Hey Rob, you ever consider doing a video of your top favorite comic stories? I use your videos as recommendations for my future reads and would be really curious to know which ones are your favorites
Ok so does this mean the Juggernaut isnt a mutant? Also what is the defining variable that separates superhumans (ie the Avengers) from mutants (ie the X-Men)?
Juggernaut as Cain Marko was never a mutant. A mutant can become the Juggernaut but Cain is not one, no. Also for your other question. Mutants are born and contain the X gene, it's what defines them as mutant. People, say like Spider-man are sometimes referred to as mutates. Meaning even though it was biological you got your powers from outside means. There are instances of mutate parents having mutant children though, most famously is Franklin Richards.
I think the reason why people get made with change in comics is because with the way comics are made and sold now if the powers that be change a certain aspects of a character...if the company sees positive feedback from the change...the comic will stick with that change, retcon the character and make the new twist cannon. So fans voice vocal to dislike to let thr company their displease with the change so the company knows fans want the original version of the character back...further encouraging the company to do so
I feel for Juggernaut in terms of character development, you can see patterns or directions that they want to go and than for whatever reason they tend to fade and Juggs just gets back burner'ed. Even currently when he got the powers back and it was kind of a prison for him in a sense when he left his 'normal' life, it just kind of wanes again after that....meh.
The living monolith was already able to reach cosmic levels of strength and energy manipulation, but the living juggernaut looks way more bad ass than colossus juggernaut
I swear, if Gorath got bored and decided to join in the Octessense, the avatar who somehow found his stone would wreck the other avatars. I would like to see more of the Octessence fleshed out. More avatars, more battles, more awesomeness. Thanks Rob!
Attempt #8
Beyond Omega Level - Michael Demiurgos
Really, I would like to know more about the Octessence members.
You’re the man rob never quit!!
00:01 - 05:09 Rob standing outside holding a microphone reporting on location during a hurricane.
05:10 - 18:04 Cyttorak Explained video starts
There are instances of mutate parents having mutant children though, most famously is Franklin Richards.
mutants are humans that are born with powers stuff like the hulk and spiderman are not
I think the reason why people get made with change in comics is because with the way comics are made and sold now if the powers that be change a certain aspects of a character...if the company sees positive feedback from the change...the comic will stick with that change, retcon the character and make the new twist cannon. So fans voice vocal to dislike to let thr company their displease with the change so the company knows fans want the original version of the character back...further encouraging the company to do so
Thanos knew the crimson bands of Cyttorak were serious.
Sheltered, hostile, possessive, bitter. Truly he's the God of all nerds.
Could you do a video on Mephisto
I feel for Juggernaut in terms of character development, you can see patterns or directions that they want to go and than for whatever reason they tend to fade and Juggs just gets back burner'ed. Even currently when he got the powers back and it was kind of a prison for him in a sense when he left his 'normal' life, it just kind of wanes again after that....meh.
Now we just need a story on the other 7 gems with Juggy and other mutants/celestials trying to obtain them to rule over mankind.
"Im the Juggernaut Bitch"-'s Powersource :D nuff said :D
Rob, please!
Explain the Upside-Down Man!
Juggernaut once shared 1/2 of his power with Black Tom.
The living monolith was already able to reach cosmic levels of strength and energy manipulation, but the living juggernaut looks way more bad ass than colossus juggernaut
War of the Octessence! We also deserve more Cyttorak
Are you ever gonna make a complete history of DC video? Would love to get started on that
I swear, if Gorath got bored and decided to join in the Octessense, the avatar who somehow found his stone would wreck the other avatars. I mean its shuma for christ sake, even strange at his peak couldn't easily keep up with the giant green octopus, so which means atleast a fraction of his power would be beyond omega levels of magnitude.
Big fan Rob hope your doing well during quarantine. Can’t wait for more great videos!
Beyond Omega Level: Animal Man(DC)
1:16 song ?
Been waiting for an analysis of this character.
Some changes are trash though, Rob.
much like Galactus who takes the form of whatever species that sees him cyttorak can take different forms in different dimensions and in his dimension, he be in his true form
Monks, always messing with forces they can't understand.
