Damn right
don't know why but YEEAAAA
Have fun out there ❤ btw, here's the first episode of the series: ua-cam.com/video/_rbIxCG2oIw/v-deo.html
Thanks for your patience for how long I was gone! I needed a break, but it also takes a long time to make actually good videos. If you’d like to support me please consider Patreon: www.patreon.com/gjerda or just share the video with friends :)
Coming up later: shotguns episode 2, how snipers work, some fun build videos, and plenty more.
Can't wait for the new stuff!! Glad you put yourself over content, or then said content wouldn't be as good
Good vid man, these are good things to keep in mind when playing.
Something I always tell people is that you’ve got to 100% disconnect your enjoyment of the game from winning/losing when solo queuing. Especially in 6v6, it’s almost entirely out of your Control
Aw thank you so much Shadow! And yes I totally agree. Control is out of our Control ;)
@@Gjerda hahah ;)
Playing a game for intrinsic joy sounds like a no brainer but I think loot acquisition being such a prevalent part of the game really bogs people down. Really happy you made a video like this.
Thanks :)
Return of the king
W jotaro
when the world needed him most he returned!
hahaha yes
Gjerda out here dropping life facts using D2 as a setpiece. Control (not the pvp mode) is an illusion. Mayhem (also not the pvp mode) is okay. Love it. Great job as always
Thanks!!
"Relax, nothing is under control."
I have said it before, but I just love your mindset. Video was spot on and super well done! While I don't venture into PVP much these days, when I do, I have a ton of fun. I generally just play Iron Banner, Trials (on new adept loot weeks) and whatever the seasonal challenges dictate. But playing mayhem the first week with peregrine greaves and 100 strength on Arc Juggernaut titan was so much fun, whether I won or lost. I think you are correct, that people lose sight of the fact a game is supposed to be fun! Anyways, good to see you back with another video, can't wait for the next one!
Thanks for watching! ❤️ and glad you’re havin fun :)
This video gave me mad feels. I needed this today. You are such a wonderful human.
Hey Pandel! I’m glad you liked it 💝💙 have a great night friend :)
This man is the warm heart of Destiny
You are the literal best. Your videos always come from a place of positivity and thoughtfulness, it makes me wish there was someone like you in every single gaming community.
I'm taking a break from D2 right now, but I'm going to be applying as much of your logic to the upcoming CoD as I can, and we'll see how far that gets me. Keep up the amazing work.
Thank you so much that’s very kind ❤️ and have a good time in cod :)
*Actually* bless you, friend, this is a topic that the PvP community has sorely needed to address for ages (but for some reason refuses to): why we play the game.
I really love your videos. The highest quality there is and you've moved the bar really high for everybody else.
Thank you :)
The beauty of Destiny 2 PvP has always been the variety to me. There are so many different ways to play this game now, that obviously it could never be considered a 'competitive' game, but I love it for that. I often get bored of other games because every match can sometimes feel the same because it's so well balanced. Destiny just hits different. I love loading into a Trials match and seeing some cracked player with 5000 Trials kills with their Cerberus+1, or matching a Titan who literally only kills other players via melee (21, 405 kills and counting last time I checked). Seeing those kinds of things always make me smile. You can play how you want and win or lose, you're having fun doing it.
Great content as always, Gjerda! Looking forward to seeing more.
Well said :) and thanks much! More soon
Thanks for this video, this came in clutch especially for some friends of mine who have been struggling to enjoy this game. Thank you a lot for this Gjerda
Sure thing ❤️ thanks for watching and sharing

To check your channel to see how your doing and find a new video posted a few minutes ago was marvellous. As always incredible work well spoken destiny man.
Ay nice timing haha, and thanks :)
@@Gjerda the universe finds a way! Glad your back and doing well 👌
Try cryosthesia guys. Use a reloader mod, or use Mechaneer's tricksleeves. A wave GL is great to get the initial kill, but if you want to snipe too that's cool. I have over 15,000 kills with it, always a fun time to freeze on demand.
I needed to hear this . Appreciate you bro
Great to see you back.
I play a lot of Destiny 2 (i work from home), and these tips are crucial to really enjoying the game.
I make many online friends to just jump in and have a good time
This was totally worth the wait. Can’t wait to see these other videos you have in the pipeline!
This is something it took me awhile to figure out, that niche area of pvp that I enjoy (tripmines baby!), gets the dopamine flowin. Nice video glad to see you are back!
I was already subbed but this vid got the bell icon out of me. Please continue to make these lovely D2 videos!
Thanks! I will :)
Gjerda glad to have u back man
You’re back! Much love to you and yours. Glad you take care of yourself.
