Also, glad to hear that you sub-out the drywall installation to mechanics who's skilled will match the level of finish you expect to have once completed. The project looks good and on schedule :-)
Wow, I appreciate this so much, Derrick!! I did my best to make sure it was done as accurately as possible! As I mentioned in the video, I probably over-stapled, but I'd much rather too many staples and tape than not enough. I appreciate knowing that I did it well! ❤️ Thank you!!

I am just about to start preparing for insulation. I was told by my wall board contractor to install furring strips on my angled ceiling and flat ceiling. It would have made your installation of insulation much easier as well as support your wall board better.
Omg totally hear you! I take my time estimate, multiply by 2, then by 4 🤣. Every project. Every single one. Basement, kitchen, closet, pantry, camper... all of them. But, I'd rather take the time and get the result I want. Pantry almost cost a relationship but we recovered 🤦♀️. Thanks for your awesome posts and motivation Serena!
Haha, "almost cost a relationship." I can understand that!! I can't do any projects with my husband. He stayed away from the shed for that very reason. 😉 When you multiple by 4, is that usually enough time? I soooo misjudged how long this would take me!
Amazing work!!! Love your work! Loved the details on the insulation, I have been looking for a video on how to insulate my shed and they really don’t show how to ventilate your shed. My shed has a ridge line on the ceiling and lots of dirt comes in thru there so I was wondering how to go about insulating the ceiling. You did an amazing job by yourself! You have inspired me to get my junk out of my shed and make it into an amazing space, thank you so much for sharing your amazing work! Loved your video ❤️!
I had the drywall installed professionally, and I decided on knockdown. One issue we have encountered is the shed inside is causing the mud to dry slow. I have a 12x20 shed with a residential door, two windows in the front and one in the back. Roof has a ridge vent. I installed the baffles(black) and drilled the holes in the wall before installing them and the insulation. I added three vents in the front, but haven’t done the back yet. I just saw your video on ventilation so I need to find ones with screens in them. I live in Northern Ga and the temp has dropped recently. I have condensation in all my windows a d a little confused why. They aren’t double pane windows, just the basic stock from Tuff Shed. I figured the condensation was the difference of inside/outside air si I got a oil filled heatwr and have the shed at a constant 70deg, but still have condensation. I am putting a Minisplit in Monday. Just worried a out the condensation issue. Have you seen this with your shed?
Wow, you are so good! I learned so much from this video and it's honestly such a joy to watch and follow along. Loved the ninja joke, about your little hoodie for the ceiling insulation install, lol! 🤣
Thank you for posting your project. I need to insulate and sheetrock my shed next! Definitely going to try the Rock Wool. Great info and great advice!! Subscribed & Notified now ❤
YAY, glad to have you, Kate! You'll love the Rockwool. It comes so highly recommended by many talking about insulating. Just read the reviews and you'll see how much people love it! :) Good luck and I hope it goes well for you!
Very nice work. Although the drywall is easy to do on the walls, the ceiling and especially the skylights would have been a challenge. Good call having the professionals come in for the drywall and finishing, they have already gone through the learning curve process and you don't have to deal with all of that mess.
I smiled the entire video. Im so proud of u🤗🤗That is quite a task ur tackling. If I had 10% of ur drive, I'd prolly finish one of the 20 projects I've started😁
Aww, thank you!! I think what holds me accountable, too, is knowing I have to come back to UA-cam to report out on how things turned out! 😂 It keeps me moving along when there are days when I feel like just bingeing on Netflix in my pajamas. Haha!
Thank you for all the Tuff shed videos. I'm doing a half shed / half home office build soon and these have all been a huge help in making things easier. Initially I was going to get a 12x16 shed, but the space I have allows larger so I'll be going with a 15x16 instead. Good and done I thought. However, my initial plan was to do a 12x16 Premiere Pro Ranch with a lofted area on one side, but going with the larger width changes the roof structure and removes the ability for a roof loft so I'm back to the infinite drawing board of options and decisions. Do you know how much extra it was to go with the Scissor trusses on yours? It doesn't look like that'll give any room for a loft either but It looks like I should be able to put an extra shelf upper on the wall to utilize the extra room. Thank you!
I looked through your previous videos but don't think you ever mentioned it. What roof pitch is this on your shed? It looks like a good amount of extra room and if going with scissor trusses.
Me too!! By the look of what they accomplished, it would have taken me 4 weeks and they knocked it out in 1.5 days! LOL. They'll be back in a few days to do the final sanding and then I can prime and paint! WOOHOO!
Yay!! I was wondering if you were going to attempt the drywall alone!! I know you could it but I also know you need some extra hands especially for the ceiling! Great job again! As usual!
Girrrrrl, they have 3-4 dudes holding up the ceiling drywall! I would have rented a drywall lift, but it would have been very slow and tedious. So glad I hired that out!!! I think they'll be here tomorrow to do the sanding. Primer and paint coming!
Lol girlll!! I knew you couldn't do it alone even if you used all the equipment!! Sometimes we need help and that's ok!! You have done so much on your own ! I'm still so proud of you!! And I know one day we will meet !! So we can share some minor diys cuz you're doing big girl diys now 😆
thank you for posting this. my 10x20 tuff shed studio pro arrives end of week and i feel very intimidated by the sheer scope of what it takes it turn it into an office. your video and recommendations definitely helped me understand a few things. thanks again!
Glad I could help! It definitely isn't a quick process if you're doing it yourself. But it's also very rewarding when you do it yourself. :) Let me know if you have any questions as you tackle things!
