went on the new refurbished valhalla today and i still think this theme tune is still better than the new current soundtrack
Can't believe they going to change this music , it's one of the best soundtrack for any ride ever

The new music is not in the same league.
On 28th of October 2023 (Sat) I had my first visit in BPB (I'm from Germany). That main melody of the new soundtrack is just stuck with me, it's so epic. I'm listening to this video right now, it's also good but I think I like the new theme more.
The ride itself is now my no.1 dark ride / water ride, easily. And easily best ride at BPB for me.
If the soundtrack doesn't return when it reopens I'll be pissed
No matter how cold it was outside,I still went on it every time over and over again. Valhalla and Icon are one of my fav rides. :-)
I agree, I'm glad we have the same point of view as not alot of people like this ride due to how soaked you get but I think it's brilliant even during winter or February

Love this Viking Themed music, I really hope they don't get rid of this wonderful soundtrack after the refurbishment of Valhalla which is taking place the whole of the 2020 season 👌
Now 2021 we have to wait a whole year again 😡😡😡

@@ThemeparkDylan Unfortunately Yeah 😢. You feel for BPB, It's such a shame for them that they had to delay Valhalla with 2021 being Pleasure Beach's 125th anniversary but it is what it is and I'm sure they will celebrate Valhalla's reopening in 2022 👌😊

This ride has been and always will be the best water ride anywhere. The soundtrack, the theme, the effects, everthing is visually stunning. I will admit the effects can be very unreliable and that goes for the ride too but it is going to be considering the amount of money that it costs to run and update it. For people complaining about how soaked you get, well it's a water ride for starters what were you expecting and the fact that it warns you that you'll get drenched. The only complaint I can understand about this ride is that before it even starts the boats are filled with quite a bit of water which causes your feet to become soggy and wet all the way through. Upon saying that the boats constantly move and so there isn't really any time to drain the water out. They try there best but you got to give them credit for managing that ride when its heaving in summer

Me and my daughter went on this ride yesterday, it was fantastic. Very atmospheric
It’s been closed for a ‘reimagining’ for over a year now.
Love this track. Blackpool pleasure Beach may have lost some good solid dark rides over the years but it still has some real good ones with river caves and a Wallace and Gromit but Valhalla beats the lot. Even though your guaranteed a drowning!
Apparently The Notable Stranger (The composer who wrote the Icon Music Theme) is also involved with the Valhalla refurb coming in 2022...I seriously hope they're not planning to replace this epic music.
Just a little guess: they might keep this song in the station area and maybe lift Hill, but the new music could possibly be scene music for each scene 😊.

This ride used to be *FANTASTIC* when I used to go back 12 or 13 years ago. Ive read a lot of comments suggesting that it isn't as good as it used to be although I don't know why.
COME ON THIS SONG WAS A BANGER ME AND MY FAMILY USED TO SCREAM IT FROM THE TOP OF OUR LUNGS WHEN RIDING IT, WE ALWAYS WENT ON THIS RIDE EVEN WHEN IT WAS FREEZING WE WENT EVERYTIME WE WENT TO BLACKPOOL PLEASURE BEACH, DID THEY SRS HAVE TO GET RID OF THIS SOUND TRACK?!

Absolutely this was the best ride in the pleasure beach by a mile ,cant wait to take my son when it re opens again ,just hope it retains the music and is as good or better than it was if they can top it ,as people say on here it was world class ,it was world class the way it was 👌

I agree that the old theme should of been kept it just doesn't sound the same now and also the fire and the ice room should of also been kept I haven't rode it yet but when I have I shell not be impressed from what I have seen and heard
I am quite annoyed as when I was 14 2014 I 1st went pleasure beach went the max and this ride absolutely loved it and finally now in 2021 the year I finally go back it's closed but know this I will return next year and every year just to go on this

It's also the wettest dark ride in the world ... scientists have shown that you get more wet from 6 minutes on Valhalla than you do from a 6 minute bath.

Chloe Louise also when I first when on it it was 2 years ago I was swearing 🤬 at the ride but now when I when On it on it yesterday I loved it I’m actually from Colchester but I’m on Halliday at Blackpool I went to the dungeons on Sunday. The dungeons was the best thing ever. Now I’m at home 🏠 I love Blackpool
