i found some wheels on the bulky waste and skated them. theyre now on 48mm and have a few flat spots so i swapped them with some no names that are 54mm. id replace them with spitfires for sure.
58mm spitfire f4s full conical 97a literally saved my fkn life as a dude who wants to skate crusty asphalt and smooth park ground too. Hes telling the truth!
@@newangels1995 I rode a friends spare set of dragons for a while, but I preferred the result from form4s. I found that the spitfires are a little less grippy and better for smooth park ground.
The softer the wheel the smoother the ride, however you trade off smoothness for ease of sliding. So if you do a lotta reverts and power slides just stick with spitfires. OJ's flat spot easily unfortunately
I had these wheels back in my skating days when I didn’t have a car, Needed the best of both worlds for busting missions and hitting the skate park all-in-one 😂😅
highly agree, formula 4s and, eric dressin oj wheels are the best, the oj wheels might be a little harder to get your hands on so thats why i also like the formula 4s because they feel pretty similar but are easier to find, but i personally like the ojs better
I might try and cop these, I've never been able to power slide with my wheels since they're so grippy. Thanks for sharing! Alright, I just got these wheels and Holy hell they are really good! I just learned to powerslide and reverts
if you like to cruise around alot and also do tricks but are to broke to own a cruiser board and a trick board, get powell peralta dragon wheels. Powerslides great, runs over bumps really smooth, and you feel like you're gliding on a smooth surface like a skatepark.
Got formula 4’s. Last time I tried doing a powerslide on my board I ended up with a permanent scar on my back from concrete. I gave up on learning how to powerslide

thanks so much! my best friend and I just started skateboarding last week and she isn't happy with her wheels, so I'm definitely going to look into getting her these!
ive used them since the 90s, but for regular street and just cruising id say Orbs pugs those are extremely good for going through the city fast. but i agree if u need to grind and do flips etc during that run then the F4´s are the way
I just found out about your channel and i love your videos 🙏 ive been riding for awhile but am now finally starting to attempt tricks so i just bought these wheels
I've been watching your vids for a month or so now, and you've convinced me to ask my parents to buy me a skateboard. It's probably going to take a lot of persuading, because my parents have said that skating is both too dangerous and too masculine for girls 🙄. You've given me confidence though! Also, your music taste is so chill. Thank you!🛹❤️👍
Well tell them I'm a girl and I've been skating a lot the past summer with a helmet on and elbow pads and it was super fun learning the ollie and shove it. I might have fell a couple of times but if you fall the right way you'll be fine. Anyways, most sports can be dangerous. Both girls and boys can do it.
I skate 56mm with no risers, and i got wheelbite once, and I just put a sticker above all the wheels. Then they just slide on the stickers, which means i dont get wheel bite at all. Seriously, tho you gotta try this
I have this wheel set I got on my 13th bday, they're called Spitfire Trujillo Park Burners, honestly I have no idea what grade or formula they are, but theyve never flatspotted l, never coned out because I rotate them after every session. I swear to God you can slide all day on them on any terrain. I still keep them on my park board even though they're probably down to almost half they're size now xD
wow 58mm, pretty big. I like to ride 54mm, 99a spitfire conical or more recently 97a santa cruz slime ballz. they are hard enough to slide, soft enough to grant good grip on all kinds of ramps and handle the roughness of street spots a bit better than 99 and above hardness. only wish they were a little bit more narrow, cause with 36mm they are rather wide, the spitfire conicals of the same size are only 32mm and same riding surface. anyway I would like to try out the OJ nomads next (95A tablet shape), would like some more reviews on those.
Nice video! We are identical twins who both enjoy skateboarding. We currently ride a mini logo complete board. It’s a great board. We have the mini logo 90a wheels 53mm. We tried 99a wheels but they seemed to not run very well on really rough pavement. Anyone know what rating of wheel we should ride for rougher grounds? We still want to be able to do power slides and Ollies.
These, 99a radial F4, OJ 99a hardlines, and OJ 95a nomads I recc to anyone. Spitfires for easier power slides, etc. OJs for quieter, slightly smoother ride with good grip and control, still can power slide tho slightly harder to hold slides with OJs. Nomads slide way easier than hardlines imo. Radials slide easiest of the four wheels.
i have these in 54mm, theyre amazing i wouldnt say theyre good all around though, especially if you live in an area with rougher roads (the board stops in like 5 meters on bones reds lmao), so i just use these at the park if your roads arent the best, ricta clouds are really good from experience (i have the chrome clouds, 54mm 86a and theyre really nice for rougher terrain)
@@DahliaRosegz nah they soak up the bumps and vibrations so you go way farther when you push i recently switched back to my harder spitfire four wheels because im building a cruiser, and it was pretty insane how much more i had to push

same situation with my area too and I've narrowed down my list to ricta clouds 92a, oj nomads 95a, and spitfire 97a conical fulls. from what I've gathered, clouds are the grippiest since they're the softest but you can still do tricks on them, and is really good for rougher spots. The nomads are tablet-shaped so you get a wide riding patch but narrower wheels so they're not heavy, still good for rough spots, and can still slide and revert. The spitfire 97a's are really good from what I've heard but if you have crustier spots you may either get shock pads with it or get a slightly bigger wheel. they are very easy to slide and revert and the conical full shape offers a very wide contact patch although it's a bit heavier than the nomads. I've mostly been looking at 54mm-sized wheels since I'm coming from 99a 52mm wheels. as for my decision, I think I'm gonna go with the clouds since I'm still a beginner and i want to ride around my board a lot so the softer duro of the clouds will help with the really crusty roads in my area then once i get a feel of things, i might either try the nomads or the spitfires. hope this helps :)
