- Is it too late to start skateboarding? Personally I think it's never too late to start skateboarding. Whether you are 13 or 33 or 103, there are so many things that you can benefit from skateboarding.

When did you start skating?
I started when I was 11 or 12 but I quit for a long time and got back into it a few years ago.
Now I’m having more fun than I have ever had. Skateboarding brought joy back into my life! Seriously

I remember when I was 7 I was living in an apartment with my dad. I was outside playing with some toys when I saw a guy on a skateboard doing some tricks in the parking lot. That was when I stood on my toy truck and tried to use it like a skateboard. 6 years later I started skating for the first time and It was the best decision of my life.

Stood on deck for first time at 41. Still skating 6 years later and still loving it. Also, currently 68 parks into my goal to hit 100.

Just turned 55, been skating since 1976. Took most of the 90s off but started up again 20 years ago. It's been hard work to keep going but I wouldn't have it any other way.
I'm 34 and I always wanted to skate since I was a kid. Finally got my first board last year and never looked bad. I bring it everywhere and I feel proud of my progress so far. Appreciate the inspiration man and keep living your life, your energy is helping so many people. Infinite love

Started at age 44, will be 48 this year and skate every day. Peace ✌
Just started teaching myself to longboard. I broke my foot the very first day 💀 but months later here I am doing it all over again because I really want to learn. I’ve still got a bit of fear because of breaking my foot literally the first time I ever tried longboarding but I try to practice at least 15 minutes a day in order to build up my courage again

I sprained my ankle two days ago and I barely started to skate this week. I can't wait to fully heal up and get back on my board to keep learning, even just cruising is so much fun.
Hey man I'm 28 and despite a few injuries from overcommitting, I'm having the time of my life learning new stuff at different spots.
I made a promise to myself that I will start at the age of 10 and keep on going. And now I am always skateboarding because of one person. This guy.
Seeing someone that's good at skateboarding fall I think helps kids that are trying to skate and not seeing when people are failing just makes it so much harder

I had a skateboard when I was like 10 but I really only rode around on it occasionally and found it kinda hard I was too scared to ever try any tricks, but now I’m 19 and decided I wanna get back into it and actually try this time!! Just gotta wait till Spring to actually be able to get out there 🙌

That's really good bro, the ollie is the most fundamental trick and if you practice it every day even after you learn new tricks you can do crazy shit with it

never too late man , I started again last spring at 35 , I skated in my prime years of 13 yr olds in the late 90s and early 00s , I stopped when i was around 19, 20 back after a 15 year ish break

I enjoy the ride and the feeling of freedom skateboarding gives you. It's a feeling that I can't have while riding a bicycle.. I'm struggling doing ollie's but I know if I keep practicing I can nailed it. Feels good to see some experienced skateboarders like you helping the new ones and encouraging them to keep them practicing and not let thier passion just sit there.. Enjoy life, ride and be happy. I dig the vibes in your videos man. Very chill, and down to earth. Like you said it seems like so many take it crazy serious. I just got a board, and haven't even taken it out of the house yet.. 😂 🤣 I can't really skate in the house either tho, but I have learned how to get into rail stands, do a popcorn, and pogo. I can't even do a proper pickup, but I can do a finger flip lol 😂. Also, I'm over 40, so it's all kinda sketchy, but I can't wait until the snow melts here, and I can fine a flat piece of pavement to try something on. There's not many places here to just cruise, so I'll probably just aim for freestyle stuff if I can. My parents dont suport me i broke my board 3 days ago and i dont have money to buy other one my parents dont Want to buy me one i felt in love with skateboarding but i dont have friends to skate with i dont have supportive People to me and greatfull People who can realy help me. Bro I started last year at 25. I'm 26 now and I still feel like I suck because all I can do is ollie but I'm still glad I started because skating has always fascinated me but I never committed to wanting to learn over the fear of injury. For some reason, I got over that fear and just did it. Since I started, it's definitely made me a lot happier.

I just bought a skateboard, im 17 and a half and its a 8.5 board, kinda liked the experience in zumiez and kinda cheap for an tiny bubble on the grip tape but I like the design of mushrooms and it was 86 instead of 96 for a discount for the bubble but im really excited to start off ^^

@@thrasher_masher9496 yes I am very thankful, one of my friends dislocated his left elbow but he still is teaching me, I started when I posted this comment and I can now probably 90% can push myself with one foot instead of shifting to move, the hardest part is balancing and not doing the stop thing when you lean and fall forward lol.
