more handling or stability if you dont have enough of either of those.
i think people need to try out more guns like this since auto rifles are good and have potential but people tend to lean towards precision frames since theyre more accurate and have more range. some might even go for high-impacts like the herod-c.
i feel like people are too hooked on the meta and dont really want to have fun and just really want to win. people miss the point of casual, its to have fun and chill out with some friends or yourself. bungie likes to screw with the meta a lot and bring in these really busted exotics like forerunner and lorentz and dont really want to stray from anything like that which sucks because its just an easy win for anyone. if youve read this far i urge you to try something new if youre using cheesey things like that, much better for your soul and sure you wont win much of the time but its still really nice to have fun and chill, theres no rush to win, dont worry about that points counter at the top of your screen.

We have the same brain I swear. I have the same roll and used it after watching cammys vid. Elemental capacitor worked great after you convinced me to go all out with blink as well. Having taken a break from destiny this season I can honestly say this is one of the guns that is enticing me back. Love this series. Couldn't agree more that the variety is destinys strong suit and keeps things somewhat fresh even when they aren't. Keep up the great work.

I have a super performing sorrows verse with snapshot and surplus that's always been a pleasure to use in pvp.
I dont care what anyone says. Sorrows verse is good. I main hand cannons but let me tell you. When i first got my hands on one and tried it out for the first time it just felt surprisingly good. I was melting people with it. This was long before the autorifle buffs. Every now and then i pick it up and try it out again because its just that good and that much fun to use. So many different good roles and perk combos. I would even go as far as to say it could hang with the summoner. Maybe not beat it but close.
I used to main Starfire protocol on well in pvp for the double healing grenades, and I'm really sad that that feature is gone now /:
I have yet to have one drop that really feels right, maybe with engram focusing next season I'll farm for one!

I feel the same way about Tommy’s matchbook. With hipfire and auto rifle characteristics, it makes me feel like I’m going back to old shooters that demand your aim to be as good as possible

honestly they should give autos perfect in air accuracy to give them a niche, because they cant buff their ttk or they powercreep smgs like what happened in 600 auto meta, nor can they buff their range or they will creep into pulse territory
I was watching the first 3-4 minutes of gameplay on mute (US Men's national team is playing), and it made me feel nostalgic for the old days of Destiny. Something about the way the shots were landing, especially with the slug shotgun and the in-air shots. It felt like you were playing a more fun version of the game I've been playing recently. Then I turn on the volume and learn the footage is pre Void 3.0. ☹
On the topic of the video, I've auto deleted thousands upon thousands of sorrow's verse's. I imagine tonight after playing crucible for 5 minutes I'll have plenty of good rolls, I'll give it a shot

@@Gjerda And slug shotgun consistency, I've been so lost with slugs lately. As you may know from my comment history, I'm a gentleman, not a caveman, and I like my shotgun projectiles to travel 11 meters and deliver a kill exactly where I aim them. I don't like my bullets behaving like an unobserved electron. (Little quantum mechanics joke for ya)
