I really love Galactica and it’s theming. I love how it doesn’t really have a “scary” theme like most of the other big 7 rides, it’s just all about having a fun space adventure and that’s what makes it unique from the other rollercoasters.
I never thought anything could top Nemesis' astounding score but this is just another level, That 3.00 mark with that vocal and the drums just feels like taking off and leaving everything behind.
Dan Firewolf Thorpe oblivion’s soundtrack is better same with the smilers and wicker man
@@mrquavers Bare in mind that my comment was 3 years ago and Wicker Man wasn't actually around then,I do love Wicker Man's Theme but there is just a moment of absolute euphoric abandon at the point I mentioned before in Galactica's track. The Smilers repetitive soundtrack works fantastically as it really does show the "factory/production line" progress that seems to be part of TMOJs plans with The Smiler. Oblivion I could always take or leave it, It was never anything special to me but it did fit the ride, I just think something more atmospheric would be more suiting now.
What I have just done is explained my reasons rather than just saying my opinion is better than yours...
@@danfirewolfthorpe4550 I 100% agree with this, galactica's sound score has a certain level of Greatness to it, and it makes me feel as if I'm alone in outer space (which is what it's meant to do). The wicker man theme as good as a ride theme, same as the smiler and nemesis and oblivion and 13 and rita, but Galactica's just feels like more than a ride theme. could be in a movie or something lmao
The Galactica soundtrack is so beautiful, this legit makes me tear up everytime I listen to it
2:00 is the best part in my opinion as it sounds so extraordinary and beautiful!

This is probably the ride with the best music at Alton Towers. I managed to listen to a lot of its soundtrack when I went earlier this week, and it's beautiful. Oblivion is also up there with its fast-paced drum beats and that other instrument.
The part at 4:17 is my favourite part.
This is my favourite part too I heard it when I went to Alton Towers. But i did not ride Galactica

Galactica, or rather it’s earlier incarnation Air was the first rollercoaster I’d ever been on. I love how it’s gained such an amazing soundtrack since then with a mix of orchestral score, dubstep and live vocals that cannot be beaten
As being an ex employee at Alton towers, I always listen to this as it brings back the memories of working there. Especially when your stationed on Nemesis/Galatica. Thanks for the Upload!

Galactica is such a good re theme here at Alton Towers. The Music is amazing and making the station indoors with the new walls added in was a great idea. It’s only the VR that got hate and that it was not optional on Opening Day, this is my new number 3 Ride at Alton Towers.

I wish that they would change the theme park now that its gibe just do it better. I know that will 100% never happen but this song would still work for air and then 2 soundtracks would alternate
This is my favourite ride!
I went on 'Air' yesterday. It's one I've been wanting to ride since it opened, but just hadn't been back to Alton Towers since childhood. 'Air' was fantastic, not really long enough, but that's kind of endemic with British coasters'

I got stuck on Galactica and had this song playing for about 10-15 minutes!
Luckily you got stuck on a coaster with a beautiful soundtrack like Galactica.. You could've been stuck on the Smiler!

seeing as the theme only plays in the station and not the actual train cart thing, because there's no on ride speakers.
Plus even if the soundtrack was playing, it would be good

@@NextDavidAttenborough I'd rather be stuck on any other coaster over Galactica (apart from Smiler on the vertical lifthill) just due to the restraint system. Its comfortable but lying down for ages would be terrifying lol

Only went to Alton towers recently it being my second major theme park and air is in my top 3 rides to both Thorpe park and Alton towers

I absolutely love the theming of this ride, and the soundtrack of course, and I really hope that they turn the rest of the area into a space themed area rather than having the whole 'forbidden valley' just being carried by the kind of Nemisis theme vibe. Space would be much better as Nemisis is an alien thing so they don't even have to change that but a more futuristic vibe to the whole area would be much better and also a replacement for the place where Ripsaw used to be as that is barely used anymore.

You don’t understand the back story of the forbidden valley, once there was an excavation site at Alton towers where they found a large egg and it cracked and the nemesis was unleashed, the idea was you tried to battle the nemesis on the ride, galactica is tied in as people wanted to escape the conflict and misery of the nemesis so the first space travel company took people away from the war and it was an oasis to the melancholic forbidden valley.
galactica is best coaster at towers and the whole world because the ride is so relaxig and smooth and sountrack slaps every time

Now the VR is gone, operations r way faster and the queue is way shorter. Yesterday the queue was 85 mins, it probably would've been 150 mins with the VR
This song is I guess a better piece of music than the old Air theme, but goddamnit I miss the old Air theme so much.

While this track is beautiful and atmospheric I dont think it's the best soundtrack of the park. Nemesis is still up there for me with its dramatic orchestral thrilling cinematic sound.

Literally my first upside down coaster was the smiler, *DO not recommend it* , gave me a headache for the rest of the day, PS nobody goes to the forbidden valley first so it’ll be like a twenty minute wait. Sadly, this message came a year later when we are living in a corrupted word where we wish we can escape on *G A L A C T I C A space industries* to another cosmos

I want to go on galactica but I’m a bit frightened. Mainly because of the part after the portal can someone please help meeeeee 😰
Trust me, the ride is nowhere near as scary as it may look. None of the inversions really feel like inversions, the section when you are on your back is actually quite relaxing and the restraints feel very secure. It's an excellent ride, and I definitely recommend going on it if you're up for it.

It's a good soundtrack and all but FOR ME, it just doesn't quite fit the park as nicely as Air's soundtrack did. It was nice queuing for Air listening to the soundtrack, but the Galactica soundtrack is too damn loud for the queue experience to be enjoyable
So you say you rather travel AIR than the GALAXY, you want to feel the BREEZE instead of the UNIVERSE CONDUCTING LIFE. Literally bro why do u like air so much, I got bored of the many years it was the same ride, the change was significantly better
