I think it is going to work just fine myself once I get the timing down on dipping the birds in hot water. Thanks for commenting. God Bless!

You are very welcome. I got eggs in the incubator now so in few weeks I'll be doing another video doing the real test. Thanks for commenting.

Thanks for sharing! I was going to make a drill powered plucker, but I like this a whole lot better. I have an old lathe with a motor and pulley system I can repurpose instead.
Great work, thanks for the idea!

Looks like it’s gonna work good. Reminds me of when I built my chicken plucker last year.

Hello guys good to see you. I know yall have been working hard and I think of you two often. I'm thinking of building a chicken Plucker in the near future.

  • @themcfarlandteamatremax2341

Now you have a glove defuzzer and a quail plucker. 🤣
That's a great idea, it saved you a little $ and it worked really well.

I think it is going to be a winner. I got eggs in the incubator now so it want- be long we will be doing a real test. I like birds cooked with skin on and fish cooked with bone still in. I think they taste better that way.

You did a great job.....those pluckers machines are pretty expensive

Very ingenious! You can never have too much mule tape laying around either. On the switch, how bout using an outdoor socket cover with the clear plastic door? We just had to have one put on an outdoor receptacle on the barn that got wet and shorted out.

I built a duck plucker for wild ducks I used a sguirrel cage and took a piece of tin with our fingers thru it and wrapped it around the cage when we run it you just put your bird in your hand and push up from the under side to dry pluck a duck. Only took a minute to do a duck am sure it would work for a quail we also used it for scalded chicken

If it plucks a dry duck, it may rip a quail to pieces. I tied the drill attachment type but I did not like it at all.

@@papawsplace I can’t send pictures im sitting in Florida and I’m from Canada all I used was a squirrel cage and motor from a air system Took A piece of tin drilled holes for fingers to be pulled through then wrapped it around the cage with fingers pointing out you could use any round drum as long as you can spin it just point fingers out not in so you can push your bird against it manually you could even use your blue pail just reverse the fingers so they are pointing out and spin it on a shaft Your spin direction is away from you from underneath and you hold bird against it from underneath and it pulls the feathers away from you .push as hard or as soft as you like
