Christian Craighead... Listening to this has just made me body shiver remembering that fateful day at Dusit where I happened to be in. A life-changing day I will live to remember. Listening to Chris has just brought closure to know that God does use such to rescue lives. Thank you so much for the courage. You saved 69 of us in my office.

This man, Christian, epitomizes what it is to be a warrior under the motto WHO DARES WINS!
I know exactly where I was when the chaos erupted at the hotel. It was loud, chaotic, and the smell of fire was intense.
Chris answered a call for help, and his decades of training and instincts kicked in. Chris quite literally ran into the fire with no regard for himself and executed a rescue mission that saved hundreds.
We not only owe Chris our lifelong gratitude but also our RESPECT!!!
Whatever the behind the scenes were with the military after the fact, I would wonder if anyone in the hierarchy would have had the ball faced courage to step up and do the same.
This unassuming British Special Forces Officer displayed for the world to see what it is to do the right thing honorably.
    THANK YOU, it seems inadequate.
    THANK YOU, Christian.

This man will be an inspiration to many, just because the cameras were there. But he'd've done it anyway, not because he's extraordinary, but because the moment was extraordinary. His struggle with PTSD is because he would still be ordinary... but for the cameras.
Chris, you had the chance to make the world a better place and did so. The Americans have a trite-sounding saying, but I really mean it, and you will know that it's not just for you, but you as representative of those who also serve - but unseen, humble of spirit and caring of heart:
    "Thank you for your service".

“Wolves are the ones that do things when they need to be done, without orders, off their own back and with total aggression and commitment…and the sheepdogs will do it if they have to, but won’t do it unless the shepherd tells them to do it.” I love this because no one has ever put it like this, we hear a lot about the sheep/wolf/sheepdog thing but not the added nuance of wolves being able to function independently of expectation or influence while fulfilling the role of the sheepdog.

    • @1life2risk
      @1life2risk 4 дні тому

Maybe. I'd like more the comparison to herd protection dogs like Maremma-Abruzzi Shepherd Dog, Owtscharka etc., on the other hand. They are active protectors growing up and living with an for the well being of the herd. Their job is to protect the herd from potential enemies, such as wolves. Their strong protective instinct enables them to work independently, to do things when they need to be done (like the wolves) and they work without direct orders from their handler. I think this strong protective instinct is the the true warroir's instinct.

First off, the film Who Dares Wins was released in the US as The Final Option. I bought it at a gun show in VHS format when it was released in 1982 along with The Wild Geese. Unfortunately the stars have all passed away, including more recently Lewis Collin’s who played SAS Captain Peter Skellen in WDW/TFO. He was a member of the SAS Territorials (Reserves). I was a “young” fireman when it came out in 1982 and I was excited to see a very loosely telling of the Prince’s Gate op. There’s a newer version which is much closer to the real tale called Six Days. Another factoid: American Army Colonel Charles Beckwith trained with the SAS for a couple of years then came back to the States and formed up our Delta Force as a respectful imitation of the British Unit (as our force has also been nicknamed). I have a first edition copy of his book Delta Force that I also picked in that time frame at a gun show.
Well done, Christian Craighead, (or whatever your name is), admirable action in a high pressure time of need. Congrats on your past successes and good fortune in the future. Welcome to Texas, USA, brother. Maybe I’ll see you here in Flint, near Tyler.

As a man a little older than Chris but also from a N/E English council estate. The incidents that happened, happened to just about every young lad I know to various different levels. It was horrendous the stuff that used to happen. You sink or swim in life after those experiences. Chris obviously swims like an Olympic champion.

What a riveting listen, start to finish. This man is a Template for being a good human being.
Also, as a believer in High Strangeness and the Paranormal, the story he told about meeting the well dressed man the day of the attack tells me he met a white hat entity or messenger/receiver who then relayed his safe blessings from the Source Creator who had placed him at that time and place. His whole life was training for that moment.

You just know if he's got your back, he's got your back,a perfect team mate. I've seen a few interviews with him now. I like his honesty, the way he kinda jumbles up what he's saying shows he's just a regular dude who decided to pushed himself to his full capacity and look what he's achieved. He's the epitome of a role model for young men. You can transform the trauma of being bullied into a superpower and this is the ultimate revenge against weak vermin who bully.

Have heard Chris on all the military pods (Shawn Ryan’s is great), and still will listen to it again and again.
When will he do Jocko, JP and Rogan?! They’d all have a field day with him from their respective angles, he hits every base with his story.
My heart also bleeds for him for what he’s vowed never to mention from his childhood … I can only think it’s likely sexual abuse. What a life he’s lived and amazing things he’s done in response.
