Thankyou so much for the only video I can find of cladding the interior of a typical metal agri shed. It’s given me hope that I can make mine not only look better but warm in case I get change of use in planning one day. Thankyou
I watched your video and did the strengthen boards in my building. The only difference is I used a full 4x8 sheet of polypro, foil against the metal. I cut a 2 inch strip the length and applied it to the foil side. That way there is a gap between metal wall and foam board. I realize we all are doing the best we can, as there is no "Standard" way. Thank you for your video, you did an awesome job.

Nice job. Good size shed too. Is there any need for any other membrane? Thinking vapour barrier, condensation? And will you be insulating roof? Keep up good work!
Yeah that’s my thought too. Steel exterior would sweat on the inside and hopefully not water-log the insulation or corrosion. I assume that a building wrap/membrane against the steel should be added first.
Great job bosco fair play, can i ask what size is the shed?as im looking to buy one in the spring and will need it to be at least 10 feet wide and 14 feet long, your shed looks a decent size, great idea putting the beams in for a more rigid structure and for hanging stuff off
75mm from my local hardware store in Co. Wicklow. Any Chadwicks type builders merchants will stock them. They are commonly known as Kingspan sheets but you don't need to buy the Kinspan brand. I used Quinn as you can see. Thanks for watching.
The panels i fitted on the video are still good. The shed still isn't finished (life getting in the way) As you can see in the video the insulation is jammed in on a tight fit so don't need any other glueing etc. Thanks for watching!
Did you do the roof the same way? Trying to figure out how to insulate my shed corrugated metal roof and dampen down rain now at the same time, any tips? Thanks!
The shed does suffer from condensation but the ply board is showing little in the way of deterioration. I will EVENTUALLY get the rest of the shed insulated including the roof. I will post a video then. Thanks for watching!
can i ask did you put the concrete slab down first then build the shed or did you build the shed first the get the slab poured? if you did the shed first how did they do the slab? did they run a pipe in through the door or did they wheel barrow ir in or something?
The slab was poured first then the shed HOWEVER the shed company told me that i should have spoken to them first as the floor needed to come up the width of the box section at the bottom to stop rainwater flowing across the floor. Which had to be done by hand. Which sucked!
Might be a silly question but whats the point in the extra wooden beams? Is it for screwing in the ply after? I am doing this soon with a very similar steel frame shed
Not silly at all! Yes mostly for attaching the ply sheets as the gaps are wider than the sheets and if the wood wasn't there the ply would bow outwards but also for attaching things like shelving or cabinets etc in the future. Thanks for watching!
Great video and straight to the point, I’m needing a 12metres by 4 metres garage and looking at different options, did you buy this and put it up yourself? Thanks.
Thanks for watching! I had a local company come in and assemble the shed on top of a concrete plinth that I had poured. It took them 4 days ir so to finish.
Thanks for posting. I recently had a metal garage erected on a gravel base and am looking at different insulation methods. Also, considering pouring a concrete floor inside at a later date.
What did you do with the floor, did you pour concrete after building the shed. I wanted to do that to stop water getting in but not sure if that will block moisture getting out. Did you add a vent anywhere?
The shed was built over a large concrete plinth and bolted down. A very dry mix of concrete was spread by hand to bring the level of the floor up to the height of the box steel. It rained before this and streams of water could be seen flowing across the floor. The floor is much dryer now.

If you pour after building the shed, you run the risk of corrosion starting from the wet concrete.

The weakest point is the cross on your ply timber. You should offset them like brickwork. Other than that great job.
True but it is not structural so I question if it matters.
