I am Brazilian, We are going to visit Orlando next June, our rental car is from Hertz, SUV IFAR, Rogue and similar 😀 .

Everytime I’ve gotten a Q50 from Hertz it’s like a buggy at Walmart. 🤣 ya never know what kinda noise or scrape it’s gonna make the whole time.
Question, Its my first time renting a car and I'm planning to do it at hertz because I have presidents circle thanks to my Venture X, so would you recommend reserving a vehicle online or just showing up and getting a car at the airport? also how do the upgrades work? do I just find the cheapest offer online and then I get an automatic upgrade?
Definitely book a car online before you show up. It’s still possible even past Covid days they could be sold out. I have a preference for National myself. You might want to consider status matching your presidents circle status to national to get executive status. I should do a video on this. But if you google it that should bring up the webpage to do it.

Very true! I do find their prices can sometimes be cheaper although I do try my best to not rent with them unless they have someone in the presidents circle isle I really want to drive.
Does Hertz (MIA) have any special section for Hertz Platinum members? Great video!
Great question. I'm not familiar with Platinum members or the requirements for that. There is definitely a section for Presidents Circle members.

So why are all the convertibles always in the reserverd area at this station? Is there no choice for convertibles? Guess they tell me the number of the bay in the reserved area which I have to take the car from? Thanks and great job you do here!
That's pretty common for a lot of stations. Convertibles are usually Upper Premium and aren't ending up in the PC Choice Aisle.
So disappointed, I rented a FRAR and ended up getting a KIA Sorrento with 56k miles on it :( I was going to rent from SIXT, but numerous attempts to reach them prior to see if/how I could skip the counter turned up empty + reading so many negative reviews. Despite the crappy car, the rental experience is as smooth as can be, name with parking spot indicated on the board and drive out then check your driver's license scan the car and 1 minute you are out the gate!

Do you have any idea about the cost for upgrading to an ultimate series? Is it variable or fixed? Does your status get you discounts on upgrade costs?
Those are all great questions. I did ask awhile back when I was at SFO about upgrades for a Tesla Model 3 or a Hendricks Camaro. I have Presidents Circle status and that does seem to play a roll. These days they seem to quote whatever the computer says which is a really high number and then with some negotiation you can get it a bit lower. I would have to search through the comments but I think I was quoted something like $250/day on top of the booked rate. Hopefully once the car shortages get sorted out prices will come back down to earth. I have been meaning about asking the rate to upgrade into a Porsche or something like that and will try and find someone to ask next time I'm out there.

Definitely my first choice is always National as they have the best selection and more importantly the best customer service. Alamo and Enterprise are also owned by the same company and are good too.
