- On today's episode, Mike sits with Christian Craighead, a Former SAS Warrant Officer Second Class Christian Craighead. Christian was awarded the Conspicuous Gallantry Cross for the bravery he displayed in the attack on the Dusit D2 Hotel complex in Nairobi in January 2019. Christian has also published a book for children entitled 'The Wrong Wolf'.

Grew up not too far away from Mr. Craighead, lived in US for 22 years now and everything he says is bang on. Love being British but its lost its way, people encouraged into their boxes... very enlightening when i moved here. Shame because theres still immense potential which will never get realized back home.
This man is a legend. Makes me so proud to be British, never get tired of this story.

As an ex uk infantry soldier, it pains me to hear how our shitty government and top brass, have treated you sir. Your actions and professionalism make me so proud to be British and a lot of us support you. I feel this treatment has been a major factor in your decision to leave uk. It's a very sad reflection on the UK when a man of the calibre of Chris decides that he will be better off in the States (nothing against the USA by the way). We are busy making celebrities and 'heroes' out of complete non entities whilst apparently not recognising or rewarding people like Chris who are actually real life heroes. His actions and the actions of those like him should be taught in schools.

The youth minister at my church was working as a missionary in Nairobi when the incident in Nairobi occurred. He remembers it well. I gave a copy of The Wrong Wolf to his daughters yesterday.

I don't think I have ever laid eyes on an S.A.S., SEAL, DELTA, Ranger, Green Beret etc. that wasn't extremely humble.

Chris. I wouldn't worry about what liberals and the establishment here in the U.K think about your actions. To us, you are a bloody hero, mate! but as you know, we tend to understate things.
Most ordinary people here in the UK have nothing but contempt for our cowardly politicians but hold people like you in high esteem. I am from a service family background so probably feel that more than many.

I can’t think of anything worse than to tell young men who are going into harms way not to take initiative in a situation where lives are at stake. What a great example… of terrible leadership!
Discussions with this man will probably become part of great historical value so maybe next time schedule the repair work for when no one is on the set.

Personally as a Brit the vast majority of normal people are very proud of the military but what it sounds like to me is a number of high ranking posh jealous idiots are having their 2 cents worth. In terms of my opinion on opportunity in the UK as opposed to US. It’s totally possible in the UK to start from nothing and be as successful as you like unless its in the gun industry and training to use them. This is where Christian will find more opportunity in the US as although we can own guns in the UK we are limited in what we can own and there isn’t a culture of training/concept of a militia/2A here. Bottom line if your skill set is using guns and killing people and you want to try and apply that to civvy life then the US is the place to be. Otherwise the UK will suit you fine. Imo.
