PAANI PURI
Super crunchy puri that holds together the spiced potato and bengal gram mix topped with the sweet, tangy paani, just long enough to unburden the delicious snack in your mouth. A riot of flavours and textures, this Kolkata style paani puri is a must-eat here.

I make and sell chaat in a very rural part of the UK. Initially, it's a hard sell, but once people had tried it they're hooked. I add my own twist, like my Mex/Indian fusion bhel or a Thai fusion with satay sauce and fresh sweet fruit. I also make authentic bhel puri, tikki chaat and samosa chaat. Thank you for this video, it reminds me of my travels and why I started selling chaat.

Still remember this place from 2005, i used to work near cunningham road and we used to enjoy chaat in gangotree, andra lunch in alumpur and lassi in sreeraj lassi point.....But for chaats its Karthik mittai ... since 2003 [that when i came to bangalore] and Sunday morning chole battura in Karthik mittai .. indira nagar ... Iconic breakfast for me from last 15 years

Awesome video and I loved the history of chats explained. I feel that Masala puri is native to this place as you hardly get Masala puri out of Karnataka (a few places in Tamil Nadu though). Shanti Sagar near Sankey tank and Sukh Sagar in Majestic are THE "Chaat" pioneers in Bangalore (when it was a sleepy town served only by meter gauge trains).

Sir one think i can say is in Karnataka, we dont have some chats we are special for meals and breakfast but in delhi kolkatta mumbai wow they are very special in chats so many many types of chats wt a lovely.... must visit all places but in karnataka we need tht aall chats........ if u addict withh chats then u need daily.......

2 restaurants, Sukh Sagar and Shanti Sagar were already serving amazing chaat waaaay before Gangotri which allegedly opened in 1986. One near Makjestic the other near Sankey Tank. I am talking of late 70s when I came to IISc Bangalore (then known as Tata Institute) from Ahmedabad (a historical chaat destination).
I thoughrly enjoyed this episode of Gangotri chat. I was feeling that I am experiencing all the chats over there and the close up shots of the chats made my day. I love your work sir. Please continue your awesome work....👍👍👍👍
