They're displayed as normal people yet the average person isn't like this which is what makes them fascinating. It's like an older Always Sunny In Philly but with better chemistry and relateableness. Always Sunny still amazing though.
Kids may not like it today but in terms of writing, Seinfield was way ahead of its time. They were very good at making amoral people likeable and relatable yet you don't wanna say you'd do these things. The writers were also very good storytellers and could write multiple storylines in one episode. The show was very relateable in terms of the situations and things they go through but the avg person would handle it very differently

As someone part of Gen Z (a Zillennial), I enjoy watching Seinfeld and got into watching Seinfeld when I was 17, 6 years ago. I think that this show does hold up and still holds up to this day, because of the plot, the relatability, the issues, and how pretty realistic it is. Many people are so sensitive nowadays. Not saying that we shouldn't be sensitive and empathetic towards others, but there's a point when you have to go and say, "Hey, this is still relatable. This is still relevant. Yes, it has a few flaws and errors, but it still holds up!" People need to learn how to relax and not take everything so literal. That's when things can also become an issue. Not everything has to be literal. Laugh at others, laugh at yourself. Laugh at the funny things and the mistakes. That's how we learn, grow and connect.

Jerry choosing the drowsy pill so he can play with the toy collection is funny because he's so unwilling to set aside his selfishness. Loved the episode, but my main issue was that there seemed to be a confusion where some Reacters thought it was, "Would this be appropriate in 2018?" compared to, "Would a 2018 audience enjoy this content?" Though there's definitely some overlap.
There were some points where a Reacter would say, I think it would be appropriate in 2018, and didn't hit on whether they thought it would be popular.

Yep. There's a reason Sunny is refered to as Seinfeld on crack.

If South Park can still be shown on the air in 2018, literally any other show can too. I don't see the point of this series

Does it hold up? Seinfeld never went nowhere, people still love it today. Hulu bought the show for $150 milllion just for the streaming licence 2 years ago.

Seinfeld is an iconic show. Hilariously funny and definitely pushing the limits for that time. Some of the greatest lines (phrases) came from this show. It can definitely stand today, hence why they still show it on TV.

Why do they consistently miss the fact that the show centers around making fun of it's characters, one of my favorite things about Seinfeld is that they always make a point to highlight that what they are saying is wrong by bringing in characters to chastise their foolishness

And they don't even really need to say it- that's the point of the show, that the characters are assholes

I’ve always loved how the characters would make a big deal out of something that’s stupid that’s what made it so funny some people just don’t understand the concept I don’t think

Despite the fact that I was never really a big fan of the show in the first place, 20 years after the finale of Seinfeld aired the show is still on television in syndication. That fact alone proves that it "holds up", because there are still enough people watching it 20 years later to warrant it being brought back and kept on the air in syndication.
