Hertz hurts. It has been reported that Hertz has poor inventory management so hundreds of Hertz customers have been falsely arrested due to the company reporting to local law enforcement stolen car reports against their customers. Don't get Hertz'd.
Your videos are helping a lot! Thank You! Subscribed! Question: Just Got President's Circle as a benefit from my credit card. With that status, assuming I need a 7 seat car and book a Minivan category at Orlando MCO for example, do I have good chances to get a free upgrade for a FFAR FullSize SUV? Or the PC Row normally does not have big cars like FFAR? Is the PC Row the only source of upgrade for a PC member?
Thanks so much for subscribing! So close to 1,000 now! Congrats on becoming a President's Circle member. If you need a 7 seat vehicle you best bet is to reserve that class. It can be hit or miss whether one shows up in the aisle. If there is one in the aisle when you show up you can always change your reservation down to a midsize or ask if they can adjust it back down at the gate because you found it in the Presidents Circle Aisle. That would avoid a situation where you show up with a midsize reservation and they don't have one available. Another thing to consider is a status match over to Executive Status with National and their emerald club with your Presidents Circle status. I'm a big fan of National and they have great customer service. That would give you another option.... More info here. status.emeraldclub.com/
I mentioned that question in a recent video and I suspect these are both the same thing. Ultimate Series and Ultimate Choice. And to a certain extent premium upgrades maybe.
Great video! Quick question, if I have five star category with hertz, can I pick any car from that isle just like National? I'm about to book LCAR or RCAR or DCAR but I'm not sure what cars are in there from these categories. Was it any hustle to pick up the car in hertz at that time? Google Maps reviews are awful lately
Thanks for the feedback! If you have Five Star status with Hertz then yes you can choose any car in the Five Star Asile if you book a mid size (medium car) or higher just like National. Hertz does include the Chrysler 300 in the LCAR luxury category and maybe also something like an Infiniti Q50 it really depends what they have available when you arrive. Your best bet is to reserve what you need or want. If you find something you like in the aisle you could always try and downgrade your reservation back to midsize or ask them to do that at the gate. As far as Hertz at this location I'm afraid it has a history of being a bit of a disaster customer service wise and the google reviews tend to confirm this. Myself I'm still getting invoices from PlatePass from a rental at this location more than 2 months after a rental where I used my own SunPass transponder and shouldn't have received any bills from PlatePass. You can see some of the cars in the five star isle at this point in the video: ua-cam.com/video/xCbF4LHD1fg/v-deo.html
Love the videos. Out of curiosity, how much extra does it cost to upgrade to an exotic collection or something like those nice 7 series. Assuming I’m an executive elite member
Hertz has both the SS and the base model convertibles. In the video I spotted two SS convertibles around the 6:55 mark and the parked one in spot #802 is a base model convertible which looks like a 2018. Most of the SS's have the optional black wheels while the base models had the aluminum 5 spoke wheels. I uploaded a video comparing the base model and the SS convertibles at National which are the same as the ones at Hertz. The SS models are fully loaded with heads up display and the rear view camera mirror and Bose audio. ua-cam.com/video/LlCjprEcn3s/v-deo.html
Unfortunately I've found with the strange times now with Covid and the car shortages many of the rental agencies don't even have an intermediate aisle operating or have no cars in it. What typically would happen if you show up with an intermediate reservation is they would assign a car out of the reserve for you. Or if you have any status with Hertz or National you could take a car from one of the isles.
Nice Video as always, watched all of them after finding you through flyertalk. Any chance that you'll be in Boston in the next months? Cant find anything about Hertz BOS on youtube and the last post in the flyertalk thread is 9 months old
Do you rent cars to Puerto Rican citizens ? I see you refused one recently because he didn't have his passport. I am a US citizen, do I need a passport to rent a car from you?
Yes however some car rental agencies charge an extra fee for those under $25. For Hertz more info is available here: www.hertz.com/rentacar/misc/index.jsp?targetPage=Hertz_Renting_to_Drivers_Under_25.jsp
Love the cars great video

I wonder does hertz ultimate series same thing with ultimate choice or not?

Great question, I'll check if it has an upgrade tag in hanging from the mirror or ask next time I see one in premier selection.
Nice video! Are those convertible camaros the SS version or the standard versions?

@@CarRentalGuy if it's the same Audio system as the Hendrick SS, it's very powerful and very good
Can you show Intermediate aisle options please?

Model Ys are now available at MIAMI
Awesome that's great news, thanks for letting us know!
Do you rent cars to Puerto Rican citizens ? I see you refused one recently because he didn't have his passport. I am a US citizen, do I need a passport to rent a car from you?
Too many customer service disasters with Hertz so I no longer cover them. Your best bet is to rent from National, Alamo or Enterprise.
@@CarRentalGuy I only rent from Enterprise myself, never Hertz
hi can renters under 25 rent
Yes however some car rental agencies charge an extra fee for those under $25. For Hertz more info is available here: www.hertz.com/rentacar/misc/index.jsp?targetPage=Hertz_Renting_to_Drivers_Under_25.jsp
Don't be fooled by the bells and whistles! Don't trust Hertz with your money! Rent elsewhere!