Perfect timing, glad to see you back :)
Thanks for this video, I needed this mental reset!
he’s back baby. love you gjerda and the content is awesome
Thanks :)
Thank you so much for this and all you've done 🙏
❤️
Just joined your Patreon to support you. Love your work! 😊
And I'm really excited about the type of build videos you're working on
Thank you so much!
Lovely video man, thanks for this approach on the matter.
Thanks!
Absolutely loved this vid ❤
I love this video so much
Aw thank you so much friend 💛
Honestly excellent vid. Well said on all points.
I needed this
Being somewhere between trying and chilling, has been the secret sauce for me for a long time now. What a refreshing video, thank you for speaking your mind.
❤️
Welcome back! I was thining about you the other day :)
Thanks :)
very nice stuff, bro, love your attitude
Thanks
Seeing slug shotguns hit from midair...oh the good old days
One of my fondest pvp memories was grinding Mountaintop.
I was intimidated the grind, half of it was because I was not familiar with GL at all.
Next thing I knew I spent 3 days in IB, having the most fun I ever had with an Orewing Maul. I mercied, got mercied, even we ran'd with a weapon I thought I couldn't use. Then topped it off with a short trip to Fabled.
You're right. It's easy to fall into a lull once you reach a certain point. Destiny is partially to blame but so am I. I loved the feeling of being new again, trying things out and succeeding.
Maybe not double primary sidearms, but Forerunner and an SMG with Peacekeeper makes sense as a loadout but also viable ish
Glad to see ya back, bud.
the best birthday gift ever! welcome back
happy birthday!
Thanks! And happy birthday :)
Just like that... Gjerda... is... BACK! Great stuff as always. My harmonious off meta, just-too-fun-to-put-away build is DMT and the glaive. I've never had so much fun than with the Enigma in my hands, and shooting the DMT is just so great. The Glaive is like the Queen on a chess board. It just outmaneuvers all other special weapons. And it's the greatest 1v3 trials weapon possibly ever
Man, I wish I could literally give you 1000 likes for this.
❤️
gjerda videos are my favorite videos
Awesome change of perspective👍🏻
Very well put together video, great content!
My own approach to the crucible has been pretty much exactly this for quite a while and I've been having a blast, could never really put it into words though so this will be perfect to share and say "basically this" next time someone asks me how I can possibly be having fun in the video game.
Something extra worth pointing out is that this approach also leads to a lot more growth in your skills, having fun makes you way more receptive to learning and before you know it you'll realize you can't legitimately claim you're below average anymore lol
Thank you very much! And that’s a great added note, I totally agree, the funny thing is that taking it from a more chill approach usually results in higher skill too.
Looking forward to your new series
Given what's been flying through social's after two very-minor adjustments, your timing is incredibly impeccable. Welcome back 💜
Thanks :)
The GOAT is back.
Great video, good breakdown and so true and reasonable. We need more folks like you in pvp 👍
Thank you, appreciate it 🙏
The king returns.
thank you gjerda very cool
Honestly a great take! W video
Thanks dude :)
After your big vault cleanse video about hoarding and rng chasing, Im super curious about your thoughts on the crafting grind and how it improves/fails to improve on random rolls
OMFG so glad to finally see a new video from you dude! Can't believe it slipped under my radar for 3 whole days. I truly hope to see more from you every chance you get! Can't tell you how many times I've watched some of your videos. You've got great perspectives and opinions, and I you're always at the top of my list. I hope to hear your opinions on the trials slug soon 😊
Thank you very much! I appreciate it :)
Yes, as soon as I get my hands on a good roll I’ll make a vid for sure
@@Gjerda I can't wait 👍
before I watch I just want to say: for me digging through my vault and finding quirky weapons with odd rolls and jumping into elim (with absolute zero expectations) has been a really nice spark for my gameplay. A LOT of weapons I don't like, but a handful of ones that I end up using as a main for a few days and then mix and matching them into different loadouts. its nothing crazy, but it helps me not take pvp so seriously and has, I think, helped me improve as a player overall
NEW GJERDA CONTENT
Gjerda is the d2 philosopher we all need in our life.
You're my favourite youtuber and I love watching your videos, especially your shotgun video, and the palindrome fatebringer, and eyasluna videos. After seeing your opinion on those, would love to hear your opinions on the god roll craftable austringer.
Thanks so much
And okay sure thing, I can add that to the list
Our boy is back!
bruh that outro *chefs kiss*
He’s back oh praise Calus
The king is back
Thank god he's back :D
i have a friend i talk to while playing d2 its is even more enjoyable knowing he doesnt suffer
A new Gjerda video? Is this real life? Finally!
