The Carnage Symbiote storyline is a given DLC. The first game set up the City Never Sleeps DLC with those Black Cat missions, and now in this game, we have those Flame missions with Wraith that set up Cletus Kasady with the Carnage Symbiote.

If we do get a showcase in the fall we could get a possible new wolverine trailer or gameplay alongside the spider man 2 DLC announcement
The only other time I can see DLC being announced for Spider-Man 2 would be in September if they do a showcase for the PS5 Pro. If it doesn't show up there, I don't think it will show up at all. Insomniac's schedule is probably all over the place right now due to the devastating leak last year and I think they're trying to focus on Wolverine and Spider-Man 3. PlayStation also is in a bine because of them cancelling most of their live service games that was supposed to come out this year and we only got Concord, Astro Bot, and Lego Horizon Adventures coming out. The PS5 Pro is coming out next year and they should be putting their sights on the fall for it. I hope we get DLC, but it's starting to look less likely.

God of War Ragnarok Valhalla update was a free one. That's why they (almost) shadowdropped it.
Will not be the case with Spider-Man 2, since they need people to actually buy the DLC.
My guess is they just are taking their time to release a disappointment-less update.

"nominated for many awards" didn't take any home at the game awards though. Jokes aside, I think we need to put the DLC talk to bed until we have something actually concrete. I keep seeing so many creators continuously talking about the DLC of this game and we aren't seeing anything from it. Focus on other things until something is actually discussed by Insomniac, I'm sure they're very busy right now.

I really think story dlc isn't happening. With the first game the dlc was announced almost immediately. And all that stuff from the leaks and all were just scrapped ideas or being used for other games

Spider-Man 2 was obviously rushed out by Sony.
They had all that time for the previous game, and that’s why is was longer (in my opinion story wise better) and already had DLC ready to go right after it’s release.

They really Hoed Peter when it came to giving him his alternate Symbiote suits...MILES has MORE Symbiote alts than he does ffs😐. Seriously where is the Back in Black Suit he used against Red Goblin!? Miles literally has his version from the same artist!🤦♂️

Ben Reilly’s Sensational Suit has to come first before Spider-Carnage, as the Carnage Symbiote bonding with his Suit was exactly how Spider-Carnage was born in the comics. And other than the Peter Parker that became Spider-Carnage in the 1994 Cartoon, not that many people know about Spider-Carnage anyways, since he was barely in anything.
Wouldn’t mind Spider-Carnage, but the Sensational Suit has been my most wanted Comic Suit for the longest time, and it’s infuriating that it’s just nothing more than a Spider-Bot.

Exactly I just wish they would just fix the game and I heard they are supposed to tweak the gameplay/combat and add some new mechanics and add the free dlcs and stop focusing on suits that do nothing.
I feel like insomniac is taking inspiration from Santa Monica studio and is just planning to release some DLC the year after Spider-Man 2’s release.
If there is a showcased for later this year, my guess is that it'll be in October because that's when Spider-man 2 dropped last year. Imagine Insomniac drops a Spider-man DLC trailer, plus a Venom game trailer, and a Wolverine trailer on top of that.
My prediction is in September we get the PS5 pro announced along with visual enhancements for Spider-Man 2, like better ray tracing and then also the dlc. If Sony is planning to do a ps5 pro this year, surely they’d have a big hit like Spider-Man 2 to show off what the new hardware can do.

The game has sold extremely well and they were clearly still doing something with it considering the files were still in the debug menu for the ng+ update. They are probably just taking their time and the hack they had definitely delayed things. I mean that delayed ng+ alone by several months do it likely had a larger impact on the dlc
the fact that we have gotten no dlc or updates regarding dlc reinforces the belief that this game was rushed. shoulda been delayed to add an extra 5-10 hours of gameplay and more time to work on dlc before the game dropped
They had no plans on doing it any longuer, and dlcs can release has much later has they want, they haven't even anounced it yet so.
I think after that hack they took a little time off because if they would announce something it wouldn't be a surprise. It still wont be part it won't be as fresh on people's mind.

Updates Spiderman 2 needs. Being able to change the coler of web wings, of course some dlcs, more tendril colors for Peter, more time of days, fix the dialongs for crimes, spider verse Spiderman 2099 suit for Peter, fixing the iron spider suit mask for Peter, being able to go in Peter and miles homes, and being able to change the color of Miles dash to orange or blue. These are the updates in my opinion that need to be in the game. Pin pls?

It honestly just feels like insomniac isnt as proud or excited about this game conpared to 2018. The marketing was almost non existent, they hardly talk about the game, its taking this long for DLC to come out if it even is coming out, Sony also bought them and definitely rushed them through the whole SM2 process. It just seems like they are more than ready to drop the project and move on. Im also getting the feeling that the final product isnt exactly the game they wanted to release.

I think the DLC will be announced whenever the showcase happens, but it will release late November/early December. This would be smarter as it would make Christmas sales go way up for the game, and if the DLC takes place in December they could make NYC snowy again so when people wanna play in the snowy NY they can swap to that DLC
See there's really only two villains possible for the dlc. Carnage and comeleon. Comeleon doesn't really fit for the dlc, and it would be better to be set up for the 3rd game. Carnage, tho fits the idea of being the dlc. In the first game, we had a black cat side mission and ended up getting a black cat dlc. And what do u know, we had an entire storyline for Carnage, not to mention a cletus Cassidy reference. Carnage dlc just seems to fit so well, especially when the main villain of the game was venom. That's just what I think, but even if we do get it, I think it'll be in like a year.
With how Sony probably rushed them to release this game, I wouldn't be surprised if Insomniac *wants* to take their time before a PR push
I’m a top hacker/leaker. So everything I say will be considered as “rumors” alright.
Next update will be our first DLC story mission releasing September 21, it’s about Spider-Man trying to get back the stolen symbiote that Cletus Cassidy stole. But he won’t appear in this DLC though, the big bad of this DLC will be Beetle.
Next story DLC is the 2nd one we’re getting on December 25th as a Christmas gift, maybe they’ll have plans for it to be free just like what GOW did with the Valhalla DLC. The main “big bad” of this DLC will be Chameleon.
Now I’m not sure if this is the last story DLC or not but I know only that the main “big bad” will be Carnage. That all, have a good day.
I’d rather hear about DLC for Spider-Man than something else Lego anything.. respectfully. Someone not spider based would give me hope for more variety. The secondary map could be the bay or something 🤷🏾♂️ do what gta did with new locations(bridges or construction zones)

I honestly dont buy that we're getting a big dlc, especially considering it was never previously announced unlike the first game. And also i feel people forget we're supposed to be getting a venom game next year akin to the Miles Morales release. So we expect them to release a big dlc, venom game next year and then wolverine the year after? A bit of an insane output to try and expect.
Caboose, i really like your channel for a long time now but did you really just make a almost 9 minute video about something we all knew. We know there will be a showcase in the fall and we know that if the dlc is happening soon, it will be shown there. And even then, if insomniac isn't getting rid of sweetbabyinc and their terrible writing team, the dlc will just be the sam amount of garbage that the base games story was.
I feel like either Sony or Insomniac are punishing us for the leak they had. Which would make sense, someone spoiled the surprise and now everybody wants it and the hype is still here, but they keep pushing it back.
