I love that they didn’t really nerf him in the movie. Strange just had to employ foreign aspect to Dormammu’s reality. I found it so unique for the MCU.
The battle with Dormammu was genius, and so true to the kinds of stories you'd have found in Strange Tales. It had the snappy cleverness of a fable ripped straight out of mythology, but wrapped in the pulpy psychedelic spectacle of cosmic supernatural comics, and inflated with the kind of overwhelmingly massive visual grandeur only possible on the big screen. As a long-time comics fan, I was SO happy with how well they pulled it off. It was like, this, THIS is what it feels like to read this!

I so enjoyed this, I’ve been a huge Dormammu fan since his first battle with Dr. Strange. But Im surprised that you didn’t cover when Galactus consumed Dormammu in his own realm. Hell lords are always noted for being all powerful in their own dimensions, and Galactus doesn’t get sustenance from magic, or he’d eat all the magic in the 616 Universe. But as I said, I loved the listing of so many of the Dread Lords feats.
Yeah I watched it. But it’s not made abundantly clear, Galactus can’t consume Magic, and depicting such is as ridiculous as when Donny Caitt’s portrayed Galactus as the creation of the Black Winter. Sorry, but I call bullshit on both counts.

The blind Loki absorbed the power of the evil eye. Him and Dormammu were fighting over it, in which Loki gained the upper hand. That's the comic where Loki and Dormmy teamed up to defeat their enemies the Avengers and the Defenders.
While Loki Tackled Dormammu from behind, definitely taking him by surprise, but it was the hex of the Scarlet Witch that caused the Evil Eye’s wild reaction. But I don’t know that I would say a Blinded Loki had the upper hand on an amped Dormammu.

Dormammu's biggest weakness is his own insecurities and self doubt, he probably could take out the entire universe if he actually was confident enough that he could.

I really wish that they wouldn't have only brought in Dormammu for that one scene. He's not just some OP cosmic being that came out of nowhere. He has a very detailed backstory, and tons of feats and appearances in marvel comics throughout the years. I know It's a tough task to translate a cosmic being to the TV screen, as opposed to someone like Doom or Thanos, But in many cases, dormammu has been seen as a humanoid type being with a flaming head. Anyway I just hope they do bring him back at some point in the MCU down on the road.
