    Nice to finally find a video for a small space and also for someone who also doesn't own a store load of makeup. Great ideas and simple to do, many thanks.

    Hi! I really liked your video! Great ideas! Just wanted to help you with one tip that's one of my favorites.... I store my bobby pins in an old TIC TACS container! It's the perfect size, and you can take it with you when u are ready to travel!

  • @DoItOnaDime
    @DoItOnaDime  11 років тому

    Yes, I ended up doing that! I used 1/2 of a pacifier container because it was the perfect size and height :)

    One way to organize your makeup is to streamline it. As a professional I still only use one clear makeup back with the items I use every day and one bag for extras. Women have far too much makeup for what they need and that's a lot of unnecessary money being spent too.

    It looks great! One thing that I did since I don't have a cabinet to hide stuff in, is I put scrapbook paper on the inside/front of the drawers that I use to organize on the bathroom counter top. It 'hides' the visual part of what's in the drawers and helps to calm me down since I can't put the entire thing behind a cabinet door.

    Just an idea that I really love. Store bobby pins in those prescription medicine bottles. They are the perfect size and keeps them nice and orderly rather than sprawled out in a drawer.

    I did kind of he same thing, except I had one of tall 3 drawer sterlite rolling thing's, then from watching you, I headed to my dollar tree and bought all sizes of bin's, so make-up goes in 1 drawer, extra body wash etc. in another, then female product's ( for guest) I had a hysterectomy at 23, have no need for that stuff ) extra toothpaste, etc in another drawer as my bathroom is super tiny compared to my old one, and this was a BIG help. Thanks for sharing this video !

    this is an awesome tip! I'm getting ready to move so i know i will be using some of your ideas! for the bobby pins i use a plastic butter container the one that has the top attached to the bottom, i think i found it at the dollar store and i keep all my bobby pins in there and it keeps them together and it locks shut so they don't fall out.

    Great job! Use Dawn (classic blue) to wash your rings when your ring cleaner is all gone, it works much better, costs less and it washes dishes (and more) as well. I like using products for multiple tasks and simplifying things.

    The re-organized space looks really nice. You can even cover the sterilite drawer fronts by mod podging scrapbook chevron paper to match your cute little chevron containers from Target. I do that to all my sterilite drawers because I can't stand seeing into them ;)

    you are so dang smart! ok, i got one for you. i don't have a cupboard or a medicine cabinet in my bathroom. i do have drawers but all of my skin care and makeup is mostly on the counter. right now i have it in those plastic square stacking cubes from dollar tree but i still have all kinds of crap on the counter. i don't know what to do and like you said.. it's freakin stressful. i know where everything is but i want a more polished and clean looking presentation.

      You might rotate the colors of makeup you have out, different colors for different seasons. Also might try keeping some of the stuff you use on a tray, I like how Melissa Maker (Clean My Space) has her products she uses in the bathroom displayed, on a little tray that sits on the vanity. I tend to limit what's visual, though like you I have a lot of makeup (not that I always wear it lol). Good luck with your organizing

    I love and need that storage unit over the commode. My master bath (ha, nothing "master" about it) is about the size of your guest bath, and I store all my makeup and hair stuff under the vanity. I seriously need to get a grip on the chaos under there, you video has motivated me to get on it.
    I will definitely use rice, I have a bunch of it. What a great tip.