OMG, yes!! My shed is HOOOOOT. I had a couple guys come and give me quotes for mini splits. I haven't received their quoted offers yet, but I'm ready to move forward. The skylights and windows definitely add to the heat inside. But I would much rather blast a mini split than to NOT have lots of windows and skylights! Hope you can cool yours down, too!
Woa! Just discovered you today…how is that possible? lol. Great content. I need all these how to videos. I am converting my garage (which is like a shed because it was built in 1930 and is detached from my house) into my Puros and Music Workshop for my Cigar and woodworking video podcast. Brava to you!! Love your shed!
Great video. Very detailed. One suggestion: A lot of my trade buddies said they put on a thicker layer of lotion to areas of their skin. It gives you a cover over your pores so the insulation doesn't make you itch. Have you tried that yet?
I am still trying to complete my shed. Given that professional help is so hard to find (electrical), progress has been slow. I have a question about my shed wall. The builders did not put paper on the inside of my shed walls. What should I put on my shed walls before putting insulation on? I also plan to use Rockwood Comfortbatt.
Great video. I’m converting an old two story shed into a first floor pool house and second floor office. I live in Delaware. Is a vapor barrier need it for my location or just the use of insulation with the backing? I also have skylights with vents on opposite sides of the walls. You’ve given me a good idea on how to finish up around the skylights. Thanks.
Glad I could help with framing out those skylights! I'm not actually sure if you'd like a vapor barrier or not. This part tripped me up, too. Keep researching and see what you find. I'm in Maryland and figured I needed it since my insulation didn't have the vapor barrier attached to the back. You're close to me in DE, so I'd say yes.
Great video! I am confused though. At the beginning of the video someone was hanging the thick plastic sheeting but when you were putting in the insulation it didn't appear to be there. Did I miss something?
Sorry for the confusion! The clip at the beginning was showing you a look ahead at what I was going to be doing. It wasn't the first step. It was insulation first, then plastic vapor barrier. Hope that solves your confusion!
Yesss, it's very good! I would agreed with reviews that say it's crumbly, so you have to be carefully with it. The R-15 was more dense, but the R-30 was very crumbly. But it's a good product!!
LOL!!!! I know, right! I hate when long delays happen between videos! UA-cam dings you if you don't post more often. They make a channel shrivel up and die. LOL. I ain't dying get, UA-cam!!! :) Thanks so much, Grace! I will have the drywall video this week!
I have another idea to insulate your shed. Go get carpet padding, and a box of 20 mule team borax, and a cattle panel. Put the cattle panel on some sawhorses, lay the padding on the cattle panel, sprinkle with borax, spray with a garden hose and let it dry. This keeps out bugs and it costs a lot less than the regular insulation at the big box stores. And it keeps the carpet padding out of the landfill!😁

Me too!! By the look of what they accomplished, it would have taken me 4 weeks and they knocked it out in 1.5 days! LOL. They'll be back in a few days to do the final sanding and then I can prime and paint! WOOHOO!
@@ThriftDiving you go girl
Excellent Job
Great work!
Thanks, Jeanine!
You’re a bad ass! Enjoyed the video and learned some good tricks! Thank you!
Love your videos. Do you have a video about insulating the floor from underneath a portable building? I can’t seem to find any on UA-cam.
Fantabulous 👏🙌 great work mam i like people who works alone 😌👍
I know, right! Almost feels like cheating when you have more than one person or help! 😂
@@ThriftDiving 🤣🤫
Just got a shed. About to go through a bunch of your videos
Woohoo, congrats!! Good luck pulling your shed together!
Awsome video bravo 👏😊. I'm on a budget,do you know what other type of brand can I use to insulated my garage ceiling ?? I'm a diy gal 😊
This was an amazing video ! I got a new shed and realized it's so hot !
WOW!! what a job! 😬
That's what I'm thinking, Janet! 😂 Happy to be passed that part!
Really nice work. Thank you for sharing
Thank you for sharing your experience.
How’s the venting coming along? Is it doing the job? Looking around for answers on how to do it and this seems like the most straight forward answer.
I’m also using Rockwool
Thanks for the advice on your project ❤
Thank you!!!!! Exactly what I needed!
Great video. Very detailed. One suggestion: A lot of my trade buddies said they put on a thicker layer of lotion to areas of their skin. It gives you a cover over your pores so the insulation doesn't make you itch. Have you tried that yet?
This video is awesome I learned so much thank you for sharing 👍
Would it be worth trunking the wiring to prevent you cutting into it in the future?
Premature statement. My bad. Excellent Visio. You rock!
😜😜😜 Thank you!
Fantastic video! Thank you!!!
Hello. Watched your video. Great content. What is that compressor that you're using? What's it's capacity?
how did you conquer the issue you gad on how to let your building breath did you put the vents in or exactly how did you do it
Wow. Thank you. Great job
.
definition of a super woman! yu killed this project girl 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Aww, thank you!!
OMG.I think I can do that too.Gona take forever fo me but it's doable. THANK YOU
Lovely!
Thanks so much, Elizabeth!
great work
Great video.
Need this answered !! Realize that too
Sorry for the confusion! The clip at the beginning was showing you a look ahead at what I was going to be doing. It wasn't the first step. It was insulation first, then plastic vapor barrier. Hope that solves your confusion!
Nice, Rockwool is the good stuff.
Yesss, it's very good! I would agreed with reviews that say it's crumbly, so you have to be carefully with it. The R-15 was more dense, but the R-30 was very crumbly. But it's a good product!!
Outstanding!
Is there a link to your ventilation baffles?
What are the dimensions or model of your shed? I definitely like the model I would like to know 🙂
Please don’t take long to put up the next one. I am checking morning and evening for videos. I feel like a stalker