This is such a good video. I've hated pvp since I started playing the game but ever since I swapped to pc (1 month ago) I've been insanely good at it and I've been having so much fun. My secret is that I play in lower skill lobbies but I use Grey weapons so it balances out. I now love everything about destiny 2 (except gambit).
This never appeared in my feed even though I have notifications on :( great video regardless
Dang, UA-cam does that sometimes, it’s a bit evil. And thank you!
Welcome back friend!
Friend! Hi!
Hello!
@@Gjerda I'm really thankful for your videos, your point if view is refreshing!
I could related with you when you asked for hynra's groll heritage, getting hip fire grip is pretty difficult on it 😂
Well thought out
After many moons our enlightened guardian has made his return
GOOD LORD I HAVE MISSED YOU DUDE, THANK THE DESTINY GODS THERE IS A NEW GJERDA VIDEO🙏❤
❤️❤️❤️ good to be back!
my go to "im getting to mad at video games and need to calm down" build is just. getting botheration (the blue shotgun) out of collections, queuing in, and just not sprinting the whole game. people dont know how to react they flip out. and then Ya Just Bother On 'Em. botheration itself honestly isnt half bad either, it has autoloading and the same frame as felwinters.
cannot recommend it enough. try it sometime
This is a certified goob moment
Crucible Therapist has returned.
We need an after effects tutorial. This all looks relatively simple but what do I even look up to get this effect? "Floating liquid blobs" "wavy waves with splitting points" etc.
His Dudeness has returned, thank the Lord. You have been missed, I grabbed a cup of English Breakfast tea and made time for your video. I agree with your perspective totally. Looking forward to more.
BTW I would love to see you re visit your shotgun video after all the changes since your last one. That clip actually got me into shotguns ( I'd always avoided them before), so it will be wonderful to see.
Yeah episode 2 of shotguns will happen once the next patch hits for the spread pattern
@@Gjerda Then for next time I'll make a pot of tea!
HE BACK
This thumbnail go hard
Welcome back!
Thanks!
Wow, this video was actually so good. I have several friends that should watch this haha 😅
Haha thank you, and you should share it with them!
Hard pills to swallow: the game
Thank you for the insights though. This was really meaningful
Babe wake up, based Gjerda video
I have fun after watching ur videos
glad to here it :)
Been running a build with Rain of Fire, mythoclast, and the burden of guilt fusion and having a blast with it in comp
That sounds awesome
Recently got Vex mythoclast. But Im not good with it, and Ive been raging a lot. Ill try to rrmember this in my next crucible matches and I'll see how it goes.
(I love using Vex mythoclast though. My favorite gun. Just dont really know what to pair it with.)
WELCOME BACK
Thanks!
I started d2 in 2021, and my first impression of pvp was, don't ever play it again,
now after playing with friends and just being better at the game in general
I have fun playing pvp with silly builds and even sometimes some of them work really well
Only time I get mad anymore is when I get really long streaks of bad matchmaking lol
And on the 7th day Gjerda came down from his Ambien filled Twitter rants to bring us his best guide yet 🙏
Indeed
Love every bit of it. My current issue is that my match making hasn’t been a dice roll. I’m sitting around a 1.5 KD. Since their newest change to SBMM with making it looser I’ve been playing with only the top .1 percent. I’m talking 2.5 to 5 KD.
I’m trying hard to use anything that I know has worked in the past. But when I start the game at the back of the lineup and end each game with a .7 to .8. Idk man it’s hard not to wait for it to get better from the developers end.
my balanced approach is care about keeping my kd above 1.85, usually get teams who can’t see their screen so i don’t mind wins or losses. solo trials is fun and i’ve been able to go flawless every week since lightfall so i’m cheeeeeellin
As always, a kind slap to the face to all of us, and it feels good 😊
Me not having fun: That's it I'm getting me GLs
I didnt forget, they just nerfed everything I did because it was oppressive then gave me sbmm anyway (:
When we needed him most
I missed this so much.
Are we having a video on the inquisitor, boss?
Oh absolutely, once I can get the adept version
Gjerda, you are like my Destiny therapist. I stopped playing like two weeks ago bc of the exact reasons you mentioned. Maybe you’re right. I’ll come back with a renewed purpose.
Aw thank you haha, well if you come back and it ain’t fun, no shame in not playing! I just think if people DO decide to play, they gotta approach it carefully
Yep I decided to take a break because pvp just doesn't feel fun rn, but I have (a little) faith in the future.
